FEATURES
The Model 1135F Fi el d-Mounted P/I Conver ter,
together wi th the Model 1133 rack-mounted versi on,
bri ng unsurpassed per formance and versati l i ty to
the pressure-to-current converter market. Thi s
i nstrument operates on the same vari abl e
capaci tance sensi ng techni que that has made the
Rosemount pressure transmi tter the most widel y
accepted el ectroni c pressure transmi tter i n the worl d
today.
Desi gned for fi el d instal l ati on, the Model 1135F
converts i ncomi ng pneumati c si gnal s i nto an
el ectroni c 420 mA output si gnal . I t i s i deal for
pl ants that are converti ng from pneumati c to
el ectroni c control . I t is al so an excel l ent choi ce for
use in el ectroni c pl ants that moni tor l ocal pneumati c
control l oops i n safety-rel ated areas.
The dual -compartment housi ng desi gn of the
converter permi ts the el ectroni cs and pressure
sensor to be envi ronmental l y i sol ated fr om the fi el d
wi ri ng termi nals, thus increasi ng rel i abi l i ty. A si ngl e
pl ug-i n ampl i fi er board i s readi l y accessi bl e and
easi l y r emoved for repl acement or troubl eshooti ng.
To meet hazardous l ocati on certi fi cati ons, the
el ectroni cs compartment i s desi gned wi th fl ame
arresters l ocated between the internal compartment
and the external por ts l eading to the outsi de
atmosphere.
The range of the Model 1135F i s conti nuousl y
adjustabl e fr om 012 to 030 psi g (083 to 0207
kPa). The orderi ng i nformati on l i sts fi ve factor y
cal i brated ranges, but the conver ter may be factor y
cal i brated to any custom range wi thi n i ts operati ng
l i mi ts. Vari ous materi al and certi fi cati on opti ons are
avai l abl e, i ncl udi ng a di r ect-readi ng output si gnal
meter.
The Model 1135F pressure-to-current conver ter
combi nes proven desi gn, superi or per formance, and
mai ntenance si mpl i ci ty to make i t the fi nest P/I
converter on the mar ket.
OPERATION
I nstrument ai r i s appl i ed to an i sol ati ng
di aphragm on one side of the patented d-Cell

sensor.
An oi l -fi l l fl uid transmi ts the appl i ed pressure to one
side of the sensi ng di aphr agm i n the center of the
d-Cel l sensor. I n a l i ke manner, an atmospheri c
r eference pressure i s transmi tted to the other si de
of the sensi ng di aphragm. The displ acement of the
sensi ng diaphr agm, movi ng a maxi mum of 0.004 i n.
(0.10 mm), is proporti onal to the pressure
di fferenti al across i t. Fi xed capaci tor pl ates on both
sides of the sensi ng di aphr agm conti nuousl y detect
the posi ti on of the sensi ng diaphragm. The
di fferenti al capaci tance between the sensi ng
di aphragm and the capaci tor pl ates i s converted
el ectroni cal l y to a 2-wi re, 420 mA dc si gnal .
