Summer is officially here on July 21, which means Family gatherings, holidays, and no
school, time away visiting someone we love and hopefully lots of rest and relaxation. As we
enter into the Churchs calendar year of ordinary times let us be mindful of the gifts which
God has planted in us at Christmas, through out lent and Easter Tridium and let these seeds
of faith and commitment grow in us so that He might reap a harvest of faithful Sir Knights
ready to love and serve our Lord Jesus Christ in whatever capacity he so desires of us. May
we always be ready to give a defence of the hope we have and be a witness of the Saving
power of Christ in our lives to those we encounter.
Summer is also a time for our New executives to plan and look forward to the coming
year, to help and guide us to becoming stronger in our resolve as Sir Knights, to foster unity,
charity in our relationship to one another, to our families and to our Church. Let us pray for
our elected officers that they may be filled with the Holy Spirit, led by the Spirit so that we
may be one in this great work which we are proud to be called Knights of Columbus.

May God Bless all of us in this new Columbian Year!

FAITHFUL FRIARS MESSAGE:

BROTHER KNIGHTS;

Summer has arrived and we are enjoying its warm sunny days. It is a time for more
relaxation and more time of leisure. Might I suggest that each one of you do a check-
up on your spiritual life?

Check in and become more aware of God's love for you in the many blessings,
graces and opportunities sent your way each day. Is your response to this love
evident to God and others?
Do we serve and reach out to others always in the spirit of concern and love,
prompted by the love of the Holy Spirit? Only in that spirit do we carry out God's will in
our life.

Remember that "God is love and he who abides in love, abides in God, and God in
him".

Thank you to the outgoing executive for a job well done and congratulations to all
who have accepted a new role in your involvement in the works of the Knights of
Columbus.

Enjoy your service in God's work and always be grateful.

FAITHFUL NAVIGATORS MESSAGE:

Dear Sir Knights:

Thank you for putting your confidence in electing me as the faithful navigator
for the Darcy McGee assembly for the upcoming year.

Our June 17th installation with the other two (2) assemblies was a successful
event with over 60 people coming out. Thank you to all who came to show your
support and special thanks to Master Raymond Gehlen and Leonard Novecosky for
coming from Humboldt to do the installation.

A meeting with Master Raymond Gehlen will be held later this summer with
myself and the other faithful navigators to plan and organize functions that
all three (3) assemblies can participate together.

I hope everyone enjoys the summer and if leaving the city may you have safe
trips wherever you go.
