Cell Monitoring Counters
You can monitor some counters of an RNC cell object and display the number and details of overrun and
transitional counters in the selected monitoring counters on the . In this way, you can obtain the information
about the performance of current RNC cell monitored groups.
NOTE:
The centralized network monitoring function can monitor the performance for creating the RNC or BSC6900
UMTS and their corresponding cells, which facilitates the monitoring of object performance. If you need to
use the performance monitoring function, the monitored group must be composed of RNCs or BSC6900
UMTSs, respectively. The combination of RNCs and BSC6900 UMTSs is not supported.
When creating monitored groups, you can select the counters to be monitored in the group and set the upper
and lower limits and transitional values of each monitoring counter. The overrun counters refer to the counters
whose values are greater than the upper limit or smaller than the lower limit. The transitional counters refer to
the counters whose difference of two successive values is greater than the transitional value. The system
collects statistics on overrun counters and transitional counters in real time so that you can know the
performance status of the current monitored group.
Table 1 describes the cell monitoring counters. You can click the related pane on the monitoring panel, and
then view the overrun performance counters or transitional counters in the counter list in the lower part of the
window.

NOTE:
The number of RRC setup requests refers to the number of
requests for initiating services.
AMR RAB Assignment Success Rate Number of "AMR RB setup complete" messages received by the
RNC from the UE and the RAB assignment responses sent by
the RNC to the CN/Number of AMR RAB assignment requests
received by the RNC from the CN x 100%
