STYLISTIC Q550
The STYLISTIC Q550 is designed with the professional
workforce in mind. This handbook will enable you to:

Optimize your machine running on the Intel atom allows the Q550 an
extended battery life and reduced overheating tremendously. The
following quick steps will enable you to use your machine to its optimal
perfomance.

The STYLISTIC Q550 features several cool touch functions that enable
the easy usage of the Q550 while on the move and even without a
keyboard. In this instruction, you will learn several easy and efficient
techniques to handle a slate without the need for a keyboard!

Uninstall Preinstalled Antivirus
Uninstalling the existing anti virus on your computer will boost the operation of
your Q550. A more compatible anti-virus software with the atom processor
can be downloaded from the Microsoft Website called Microsoft Security
Essentials.
Uninstall Antivirus
Your Computer will run faster and still be protected!
At the taskbar, click on the Battery icon, click on more power options

Go to additional plans and click on High performance your Q550 should
run a lot faster now!
Setting High performance is a simple way to ensure
your Q550 is running at Top Speed!

Go to start menu and right click on my computer
Click on properties
When this menu appears, click on
advanced system setting
Go to the advanced tab and click on
Settings under Performance
Under Visual Effects Tab
Click on Adjust for best performance
Navigating around your windows should be faster now!
Do note however that not all touch functions are
available when you do this setting.
Selecting Aero Theme (Important for Touch!)
Enabling the Basic Theme enables you to utilize all the
Touch Features on Windows 7!
Repeat previous steps until you get to performance options window
Click on the Advanced tab beside the Visual Effects Tab
Click on Change button
Unclick Automatically manage paging file size for all drives select
Custom size input 3037 for both Intial Size and Maximum Size and
click okay.
Processing Power of your Q550 will be improved!

Click on the circled icon x-mini icon and select the larger size it will
enlarge selection buttons on the windows and make it easier to navigate
with the touch!
Two Finger Touch
Zooming with Touch
With two fingers, move
the fingers apart to zoom
out and move two fingers
together to zoom in.
Rotating Images
Touch the item you want
to rotate, with one finger
on the screen, use the
other finger to rotate the
image.
Context Sensitive Menu
To quickly adjust
multimedia functions and
other shortcut keys on
the Q550, quickly tap
twice the screen with two
fingers.
A menu will appear which
will allow you to adjust
volume, display settings,
wifi and many more
options!
Presentation Tips
While in presentation
mode (e.g. Powerpoint)
you are able to write on
your presentation as if it
were a piece of paper.

If you want to change to
the next slide, place one
finger on the screen and
using another finger, flick
to the left as if turning a
page, you will be able to
change slides as well as
write on your Q550!
Three Finger Touch
Minimize/Maximize a Window
To Minimize a Window,
select the window you
want to minimize with 3
fingers and swipe
downwards. To Maximize
a Window, swipe upwards.
To Minimize all Windows,
double tap the screen
with 3 fingers.
Scrolling through Open Windows
Tap with 3 fingers on the
screen and hold it.
All the opened Windows
will appear, tap with one
finger the windows you
want or hold your 3
fingers on the screen to
scroll through the
windows. Tap twice with
3 fingers to go to
desktop.
Four Finger Touch
Magnify an Area on a Screen
With Four Fingers, touch
with a quick tap to make
a square shape on the
desired area/size.
A magnifying box will
appear magnifying the
area selected. Drag the
box around with one
finger to magnify any
area around the screen

You can even adjust the
level of zoom for the
selected area!
Capture an Area on the Screen
Put four fingers on the
screen and hold it there
until the area turns light
blue.
A box with options will allow you to
1. Email the photo (email has to be configured)
2. Copy the selected area.
3. Paste the selected area directly in paint
4. Post the selected area on Facebook
5. Post the selected area on flicker
To find out more about
something you have read
while browsing text
documents / websites,
select the area with one
finger.
Touch with four fingers
on the screen.
A box will appear allowing you to:
1. Email selected text
2. Facebook selected text
3. Tweet Selected text
4. Wikipedia selected text
5. Google selected text
6. Google translate selected text
