Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific
Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al-Arab (The Arabs' (of
old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries:
I give full permission to my Muslim brothers and sisters to distribute this article. Read
disclaimer.

This is a picture of all of my Arabic dictionaries that I've used and will be using for this project,
insha'Allah (if Allah Almighty is Willing). Very soon, insha'Allah, I will capture all of the
quotes that I
copied, and post them in this article to leave no doubt to the reader about what you see below
from Arabic and translations is true and authentic. The dictionaries are:

1- Lisan Al-Arab ‫( اﻟﻌ ﺮب ﻟﺴ ﺎن‬the Arabs' of Old Tongue) - Ten books.

2- Al-Muajam Al-Waseet (‫ﻴﻂ اﻟﻤﻌﺠ ﻢ‬ ‫ )اﻟﻮﺳ‬- One book.

3- Al-Qamoos Al-Muheet (‫ )اﻟﻤﺤﻴ ﻂ اﻟﻘ ﺎﻣﻮس‬- One book.

4- Al-Mufradaat Fi Ghareeb Al-Quran (‫ )اﻟﻘ ﺮﺁن ﻏﺮﻳ ﺐ ﻓ ﻲ اﻟﻤﻔ ﺮدات‬- One book that I just
purchased and haven't used yet.

5- Arabic-English dictionary the Hans Wehr dictionary - One book.

6- Al-Mawrid (Arabic-English, English-Arabic) - One book.

7- Al-Sihaah (‫ )اﻟﺼﱢﺤﺎح‬- Seven books that I just purchased and haven't used yet.

8- Al-Mukhassas (‫ﺺ‬
ْ ‫ﺼ‬
‫ﺨ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ )اﻟ ُﻤ‬- Eight books that I just purchased and haven't used yet.

For the ones I have already used I have quoted them precisely and verbatim, below, to
demonstrate how
the Arabs of Old, before Islam and during the days of Islam, understood the Key Holy Words
that are
analyzed in great details below, and how these Words meant to them in their poetries,
sayings,
and interpretations of the Holy Quran and the Hadiths.

The sections of this article are:

1- The explosion of the Universe and Galaxies bring about Smoke.

2- The moon's S-shaped orbit, reflection of light, and the curvy orbits of the celestial bodies.

3- Geology of the Earth, its Shape, its Movement in Space, its Atmosphere, and the Formation
of Rain.

4- Embryology of animals and humans. You'll be amazed at what I've found!

5- Numerical Miracles in the Holy Quran.

6- So why didn't the early Muslims interpret the Holy Quran with these meanings then?? (Hint:
Were the illiterate Bedouins Scientists?)

7- Bibliography.

8- Disclaimer.
Important Note:
It is very important to remember that Allah Almighty's choice of the Holy Words below was
for a Divine Purpose and not just by chance. There were many other choices of words that
Allah Almighty could've chosen, but He Chose the ones below because they carried far deeper
meanings in them that only Science today was able to unveil and confirm. These Holy Words
were used by Allah Almighty to describe how He, the Almighty, Created the Universe and many
of the creations in it. The Holy Words are in perfect harmony with Science and with the way the
Universe was truly created by Allah Almighty.

The Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions. These are statements of Allah
Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe. What's most amazing
is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement
with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries. Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran
be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for
Prophethood. The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims,
Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today
with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man
1,500 years ago.

Allah Almighty Said: "We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their
selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards
your Lord that He is a witness over all things? (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"

Note: When the Arabic word's meaning is listed only in English without Arabic and
transliteration, then the word was taken from the Arabic-English dictionaries of Al-Mawrid [4]
and Cowan [5].

1- The explosion of the Universe and

Galaxies brings about Smoke:
Noble Verse(s) 51:6-51:8

No, these filaments are on larger scales than that. As the denser parts of the Universe collapse,
filaments are formed quite naturally, leading to a 'cosmic web' sort of structure.

