uTorrent was very slow for me until recently I applied a few tweaks. Heres what I did.
Note: Some of the settings mentioned elow are optimi!ed for "#$k connection. If you want to calculate
the optimal settings for your connection% check at the end of this tutorial. &ut I suggest you to read the
entire tutorial for guidance on other settings.
First go to 'ptions()references(Network
*. +nder ,)ort used for incomming connections% enter any port numer. It is est to use a port numer
aove *----. I use .#$/".
". 0andomi!e port each time utorrent starts: +N1H21324. I leave this unchecked ecause I have a
router. If you do not have a router or a firewall% and want e5tra security%check this option.
6. 2nale +)n) port mapping 78indows 9p or later only:: +N1H21324. I leave this unchecked ecause I
have e5perienced it slowing down speeds. It is not needed if you manually port forward.

speeds.

username and password are admin for my router

How to calculate optimal settings for your connection
In order to apply the following tips you need to know your ma5imum upload and download speeds. Iou
can test your andwidth over here.

If you use your =a5imum upload speed% there wont e not enough space left for the files you are
downloading. So you have to cap your upload speed.
This is how I calculate my optimal upload speedP

Setting your ma5imum download speed to unlimited will hurt your connection. So use this to calculate
your optimal setting.
