We are a group of girls from the local area aged S1+ at-
tending the girls group at the Jack Kane community
centre. We decided to create a magazine because last term we worked on a cat walk show about young females then people from the group came up with the idea to do a magazine, so now we are working on a magazine that shows all the things we think are cool, and theres an about me section to find out more about us. We hope you enjoy the first edition of our new magazine! If you want a yummy tea, Go to McChans, at the Fort. If you want to borrow or read a book, Go to Craigmillar Library.

The Syrian civil war, which began with pro- tests around the country in March 2011, has resulted in millions of people having to leave their homes, becoming refugees in countries around the region such as Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon, or becoming internal displaced within Syria.
