PATROL/DETECTIVES

This week detectives and patrol staff
investigated a burglary at the Northwoods
Credit Union Arena. Shortly after midnight
on July 5, 2014 and unidentified male forced
his way into the Northwoods Credit Union
Arena. While inside, the suspect broke into
an ATM machine and left with an
undisclosed amount of cash. Surveillance
footage captured photos of the unidentified
male. As Cloquet detectives worked the
investigation, they posted suspect photos
and information online on our social media
sites. It wasn't long and the department
started receiving tips from our law
enforcement partners and the public,
ultimately resulting in the arrest of a 32-
year-old Grand Rapids, MN man who was
formally charged with Burglary in the
Second Degree, Felony Theft, Criminal
Damage to Property and Possession of
Burglary/Theft Tools. The suspect is
currently being held at the Carlton County
Law Enforcement Center.
