* President Mode *
The four usual skill levels are CORPORAL, LIEUTENANT, CAPTAIN and MAJOR. The
PRESIDENT option adds a fifth choice. If you choose it, you get a slider to ad
just
the randomness. Use the left and right arrows to adjust it (doesn't respond so
metimes).
* Debug Mode *
You can display various debug information. You can also use it to cheat, by wa
lking
through walls, being invulnerable, and so on.
After beginning a new mission, press Tab-LeftShift-Ctrl to enable cheat mode.

The CD version will detect your tampering, and will set your score to zero,
buts lets you keep your modifications.

Introduction to Corridor 7
--------------------------
Similar idea to Wolfenstein-3D, however no treasure. Some of the weapons are qui
te
interesting. It will run under Windows 95. On a DOS pc, do not load INT13X.
The game suffers from numerous bugs (read the floor-by-floor information below),
and can crash while you walk through walls.
To select various options (sound devices etc), run the SETUP program.
Items to be found:
-----------------
Suit of armor: Helps make you somewhat less vulnerable.
Mines: Alien dies after passing over it.
Floor plan: You can see entire map of the floor.
Adrenaline boost: Makes you more robust for a while.
Invulnerability sphere: Makes you temporarily invulnerable.
M-343 minigun: Looks like a shark's head, but very effective.
Ammo pack: Ammo for M-343.
Alien gun: After killing a robot, collect this.
Alien charge pack: Extra ammo for alien gun.
Flamethrower: Throws a huge ball of blue flame.
Visor battery: New battery for visor.
Special cavities:

Ammo: For normal gun
First aid: Recharge your health (press Spacebar twice)
Health station: Big boost to health
Computer terminal: Some give you blue access card, some give red access
card, others complain of Intruder alert.
Secret walls: Same idea as Wolfenstein 3D. Rub against wall and
it might slide inwards, creating a new passage.
Most levels have a secret passage running right
around the outside. These have secret entrances to
various parts of the level.
Electrified doorway: Can be opened by standing in front and pressing space.
The Visor:
---------
Press V gives green visor, press V again for red visor, once more to turn it off
.
There is no apparent use for the green visor, but the red visor helps in 4 ways.
1. You can see invisible aliens
2. You can see the invisible wall-to-ceiling heat bars (they hurt)
3. You can see the circular heat devices (they also hurt)
4. You can see what kind of computer terminal you have before operating it.
The visor flattens the battery quickly, so use it briefly.
Object of the game:
------------------
I haven't seen the instructions, so this is guesswork. You must kill all
aliens, plus optionally find all secret walls. After this, go to the lift
and go to the next level. There are 30 basic levels plus one bonus level.
Beware of wire fences and doorways as they are electrified. Some passageways
cause damage but there is no way to tell beforehand. Blue doors require a
blue access card, while red doors need a red access card. Generally, the
terminal is just behind the door so you must somehow entice an alien to open
the door for you.
The ZIP file, EXPUNGE, contains the ending sequence that should have
been attached to the program.
Bonus level:
-----------
This is accessed by pressing a secret door to the left of the elevator while
on level 1. Make sure you have full ammo & health as you will need it.
Exit the elevator & close the door, then go alien hunting. Clear out each
quarter. If you shoot while in the elevator you will be quickly surrounded
and killed. Some aliens are invisible, but can be seen with visor set to
red. When you die, you go to level 2 whether you were finished or not.
There is no first aid or ammo.

