Course: AB English Language, First Year
1) What is your perspective on teenage pregnancy?
It is an obvious issue in our society and is a major contributor to poverty, single
parenthood and limited futures for adolescents and their children.
2) What do you think are the main causes of teenage pregnancy?
The factors that causes it is the lack of parental guidance, adolescent sexual
behavior like peer pressure, alcoholism and failure of birth control.
3) Do you think teenagers have the capability to raise a child? No, they are not.
4) Are teenagers emotionally ready to have a child? No, they are not.
5) What do you think are the possible outcomes of teenage pregnancy?
Teenagers are more likely going to drop out of school, have low qualifications, have
fewer skills, be unemployed, live in poor housing conditions, and suffer from
depression.
6) Do you know a student studying in Silliman University got pregnant? Yes, I do.
7) Do you think abortion is the possible solution for the unwanted pregnancy? No, it is
not.
8) How do you think teens will cope up with the reality of being pregnant and deal with
those problems?
By being responsible enough of taking the consequences of their actions, being
prepared of what is to come and acceptance of the reality.
9) Do you think sex education is one of the effective tools in preventing teenage
pregnancy? Yes, it is.
10) How do you prevent teenage pregnancy in your own way?
By broadening my knowledge on teenage pregnancy, focusing on my studies,
abstaining from peer pressure or choosing friends carefully and thinking first before
taking it into actions.

1) What is your perspective on teenage pregnancy?
It refers to teenage girls that have not reached legal adulthood who become
pregnant.
2) What do you think are the main causes of teenage pregnancy?
The main causes are teenagers low self-esteem, low ambitions and goals,
inadequate knowledge about it, sexual abuse and socio-economic factors (poverty).
3) Do you think teenagers have the capability to raise a child? No, they are not.
4) Are teenagers emotionally ready to have a child? No, they are not.
5) What do you think are the possible outcomes of teenage pregnancy?
Teenage pregnancy can have detrimental socio economic and psychological
outcomes for teenage mothers like have a higher risk for low birth weight and infant
mortality; have lower levels of emotional support and cognitive stimulation; and
have lower school and work achievement.
6) Do you know a student studying in Silliman University got pregnant? No, I do not.
7) Do you think abortion is the possible solution for the unwanted pregnancy? No, it is.
8) How do you think teens will cope up with the reality of being pregnant and deal with
those problems?
By seeking professional or Christian counseling or advices and take full responsibility
of it.
9) Do you think sex education is one of the effective tools in preventing teenage
pregnancy? Yes, it is.
10) How do you prevent teenage pregnancy in your own way?
By following Gods plan, be committed to my studies and educate myself about
teenage pregnancy of what is its causes and effects.

1) What is your perspective on teenage pregnancy?
As we can see more and more teenagers are involved to this kind of problem which
is really a big problem because of course they contribute some factors that will
affect their life and the society.
2) What do you think are the main causes of teenage pregnancy?
I think it is because of our modernized world. The more high technology we have,
the more problem we face. Like for example, some teenagers in this generation are
indulge in viewing pornographic websites and for me it increases their sexual desire.
3) Do you think teenagers have the capability to raise a child? No, they are not.
4) Are teenagers emotionally ready to have a child? No, they are not.
5) What do you think are the possible outcomes of teenage pregnancy?
If there are more and more teenagers wholl get pregnant, our community will be
unproductive.

By just facing the problem. As long as their family is there to support, they can easily
cope up.

By keeping myself busy through focusing on my studies.
