STATEMENTOFPROBABLECAUSE

Complainant has investigated the facts and circumstances of this offense and believes the following
establishes probable cause:
On July 5, 2014 at approximately 4:59 a.m., Minneapolis Police Officers were dispatched to 2617 3rd
Street North, Minneapolis, Hennepin County on the report of a shooting. Upon arriving at that location,
police observed two females lying in the front yard.

One female victim, later identified as Francesca Marie Desandre, dob 1/13/1990, was face down near the
front steps of the address. Ms. Desandre was motionless and did not appear to be breathing. Blood was
pooled beneath her body. Officers tried unsuccessfully to find a pulse. Ms. Desandre was later pronounced
dead by medical personnel who arrived at the scene a short time later. An autopsy was performed by a
Hennepin County Medical Examiner on July 6, 2014. It was determined that Ms. Desandre died as a result
of gunshot wounds.

A second female victim, identified as V.G., dob 3/17/1989, was lying on her back on the west side of the
sidewalk northeast of 2617 3rd Street North. V.G.s breathing was labored. Her eyes were open, but she
was unresponsive. An emergency medical squad arrived at the scene and transported V.G. to North
Memorial Medical Center by ambulance. Medical doctors there performed emergency surgery to repair
extensive internal damage caused by a bullet that traversed V.G.s abdomen. V.G. is recovering from her
injuries and is expected to survive.

Minneapolis police investigators interviewed V.G. in addition to several witnesses determined to be at the
scene prior to, or at the time of, the shooting. Police learned that earlier in the evening, Ms. Desandre
hosted a Fourth of July party at her home at 2617 3rd Street North. A person known to others at the party
as Butter Rolland later identified as Defendant, MARCO ANTHONY GRESHAM, was present at that
party. Later in the evening, Ms. Desandre and V.G. frequented several bars/clubs in downtown
Minneapolis. They were accompanied by several other friends from the party. Sometime after bar closing,
the Defendant drove the group back to Ms. Desandres home in his car, described as a dark green, four-
door sedan.

After arriving back at the home, the Defendant eventually confronted V.G.. Ms. Desandre was standing
outside next to V.G. at the time. Defendant asked V.G. about her knowledge of Defendants alleged
involvement in a homicide that took place in January, 2014 at a party in St. Paul. V.G. denied being
present or having any knowledge. The Defendant displayed a handgun and pointed it at V.G.. V.G.
attempted to push the gun away, but the Defendant pulled V.G. close to him and fired one bullet into V.G.s
abdomen. V.G. fell to the ground. Ms. Desandre began to run toward the house. Several other shots were
fired toward her in rapid succession. Ms. Desandre collapsed near the front steps of her home.

A neighbor looked outside his window after hearing the gunshots. He observed several males run from the
yard of 2617 3rd Street North yard and enter a small green four-door car that was parked northbound on
the street. The car then drove away from the scene. He observed two females lying in the yard and called
911.

Minneapolis Police and Crime Lab personnel processed the crime scene for evidence. They recovered
seven 9 mm discharged cartridge casings near cars parked in the street to the east of the address. The
casings were determined to come from the same firearm. Two spent bullets were recovered from the front
yard area of 2617 3rd Street North. Divot strikes in the dirt and possible bullet strikes on the homes
exterior brick were also observed.

The Defendant was arrested in his mothers home in Minneapolis on July 8, 2014. Officers recovered a
dark green, four-door Mitsubishi Mirage in the driveway. The Defendant is presently in custody.