The Map:
-------
The area you are in is shown in the map. If you find the Floor Plan, the
whole map becomes visible. If you are CORPORAL or LIEUTENANT, you start out
with the floor plan, therefore the map is fully illuminated at all times.
Secret areas are not shown. Some areas containing packing-cases are also
not shown.
------------------------------- PLAYING HINTS -------------------------------
Floor 1-4 were run with the CORPORAL player. The other floors used the
LIEUTENANT player.
Before leaving the lift, press TAB to turn on the map.
From level 13, there are invisible aliens. They can be seen by selecting
the red visor (press V twice). These aliens cannot open doors.
On level 5, and from level 10, you will encounter robots. These have massive
firepower, and you should have an adrenaline boost, invulnerability sphere or
an alien gun before trying to kill them. If you can kill one, get its alien
gun - these are more powerful than earth weapons.
Level 1 - solved
-------
Don't bump the wire fence, it is electrified. Stand in front of the fence
and press Space, this will deactivate it. If you are on a high level of
skill, you will see aliens in the control room. They will switch off the
electric field and so you can go in (or you can do it yourself). Otherwise,
go forward through the door, turn right, shoot at door. Turn around, go back
towards door and press secret door to get mines. You will see a suit of
armour on the other side but you can't get it. Walk to where you started the
level and go through back door, turn left and rub left side until secret door
is revealed. Now go back to blue door that you shot at and wait for alien
to open it. When he does, shoot him and walk through doorway, activate
terminal to get blue card. Now you can raid the rest of the level. When you
find the red door, rub the wall to the left of it to find a secret door which
reveals a terminal. This gives you the red access card. Inside the red
room is another secret door. The last secret door is the one to the bonus
level. Due to mapping bugs, there are 2 secret passages that you can't get
to. One has an inv. sphere, and the other leads to the suit of armour
behind the wire fence.
Level 2 - solved
-------
Walk around to the northern passage and stand outside a red door. Fire a
shot at the door and an alien will come out. Kill it immediately as well as
the alien that comes out of the other red door. Now you can enter and get
the red access card. Then consult the map and you will see one alien moving.
Move as quickly as possible to the blue door that leads to that alien. When
it opens the door, kill it then rush through the door and use the machine to
get a blue access card. This level has a secret outside passage. There are
secret doors at bottom right dead-end; midway on left from outside passage
(this gives a visor battery); plus the entrances from outside passage.
Level 3 - solved
-------
Head up, go to 2nd blue door, shoot, wait for alien, get blue card. Wait for
another alien to enter one of the 3 rooms going up. Shoot him as he comes
out. Go inside and get red card. Secret door to outside passage is midway
up left side (orange wall), at the end of the orange wall passage. Just before
the end is a blue door, go in here and find a secret passge leading to some
adrenaline. There is also another secret passage in the main orange corridor.
The map can be accessed from the outside passage.
Level 4 - solved
-------
There is a secret wall halfway down main passage. Run out of lift past alien
and enter this secret area (contains a health machine), and shoot alien that
follows you. Another alien will open a blue door and then come back out.
You must shoot him as he comes out. Go in and get blue card. Room at top
center has a red card amongst all the other terminals. Open electrified door,
kill aliens, get blue pass, go to outside passage.
Level 5 - solved

Open the electrified door and get the blue card.
Level 6 - solved

Open the electrified door and get the blue card.
Level 7 - solved

Secret door at top right just outside electric fence. Room at top left has
suit of armour. Floor plan is in left-side maze. Unable to enter room at
bottom left.
Level 8 - solved
-------
You must firstly entice an alien to enter the red room, then kill it as it
leaves. Go in and get blue card. Secret door at upper right in meal room.
Room at lower right has floor plan and visor battery.
Level 9 - solved
-------
Secret door to outside is in meal room which is just above the lift. Secret
door from outside on top row doesn't work because a flag is in the way.
Level 10 - solved

