A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in the respective field from a recognized University with at least five (5) years of
teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or
comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must possess evidence of scholarly
publications in reputable journals and ability to supervise post-graduate students
including doctorate students in areas of expertise. Candidate must have been a Lecturer I
for a minimum of three years

Areas of Specialisation Theatre Arts: Arts of the Theatre, Technical Theatre, Theatre
Management and Administration, Media Arts, Dramatic Literature and Criticism, Dance
and Choreography.

Areas of Specialisation for Visual Arts: Candidate must show a strong commitment to
studio art production in ceramics, sculpture or graphics.

Areas of Specialisation for Music : Composition,Theory,
Musicology,Performance,Music Psychology.


(ii) Lecturer I (Theatre Arts, Music)
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in the respective field from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of
teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or
comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must also have ability to teach
courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.
Candidate must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with
evidence of practical skills and competence. Evidence of scholarly publications in
reputable journals is also required in addition to ability to supervise post-graduate
students in areas of expertise. Candidate must have been a Lecturer II for a minimum of
three years.

A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in Russian Language or Russian Literature with not less than ten (10) years of
teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or
comparable institution of higher learning. A strong proof of continuing research with
appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals published both
locally and internationally is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-
graduate students including doctorate students in areas of expertise. A candidate must
also have sufficient administrative experience and must have been an Associate
Professor for a minimum of three (3) years. He/She must have ability to provide
academic leadership. Candidates who have been Senior Lecturers for a minimum of six
(6) years may be considered for appointment.

Areas of Specialisation: Russian Phonetics/Phonology, Sociolinguistics, Discourse
Analysis, Russian/African Poetry, Literary Theory and Dramatic Literature in Russian,
Novel.

(ii) Professor (French Literature)
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in French Literature with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research
experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of
higher learning. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of
scholarly publications in reputable journals published both locally and internationally is
required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate students including
doctorate students in areas of expertise. A candidate must also have sufficient
administrative experience and must have been an Associate Professor for a minimum of
three (3) years. He/She must have ability to provide academic leadership. Candidates
who have been Senior Lecturers for a minimum of six (6) years may be considered for
appointment.

Areas of Specialisation: Specialisation in 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries French
Literature, French/African Poetry, Literary Theory and Dramatic Literature in French,
Novel.

(iii) Senior Lecturer (French Language, French Literature)
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in French Language or French Literature from a recognized University with at
least Five (5) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a
University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must have evidence of
scholarly publications in reputable journals and ability to supervise post-graduate
students including doctorate students in areas of expertise. Candidate must have been a
Lecturer I for a minimum of three (3) years.

Areas of Specialisation for French Language: French Phonetics/Phonology,
Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Syntax.

Areas of Specialisation for French Literature: French Poetry, Literary Theory and
Dramatic Literature in French ,Novel.


(iv) Lecturer I (French Language, French Literature)
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in French Language or French Literature from a recognised University. Evidence
of scholarly publications will be an added advantage.

degree in History from any recognised University and must have registered for the Ph.D.

(v) Assistant Lecturer (Linguistics/Yoruba, Linguistics/Chinese)
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and masters degree
in the respective field from a recognized University. Candidate must also have registered

Accounting with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience since
becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. A
strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in
reputable journals published both locally and internationally is required in addition to
evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate students including doctorate students in
areas of expertise. A candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience and
must have been an Associate Professor for a minimum of three years. Candidates who
have been Senior Lecturers for a minimum of six (6) years may be considered for
appointment. Membership of a recognised Professional Accounting body will be an
added advantage.

Areas of Specialisation: Management Accounting and Controls, Financial Accounting
and Reporting, Taxation, Auditing and Investigation, Public Sector Accounting and
Governance, Forensic Accounting.

(ii) Associate Professor
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree
in Accounting from a recognized University with not less than eight (8) years of teaching
and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable
institution of higher learning. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable
evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals published both locally and
internationally is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate
students including doctorate students in areas of expertise. Candidate must also have
sufficient administrative experience and must have been a Senior Lecturer for a
minimum of three years.. Membership of a recognised professional accounting body
will be an added advantage.

(iii) Senior Lecturer
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree
in Accounting from a recognized University, with at least five (5) years of teaching and
research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable
institution of higher learning. Candidate must possess evidence of scholarly publications
in reputable journals and ability to supervise post-graduate students including doctorate

students in areas of expertise. Candidate must have been a Lecturer I for a minimum of
three years. Membership of a recognized professional Accounting body will be an added
advantage.

(iv) Lecturer I
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree
in Accounting from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and
research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable
institution of higher learning. Candidate must also have the ability to teach courses at the
undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence. Evidence of
scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required in addition to ability to
supervise post-graduate students in areas of expertise. Candidate must have been a
Lecturer II for a minimum of three years. Membership of a recognized professional
accounting body will be an added advantage.


(v) Lecturer II
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree
in Accounting from a recognized University. He/she must also have the ability to teach
courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.
Evidence of publication in reputable learned journals will be an advantage. Membership
of a recognized Professional accounting body will also be an added advantage.


(vi) Assistant Lecturer
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and masters degree
in Accounting from a recognized University. Candidate must also have registered for the
Ph.D. programme. Membership of a recognized Professional Accounting body will be an
added advantage.

Actuarial Science Unit
(i) Senior Lecturer
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in Actuarial Science or related areas: Actuarial and Risk Modeling, Valuation,
Pensions, Life and Health Insurance, Enterprise Risk Management and Actuarial Statistic
and Mortality from a recognized University with at least five (5) years of teaching and
research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable
institution of higher learning. Candidate must possess evidence of scholarly publications
in reputable journals and ability to supervise post- graduate students including doctorate
students in areas of expertise. Candidate must have been a Lecturer I for a minimum of
three years. Professional qualification in Actuarial Science recognized by IAA will be an
added advantage.


(ii) Lecturer I
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in Actuarial Science or related areas from a recognized University with at least
four (4) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a
University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must also have

ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and
competence. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required in
addition to ability to supervise post-graduate students in areas of expertise. Candidate
must have been a Lecturer II for a minimum of three (3) years. Professional qualification
in Actuarial Science recognized by IAA will be an added advantage.


(iii) Lecturer II
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate
degree in Actuarial Science or related areas from a recognized University. Candidate
must also have ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of
practical skills and competence. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals
will be an advantage. Professional qualification in Actuarial Science recognized by IAA
will be an added advantage.


Insurance Unit
(i) Professor
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in
Insurance/Risk Management or related areas. Candidate must have at least ten (10) years
of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or
comparable institution of higher learning. A strong proof of continuing research with
appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals published both
locally and internationally is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post
graduate students including doctorate students in areas of expertise. A candidate must
also have sufficient administrative experience and must have been an Associate Professor