Here's a picture of it from a simulation of dark matter:

"Probing The Cosmic Web Of The Universe: New Light On Dark Energy

ScienceDaily (Jan. 30, 2008) — Astronomers have used ESO's Very Large Telescope to measure
the distribution and motions of thousands of galaxies in the distant Universe. This opens
fascinating perspectives to better understand what drives the acceleration of the cosmic
expansion and sheds new light on the mysterious dark energy that is thought to permeate the
Universe.

.......

The technique is based on a well-known phenomenon, namely the fact that the apparent motion
of distant galaxies results from two effects: the global expansion of the Universe that pushes the
galaxies away from each other and the gravitational attraction of matter present in the galaxies'
neighbourhood that pulls them together, creating the cosmic web of large-scale structures."

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 44:9-44:11
Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[044:009] Yet, (immersed) in doubt, they waste their time in pastimes.

[044:010] Watch out for the day when the sky would emit (vast volumes of) visible smoke!

[044:011] It would enshroud people. That is a painful punishment.

Transliteration:

[044:009] Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona

[044:010] Fairtaqib yawma ta/tee alssamao bidukhanin mubeenin

[044:011] Yaghsha alnnasa hatha AAathabun aleemun

Arabic (from right to left):

44:9 ‫ﺑ ﻞ ه ﻢ ﻓ ﻲ ﺷ ﻚ ﻳﻠﻌﺒ ﻮن‬

44:10 ‫ﺐ‬ ‫ﻣﺒﻴ ﻦ ﺑ ﺪﺧﺎن اﻟﺴ ﻤﺎء ﺗ ﺎﺗﻲ ﻳ ﻮم ﻓﺎرﺗﻘ‬

44:11 ‫ﻳﻐﺸ ﻰ اﻟﻨ ﺎس ه ﺬا ﻋ ﺬاب اﻟﻴ ﻢ‬

So the explosion of the Galaxies and the Universe will produce an awesome amount of
smoke, which is scientifically true as we saw in the previous pictures (above), and also as we
see in the next pictures (below).

Furthermore, we read:

Noble Verse(s) 55:36-55:38

Khalifa: (why is he here?)

[055:036] Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

[055:037] When the sky disintegrates, and turns rose colored like paint.

[055:038] Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

Transliteration:

[055:036] Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththibani

[055:037] Fa-itha inshaqqati alssamao fakanat wardatan kaalddihani

[055:038] Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththibani

Arabic (from right to left):

55:36 ‫ﺬﺑﺎن‬ ‫ﻓﺒ ﺎي اﻻء رﺑﻜﻤ ﺎ ﺗﻜ‬

55:37 ‫ﻘﺖ ﻓ ﺎذا‬ ‫آﺎﻟ ﺪهﺎن وردة ﻓﻜﺎﻧ ﺖ اﻟﺴ ﻤﺎء اﻧﺸ‬

55:38 ‫ﺬﺑﺎن‬ ‫ﻓﺒ ﺎي اﻻء رﺑﻜﻤ ﺎ ﺗﻜ‬

Now obviously, a natural rose wouldn't form when a "Heaven" or a "Galaxie" explodes. It is
rather the look of it, and this is exactly what NASA confirms:

Natural Roses:

The Rosy Explosions of Galaxies:

Allah Almighty further said:

Noble Verse(s) 69:16

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[069:016] Feeble and frail, on that day the sky shall burst asunder.

Transliteration:

[069:016] Wainshaqqati alssamao fahiya yawma-ithin wahiyatun

Arabic (from right to left):

69:16 ‫اهﻴ ﺔواﻧﺸ ﻘﺖ اﻟﺴ ﻤﺎء ﻓﻬ ﻲ ﻳﻮﻣﺌ ﺬ و‬

The Noble Quran, again, in this Noble Verse and in many other Noble Verses, predicts the
explosion of the Galaxies of the Universe.

Noble Verse(s) 41:10-41:12

Yusuf Ali:

[041:010] He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings
on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four
Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).

[041:011] Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He
said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come
(together), in willing obedience."

[041:012] So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He

assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with
lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of
Knowledge.

