Vivian Chih, CMHC
Vivian Chih is the Corporate Representative in
Eastern Ontario for Canada Mortgage and Housing
Corporation (CMHC) and works throughout the
region to build capacity and promote CMHC products
and services with a variety of community stakeholders
for the development affordable housing in sustainable
communities.
Vivian holds an undergraduate degree from McGill
University and an MBA from Concordia University
and brings over ffteen years of experience in the
housing fnance environment, working within leading
public and private sector organizations.
Arlene Etchen, CMHC
Arlene Etchen is a Senior Research Consultant
for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
(CMHC) responsible for the promotion of sustainable
communities through workshops, presentations
and community outreach. In her current role, she
works with a wide range of stakeholder groups to
advance the development of sustainable, affordable and
accessible housing and communities.
Arlene has been working in the urban planning
and energy sectors for more than 10 years in a
communications and stakeholder relations
capacity, with a specialty in sustainability initiatives. She
completed her undergraduate degree at Ryerson
University and post-graduate studies at both Ryerson
and York Universities. Arlene has also been involved
in volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity, the Track
3 Ski Association and Earth Day Canada.
BIOGRAPHIES
John Henderson MCIP, RPP
John is a Housing Programs Administrator with the
City of Kingston and has a background in land use plan-
ning and development approvals. With the City John is
responsible for managing and implementing programs
related to the development of additional affordable
housing options within the City of Kingston. Prior to
joining the City John provided land use planning con-
sulting services to support a variety of residential and
commercial development projects throughout south-
eastern Ontario.
Robert Keene, Infrastructure Ontario
Robert Keene has been Senior Relationship
Manager for Eastern Ontario with the Infrastructure
Ontario Loan Program since 2006. During that time
Robert has assisted numerous municipalities, universities,
Affordable Housing Providers, long-term care homes,
hospices and municipal corporations fnance their
infrastructure projects. Robert has over 25 years
experience managing client relationships in the
fnancial services business in Canada and the UK.
Prior to joining IO he was Vice President of Enterprise
Services and Vice President UK Operations at AGF
Management Limited.
Andrew Scott, CMHC
Andrew Scott specializes in housing market and
economic conditions for the Kingston and Eastern
Ontario area. Prior to joining CMHC he worked in
economic analysis and forecasting in both the private
and public sectors. Andrew holds an MA in Economics
from York University. u
Bob Richards, MA, Principal of Sustainability
Bob Richards is the Principal of Sustainability.
Sustainability is a consulting frm that assists faith
and non-faith based not-for-profts to be sustainable
through effective strategic planning, marketing and
fundraising. As a consultant to EDGE, the
United Church of Canadas network for new ministry
development and ministry renewal, he works with
congregations to leverage their property resources to
enable new visions and new ministries. He focuses on
serving the needs of donors, volunteers and members
and engages them in the mission of the organization.
Angela Roy, CMHC
Angela Roy is the Senior Financing Consultant with
CMHCs Affordable Housing Centre. In her role,
she is responsible for maximizing the production of
affordable housing by building capacity and generating
innovative solutions to issues and challenges related
to housing development and management. Her
career spans over 30 years of experience in real estate
and fnancing within CMHC and the private sector.
Angelas volunteer work includes Habitat for
Humanity, Cancer Walk for Life and Community
Sports Associations.
Mary Lynn Cousins Brame, BA, MBA
Mary is the Chief Executive Offcer of Kingston and
Frontenac Housing Corporation. Mary Lynn is
responsible for the overall administration and
management of the housing portfolio consisting
of 1043 units of adult and family social housing and
senior affordable housing units. Mary Lynn is a
founding member of the Chartered Institute of
Housing Canada and the Chair of the Provincial
Independent Local Housing Corporations.

Brent Bellamy
For the past ffteen years Brent has been the
General Manager of Science 44 Co-operative, a
student housing co-operative that was incorporated
in 1941. Brent is a graduate from St. Lawrence College
and has a background in Finance and Administration.
Prior to Brents arrival at Science 44 Co-operative he
was the Administrator for a ninety-bed retirement
home in Pembroke and before that the Director of
Finance for the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre.
Over the past ffteen years Science 44
Co-operative has performed physical changes and
progressive improvements to the housing
properties in order to reduce the energy consumption
burden on the environment and improve the safety and
security of the members. These improvements were
implemented while remaining fscally responsible to the
organization and at no additional cost to the
members. Science 44 Co-operative focusses on
providing quality affordable housing Science 44
Co-operative has made remarkable initiatives and
set a strong example of what a student-housing
co-operative can be do for its community.
