NARRATIVE REPORT
Knowing ones right give us the beneft of being protected all time. Thus, the
seminar focused on alleviating the plight of most vulnerable member of the society-
the youth with the theme: E!"#E$%&' T(E )"*T( T($"*'( (*+& $%'(T,
E-*.+T%"&. The seminar started at e/actly one ocloc0 in the afternoon on
-ecember 12, 3214 where all (omeroom "5cers of the di6erent year levels
paraded toward the Tayug &ational (igh ,chool grandstand as the venue for the
said event. The .ampus %ntegrity .rusaders "5cers anchored the event well. They
were assisted by ,upreme ,tudent 'overnment being the mother of all
organi7ations at the school level. The participants registered and were arranged
according to the year level they belong. +fter settling down, the event was formally
opened through an unfree7ing activity given by .%. o5cers to brea0 the monotony.
The participants were participative and enthusiastic as the hosts started
announcing what to e/pect during the said seminar. #ith the unfolding of such
activity, the .%. 8ice-!resident led the singing of !ilipinas Kong ahal as well as the
do/ology. The .%. !resident, Eulyssa 9an .. 9imene7 gave her welcome address
among the participants and an inspirational message was delivered by ,upreme
,tudent 'overnment !resident, 9oshua .arlo .. acaraeg.
The seminar when it was fnally opened, the lecture of s. .heryl :. +llas,
'uidance .ounsellor %%% of Tayug &ational (igh ,chool tac0led on the -epartment of
Education .hild !rotection !olicies. ,he discussed the salient points of students
prohibited acts at school level as well as the remedies to be underta0en if such act
was committed. ,he gave the participants a clear and une;uivocal understanding
on the issue at hand. any were surprise upon learning the full implementation of
such program under the -epartment of Education.
+nother topic highlighted the event on students right was given by r. 'reg
,. ingua, the ,upreme ,tudent 'overnment and .%. adviser. (e delved on the
constitutional basis of human rights, as well as the international rights of children to
name a few. The seminar also mimics an approach were moral reformation among
students is needed in todays time. The legal process and understanding brought by
very dynamic trend of communication clearly emphasi7ed the importance of
communication instead of pushing rebellion with one or among perpetrators and
victims of such laws. uch to desire of .%. "5cers indulgence, the .%. as0 the
student-participants to echo the learning they have ac;uired through the said
seminar at their classroom level with which positive response and overwhelming
approval gave contentment among the organi7ers.
The seminar ended with the closing remar0s given by the .%. 8ice-!resident
9eah ,hanne <arroga with feeling of contentment and appreciation among the
participants and lecturers.