As Allah Almighty was creating the earth and the Universe, the Heaven was still a hot smoke.
The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one
point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of ‘smoke’. This is one of the
undisputed principles of standard modern cosmology. Scientists now can observe new stars
forming out of the remnants of that ‘smoke’:

Figure 10: A new star forming out of a cloud of

gas and dust (nebula), which is one of the
remnants of the ‘smoke’ that was the origin of the
whole universe. (The Space Atlas, Heather and
Henbest, p. 50.)
Figure 11: The Lagoon nebula is a cloud of gas and
dust, about 60 light years in diameter. It is excited by
the ultraviolet radiation of the hot stars that have
recently formed within its bulk. (Horizons, Exploring
the Universe, Seeds, plate 9, from Association of
Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc.)

The following reference from Wikipedia was sent to me by brother Mahir Karaosmanovic; may
Allah Almighty always be pleased with him:

The site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Earth

The location: "Future"

Future
See also: Risks to civilization, humans and planet Earth

The future of the planet is closely tied to that of the Sun. As a result of the steady accumulation
of helium ash at the Sun's core, the star's total luminosity will slowly increase. The luminosity of
the Sun will increase by 10 percent over the next 1.1 billion years (1.1 Gyr), and by 40% over the
next 3.5 Gyr.[118] Climate models indicate that the rise in radiation reaching the Earth is
likely to have dire consequences, including the possible loss of the planet's oceans.[119]
The Earth's increasing surface temperature will accelerate the inorganic CO2 cycle, reducing its
concentration to the lethal levels for plants (10 ppm for C4 photosynthesis) in 900 million years.
But even if the Sun were eternal and stable, the continued internal cooling of the Earth would
have resulted in a loss of much of its atmosphere and oceans (due to lower volcanism).[120]
After another billion years the surface water will have completely disappeared.[121]
The Sun, as part of its solar lifespan, will expand to a red giant in about 5 Gyr. Models predict
that the Sun will expand out to about 99% of the distance to the Earth's present orbit (1
astronomical unit, or AU). However, by that time, the orbit of the Earth may have expanded to
about 1.7 AUs because of the diminished mass of the Sun. The planet might thus escape
envelopment by the expanded Sun's sparse outer atmosphere, though most (if not all) existing
life will have been destroyed by the Sun's proximity to the Earth.[118]
What happends when all oceans disappear? The herbage and growth will not get any rain on it because of the rain cycle being stoped when no
water exists on earth to "Send back" water as Allah allmighty explains in several verses!

Article #2:
"Life cycle

Main articles: Formation and evolution of the solar system and Stellar evolution
The Sun's current main sequence age, determined using computer models of stellar evolution and
nucleocosmochronology, is thought to be about 4.57 billion years.[7]

It is thought that about 4.59 billion years ago, the rapid collapse of a hydrogen molecular cloud
led to the formation of a third generation T Tauri Population I star, the Sun. The nascent star
assumed a nearly circular orbit about 26,000 light-years from the centre of the Milky Way
Galaxy.[8]

The Sun is about halfway through its main-sequence evolution, during which nuclear fusion
reactions in its core fuse hydrogen into helium. Each second, more than 4 million tonnes of
matter are converted into energy within the Sun's core, producing neutrinos and solar radiation;
at this rate, the Sun will have so far converted around 100 Earth-masses of matter into energy.
The Sun will spend a total of approximately 10 billion years as a main sequence star.

The Sun does not have enough mass to explode as a supernova. Instead, in 5–6 billion years, it
will enter a red giant phase, its outer layers expanding as the hydrogen fuel in the core is
consumed and the core contracts and heats up. Helium fusion will begin when the core
temperature reaches around 100 MK, and will produce carbon and oxygen, entering the
asymptotic giant branch of a planetary nebula phase in about 7.8 billion years, during which
instabilities in interior temperature lead the surface of the sun to shed mass. While it is likely that
the expansion of the outer layers of the Sun will reach the current position of Earth's orbit, recent
research suggests that mass lost from the Sun earlier in its red giant phase will cause the Earth's
orbit to move further out, preventing it from being engulfed.[9] However, Earth's water will be
boiled away and most of its atmosphere will escape into space. The increase in solar
temperatures over this period is sufficient that by about 900 million years into the future, the
surface of the Earth will become too hot for the survival of life as we know it.[10] After
another billion years the surface water will have completely disappeared.[11]

Life-cycle of the Sun; sizes are not drawn to scale.