The first robot is standing at the bottom end of the main passage. You must
firstly open the secret passages, then get the robot's attention, then go to
the outside passage and let the robot wander about. When you are ready, get
the adrenaline boost, find & kill the robot, and grab its alien gun. When
you kill other large aliens, they might leave a charge pack for you. Secret
passage to outside is on corner of long thin passage. Secret door off main
passage near top right takes you to health machine and another wall then
taking you to adrenaline boost. In room on same passage, to the left, is
secret passage to floor plan. Inside outside passage is a weird blue wall
which is a secret door.
Level 11 - not solved
--------
There is a secret passage along bottom between two red/yellow posts. Use the
outside passage to get to each part of this level. Bottom right gives suit
of armour and floor plan. In room at bottom left, secret door gives 2
invulnerability spheres. Shortest of 3 passages from bottom has secret door
to 3 suits of armour. Central area is an empty room only accessible with a
red card. There is no red terminal. I haven't found how to get to alien
in lower maze.
Level 12 - solved
--------
Both cards are in room at bottom right. Secret door is in top corner of the
same room.
Level 13 - solved
--------
Room above lift area has both cards, visor battery and health machine.
Secret door is in room mid right side. Just under this, from outside
passage, is a secret door leading to adrenaline boost.
Level 14 - not solved
--------
No response.
Level 15 - solved
--------
Straight ahead to get M-343 and ammo pack. 2 rooms to left for inv. sphere,
next left has secret door to adrenaline boost. Behind adrenaline is secret
door to outside. There are 4 doorways back in, each has a inv. sphere in
front of door. The room just under the lift is packed with robots. There
are many inv. spheres scattered about.
Level 16 - solved
--------
Map is in hooked-shaped passage. Both cards are just outside the lift.
Secret door at centre right gives armor & inv. sphere. Behind lift is the
adrenaline boost more armor. Cannot get to outside areas.
Level 17 - solved
--------
Top right room has secret door to outside. Floor plan is in bottom right
room off east-west passage. Walk out of lift straight ahead to end of
passage, do not shoot until you get there.
Level 18 - solved
--------
Top left room has blue card & secret door to outside. Just outside is ammo
pack & M-343 gun. Halfway up right side is adrenaline boost & armor. Robot
is in top right room. Floor plan in centre room just above lift, robot in
large room on the left.
Level 19 - solved
--------
This is the last level to have access cards, ammo and first aid.
Blue card behind lift. Bottom left room has adrenaline boost, mid right room
has secret door to outside. From outside, top, there is a passage with
adrenaline. Room at top left has red card & visor battery. Cannot get to
suit of armor there, even though there is a secret door. Armor in small room
off outside, top centre. Just outside of secret door room (top right) is a
secret door to inv. sphere. Visor battery top left.
Level 20 - crashes game
--------
Floor plan in top right right room. Robot in bottom right room. Secret door
to outside from top left room. Turn left and a secret door leads to
adrenaline. A room at centre right has lots of alien charge packs. Room at
centre (off main square) has 4 alien charge packs. In room at bottom right
is a purple gorilla which has no sound assigned. When he wakes up the game
crashes.
Level 21 - solved

Robot is in the room with 2 doors near bottom left. Secret door in square
containing L-shaped room. In right-hand maze, top dead-end has armor &
adrenaline. Map is in bottom right room in left maze.
Level 22 - solved
--------
Behind lift, left turn is armor & alien charge pack & secret door, while turn
right gives adrenaline boost & secret door. Centre right, dead end has inv
sphere & secret door to outside. From outside, near bottom left, secret door
to armor. From outside, bottom centre, secret door to alien charge pack &
adrenaline.
Level 23 - solved
--------
Step out of lift, get adrenaline, secret door on your left, to outside, turn
right, right again, to get armor, alien charge packs, visor battery, map and
adrenaline boost.
Level 24 - solved
--------
Robot in top right room. Secret door opposite this room. Map is in room to
the left. Another robot in room at top, second from the left. Secret door
off second passageway on left, down.
Level 25 - solved
--------
At bottom centre is a passage with 4 health machines. From here a secret
door gives access to adrenaline, then another secret door to outside. From
outside passage top right is a secret door. Map is in tiny room just below
lift. There is a red centaur alien in room at bottom centre.
Level 26 - solved
--------
Secret door to outside is at bottom centre. From left passage, top room is
a secret door.
Level 27 - solved
--------
Turn left out of lift for armor, or right for armor & secret door to outside.
From outside, packing boxes lead to armor. Secret door from outside doesn't
work. Centre room has health machine. Room just below has mines. Robot is
in the key-shaped room at bottom left. Map is in top left room (dead end).
Internal packing-box area has at least 3 secret doors, 2 adrenaline boosts,
and you can get to outside packing-boxes.
Level 28 - solved
--------
Secret door is about half-way down left passage. Armor at end of left
passage. There are 4 robots. After killing robot in top centre room,
there are 2 secret doors in the area. Map is in top left room. Secret door
to outside is at bottom right.
Level 29 - solved

Floor plan is in top right room.
Level 30 - solved
--------
Go to left centre passage. Turn right, kill 4 invisible aliens, and get
health/armor/ammo as needed. Now go down and entice each of the 3 robots out
and kill them. Then entice the floating red skull and kill it. Then the
same to the remaining 2 robots. Lastly open door and shoot the floating
sphere to win the game. When it dies, the game firstly asks you to enter
your name for high score, then says 'GET READY' and exits without saving
your score.
