Thank you for your interest in the Jean Jacques Machado Affiliate Program! Our goal
is to provide school owners with high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instruction as well as
resources that will help your school grow. As a result, it is only available by direct invi-
tation from Jean Jacques Machado. Upon reviewing this material in this brochure, you
can request an application form should you decide to take the next step in becoming
an Official Jean Jacques Machado Affiliate school.
Why Affiliate?
There are many good reasons to join the Jean Jacques Machado Affiliate Program.
Some of which include the following:

One of the true legends in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Submission Grappling, Jean Jacques
Machado has received extensive media coverage, both in print and film. As a result he
is one of the most recognizable figures in the sport. Having the Machado brand as a
part of your school identity in combination with our on-going marketing campaign will

As part of your affiliate membership, you gain access to Jean Jacques Global Online
Training Program. With over 1,000 techniques, drills and strategies, your students can
always expect dynamic, fun classes while learning high-level Brazilian jiu-jitsu tech-
niques all based on the teachings of Jean Jacques Machado.
State of the art resources and support.
Many affiliate programs limit you to one or two yearly visits from the chief instructor.
With live web feeds and instructor-only webinars - powered by the JJ Machado
Online Training Program, you will have access to Jean Jacques on a regular basis.
This ensures your training - and teaching is consistent and of the highest quality.
Increased income through merchandising.
As a Jean Jacques Machado affiliate, you will receive special discounts on all official
JJM merchandise (shirts, hats, DVDs, etc.). This will allow you to sell merchandise at
your academy, earning you additional income.

The following is a list of key benefits afforded to affiliate members:

Official Logo Use.
Permission to use academy logo on school advertising and other promotional material
such as business cards, letterheads, websites and school signage.
Listing on Official Jean Jacques Machado Website.
Your school name will be listed on the official Jean Jacques Machado Website. The
website receives heavy traffic and will provide additional exposure for you
and your school.
Assets for you and your school.
As part of your sign-up package, all affiliate owners will receive a set of Official Jean
Jacques Machado academy patches for their uniforms. In addition, an Official Repre-
sentative plaque suitable for hanging will be provided.
Member Discounts.
Affiliates receive discounted rates on Jean Jacques Machado seminars, workshops
and official merchandise. In addition, affiliates receive additional discounts on bulk
purchases of official JJM merchandise (DVDs, clothing, etc.) that can be resold at their
academy.
Unlimited training at Jean Jacques Academy.
In an effort to promote and encourage steady development, Affiliate owners have
access to unlimited training at Jean Jacques Machados Academy in Tarzana, Califor-
nia.
Rank Promotion eligibility.
All affiliate owners and their respective students become eligible for rank advance-
ment through the program. Belt curriculum and rank guidelines will be provided.

Instructor Membership in the Jean Jacques Machado Global Online Training
Program.
Jean Jacques Machados Online Training powers the affiliation program and gives you
on-demand access to a wealth of knowledge and material all founded on the teach-
ings and principles of Jean Jacques Machado. As an affiliate enrolled in the program
you also have increased benefits that go beyond the average membership:
Private e-seminars.
Access to special affiliate members only streaming webinars. Special instructor
seminars that allow you to interact live with Jean Jacques.
Recognition as an Online Training Guest Instructor.
You have your own section with complete information on you and your school. You
can also upload your own instructional techniques to share with our Global member-
ship. You will even have the ability to post lesson plans for your students that have
memberships in the program, giving them the ability to research the material and
better prepare for class. A Guest Instructor membership is a fantastic way to network
and gain exposure (and students) for you and your school.
Guest instructor listing on the official Jean Jacques Machado website.
You will be listed as a guest instructor on the official Jean Jacques Machado web-
site. The online training page on the official Jean Jacques Machado website will list
all the guest instructors in the program. This is yet even more exposure for you and
your academy, and can be a great addition to your training resume.

