Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for filling up of 16 posts of Senior Technical
Officers, 2 posts of Technical Assistants, 2 posts of Assistant Administrative Officers, 6 posts of
Stenographers Grade-III and 1 post of Lower Divisional Clerk at NIASM, Baramati, Pune, Maharashtra.

The earlier advertisements as published vide NIAM Advt. No. 01/11 in Employment News (22-
28 January, 2011), Advt. No. 04/NIASM/Rectt-2013-14 in Employment News (27 July 2 August,
2013), Advt. No. 2/NIASM/Rectt.-2013-14 in Employment News (9-15 March, 2013), Advt. No.
1/NIASM/Rectt.-2013-14 in Employment News (16-22 Feb., 2013), Advt. No. 7/11 in Employment
News dated 4.8.2011 and Advt. No. 3/NIASM/Rectt.-2013-14 in Employment News (1-7 June, 2013)
stand cancelled and the candidates are required to apply afresh.

Senior Technical Officer: 18 to 35 years. No age limit for ICAR employees.

*The upper age is relaxable up to 45 years in the case of serving regular employees of
ICAR in the administrative (ministerial) category.

For the posts of Senior Technical Officer, and Technical Assistant: The age relaxation
in the upper age limit for RAs/SRFs only who have been engaged on contractual basis
by different projects of ICAR Institutes without break for not less than 6 months as on
date be considered for qualifications by granting them appropriate relaxation in
upper age limit to the extent of their spell they were actually engaged as RAs/SRFs
fulfilling conditions as mentioned in ICAR order no. 19(25) 2011 E.IV; dated
12.12.2011 and followed by council order no. 19(25) 2011-Estt.IV; dated 24.1.2012
(to a maximum limit of 16 years 3 months). Inordinate spells of break (above 6
months) will be treated as break in continuous engagement and age relaxation will
not be available. This dispensation is only for relaxing the maximum age limit and
does not imply any other relaxation whatsoever regarding essential qualifications /
experience etc.

General Instructions for candidates:
1. Upper age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST in respect of posts reserved for SC/ST, 3
years for OBC in respect of posts reserved for OBC and 10 years for PH candidates (15
years for SC/STs and 13 years for OBCs in PH) is admissible as per rules.
2. Crucial date of determining the age limit of candidates for each post will be as on normal
closing date of receiving the applications i.e. 11.8.2014.
3. Persons already in employment should route their applications through proper channel
only. In case a candidate anticipates delay in forwarding of his / her application through
proper channel, he / she must send an advance copy of the application along with fee
which must reach this office on or before the closing date.
4. The prescribed qualifications are the minimum required for the post and enhanced
qualifications does not entitle candidates to be called for written test / interview. Where
the number of applications received in response to advertisement is large and it will not
be convenient OR possible for the Institute to call for written test/interview to all
candidates, Director, NIASM reserves right to fix the criteria for calling the candidates for
written test/interview on the basis of qualification.
5. Applications should be submitted in the prescribed Proforma strictly typed / hand
written. Complete present and permanent address with Pin Code number should be
mentioned clearly in the application proforma otherwise application found with
incomplete address/wrong address will be summarily rejected. Candidates before
applying for the post(s) must satisfy that they are eligible to apply and fulfil the criteria /
essential qualification / age etc. prescribed for the post(s). ATTESTED COPIES OF THE
RELEVANT DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION such as
Educational qualification / Age Certificate / Caste Certificates etc. If any information is
found false at any stage, his/her candidature for appointment will stand cancelled.
6. Application form must accompany with a (NON REFUNDABLE) Bank Draft of Rs.500/- for
the posts of Senior Technical Officer and Assistant Administrative Officer and Rs.300 for
other posts (SC/ST/Women and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted) drawn
in favour of Director, NIASM payable at Baramati failing which the application will be
rejected. No other means of payment i.e. IPO/ money orders will be accepted. The date
of bank draft should not be prior to the date of issue of the advertisement in the
Employment News and the same should be valid for a period of three months.
Candidates must write their name and address on the back side of the Bank Draft. The

7. No TA will be paid for appearing in written examination. However, un-employed SC/ST
candidates called for interview will only be paid IInd Class Train / Bus fare by the shortest
route on production of fare tickets.

8. Separate applications and fee should be submitted for each post. Name of the
post/functional group and Sr. No. of the post for which applied must be clearly
indicated on the envelope along with senders name and address in capital letters as

9. Closing date for receipt of applications is 11.08.2014. The last date will be 26.08.2014 for
applicants residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur,
Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi sub-
division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands,
Lakshdweep or abroad.
10. Institute will not be responsible for any postal delay. Applications received after expiry
of the last date will not be considered.
11. The candidate should submit a declaration stating whether he/she is related to any
employee of NIASM/ICAR and if so write the name, designation, address and the nature
of his/her relationship against Sr. No 13 in application form.
12. The candidates, who will qualify the written examination for the posts of Senior Technical
Officer, Technical Assistant and Assistant Administrative Officer and found eligible after
examination of their applications will be called for Interview. In respect of posts of Lower
Division Clerk and Stenographer Grade III, the candidates will have to pass skill test also
to be eligible for interview.
13. In case any candidate influences the recruitment process, his/ her candidature will be
summarily rejected.
14. These posts are non-government under I.C.A.R. but pensionable under New Pension
Scheme introduced by Govt. of India w.e.f. 01.01.2004 and service conditions are mutatis
mutandis as applicable to I.C.A.R. employees and as amended from time to time.
15. All posts are temporary but are likely to continue and transferable to anywhere in India.
16. The recruitment process will be subject to the jurisdiction of High Court, Mumbai.
17. The Director, NIASM, Baramati reserves the right to cancel the recruitment to any post(s)
without assigning any reason thereof.
18. This notification and its subsequent changes/announcement if any to this effect will be
available on the NIASM website www.niam.res.in only. Candidates are strongly advised