AFFILIATE PROGRAM
In order to be considered for inclusion as an affiliate of Jean Jacques Machado, the
following requirements must be met and maintained:
Grappling Experience.
Applicants must have a basic knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu, both in application and
instruction.
Insurance.
You must provide proof of liability insurance for your school. The minimum coverage
shall be no less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00).
Location.
You must be no less than a 30 minute commute from any neighboring Machado
affiliate. We recommend you view the school locator at jeanjacquesmachado.com.
References.
We request 2 references that we can contact. The references cannot be family
members.
Background and Credit Check.
A thorough background check is required.
Additional Requirements.
This list is not exhaustive and there may be additional requirements at the time of
admission.

AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Jean Jacques Machado Affiliate memberships are based on a one-year agreement.
Fees consists of the following:
ONE YEAR AFFILIATE AGREEMENT:
A down payment of $250.00 is due upon signing agreement, and 11 installments of
$250.00 for the remaining term of the agreement. Monthly payments are collected via
Electronic Funds Transfer.
Should you wish to pay the membership in full, a 20% discount will be applied to the
total fee ($250.00 x 12 months = $3,000.00 - $600.00 = $2,400.00)
MERCHANDISE AGREEMENT:
Affiliates are required to distribute official JJM academy merchandise. The minimum
wholesale purchase distributors are obligated to meet is $1,000.00 net per annum.
STUDENT ASSOCIATION FEES:
Students of an affiliate school may register as members of the Jean Jacques
Machado Jiu-Jitsu Association. Membership costs $50.00, paid annually. Membership
includes:

AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Seminars and workshops are optional services. You are under no obligation to
purchase and are not required to host seminars as part of your affiliation agreement.
They are however, highly recommended in regards to student evaluations and belt
promotions. Jean Jacques maintains strict requirements for rank advancement.
Seminars are not only a great opportunity for personal interaction with Jean Jacques,
but they also help maintain high standards within your school, encourage student
retention, validate your belt promotions and offer a memorable, motivating experience
for your students who receive rank advancement from both you and Jean Jacques
Machado.
LOCAL AFFILIATES (So. Cal Area) Jean Jacques will make an introductory visit to
your school and conduct a class free of charge. He is available for local affiliate
workshops (two hours) at a cost of $1,000.00.
JEAN JACQUES MACHADO SEMINAR FEES: Seminars consist of three hours of
instruction per day. The following are affiliate seminar fees (effective 01-11 for
Continental U.S. and Canada):
1 Day Seminar - $2,500.00 + *Travel Expenses ($3,500 for non-affiliate schools)
2 Day Seminar - $3,500.00 + *Travel Expenses ($4,500 for non-affiliate schools)
International Seminars Fees: Price TBD (2 Day Minimum)
WORKSHOP FEES: Workshops are conducted by accredited Jean Jacques
Machado Black Belt Instructors and provide the affiliate the ability to request a
particular curriculum. Workshops also give the Instructor the opportunity to monitor
the progress of the student body as well as address any areas needing assistance.
The following are affiliate workshop fees (effective 01-11):
1 Day Workshop - $1,500.00 + *Travel Expenses
2 Day Workshop - $2,500.00 + *Travel Expenses
*Travel Expenses consist of Airfare, Food & Lodging.

The following services are optional and are provided as a means of generating
additional revenue for your school. You are under no obligation to purchase.
Online Training Membership Packages:
Your affiliate status entitles you to an affiliate membership in the Online Training
program. Although not mandatory, we encourage all students of affiliate members to
join the Jean Jacques Machado Online Training Program. A student membership
costs $24.99 per month. We are offering the following membership packages that you
can purchase and then resell to your students, allowing you increased monthly
revenue.
10 OTP Memberships - $149.90 per month

20 OTP Memberships - $259.80 per month
You pay - $ 12.99 per mo. You sell - $24.99/mo. ( $240.00 per month max. profit )

All Membership packages are paid by the affiliate via Electronic Funds Transfer.