Following the red giant phase, intense thermal pulsations will cause the Sun to throw off its outer
layers, forming a planetary nebula. The only object that will remain after the outer layers are
ejected is the extremely hot stellar core, which will slowly cool and fade as a white dwarf over
many billions of years. This stellar evolution scenario is typical of low- to medium-mass
stars.[9][12] " (Source)

4- From a Muslim web site:

"Modern science tells us that the growth of clouds and precipitation require that
the
winds fertilize the clouds with a quantity of microscopic
particles called condensation nuclei. The most important qualities of these
seeds are that they draw water or dissolve into it. The winds also carry water vapor to the clouds
so they will produce rain. The process goes on with the coming together of numerous particles of
water in the atmosphere around these condensation nuclei.

The smallest droplet of water is made up of at least 100 molecules. It is not easy
for such a number to come together by mere coincidence without there being
nuclei to precipitate upon.
These particles are preserved. In this way, people have come to know that the Qur’anic verse
points to how the winds fertilize the clouds with water vapor then with condensation nuclei as a
precursor to the existence of rain. Allah says:

See you not that Allah drives the clouds gently, then joins them together, then
makes them into a heap of layers and you see the rain comes forth from between
them; and they are like mountains in the sky from which He sends down hail, and
strikes therewith whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The vivid
flash of the clouds’ lightning nearly blinds the sight.
Meteorologists say that rain requires the development of precipitating clouds.
Among these rain clouds are cumulonimbus clouds that form in a vertical
direction. They can extend upwards of twenty kilometers. These cumulonimbus
clouds have three layers. The lowest level consists of growing drops of water. The
middle layer contains water droplets having temperatures below freezing that are still in a liquid
form. As for the highest layer, it is comprised of pure white ice crystals. Allah has made the
water droplets that are above freezing unstable, capable of freezing by merely plunging into a
solid body. This is why when ice crystals fall from the highest layer to the middle layer and meet
with water that is above freezing, the crystals adhere to these droplets and freeze with them,
swiftly increasing their size."

5- From Wikipedia:

"Cloud condensation nuclei or CCNs (also known as cloud seeds) are small particles (typically
0.0002 mm, or 1/100 th the size of a cloud droplet [1]) about which cloud droplets coalesce.
Water requires a non-gaseous surface to make the transition from a vapour to a liquid. In the
atmosphere, this surface presents itself as tiny solid or liquid particles called CCNs. When no
CCNs are present, water vapour can be supercooled below 0 °C (32 °F) before droplets
spontaneously form (this is the basis of the cloud chamber for detecting subatomic particles)."

6- From Wikipedia:

"Coalescence is the process by which two or more droplets or particles merge during
contact to form a single daughter droplet (or bubble). It can take
place in many processes, ranging from meteorology to astrophysics. For example, it is both
involved in the formation of raindrops as well as planetary and star formation."

Allah Almighty further Says:

Noble Verse(s) 23:18

cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease).

2- The moon's S-shaped orbit, reflection of

light, and the curvy orbits of the celestial
bodies:
The appearance of the splitting of the moon in half was witnessed by many
Muslims.

Noble Verse(s) 36:39

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[036:039] And the moon! We destined it to return in stages until it comes back like the dried out
branch of the date tree!

Transliteration:

Arabic (from right to left):

36:39 ‫آ ﺎﻟﻌﺮﺟﻮن اﻟﻘ ﺪﻳﻢ واﻟﻘﻤ ﺮ ﻗ ﺪرﻧﺎﻩ ﻣﻨ ﺎزل ﺣ ﺘﻰ ﻋ ﺎد‬

When the date-tree branches begin to grow, they start out looking archy. As they continue to
grow they start arching the other way from the bottom, giving them the look of an English letter
S. When they become very old, and begin to dry and die, they would've reached their maximum
growth, and in most cases, they resemble the English letter S.

Allah Almighty also Said:

Noble Verse(s) 15:14

Yusuf Ali:

[015:014] Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all

4. Al-Mawrid dictionary Arabic-English section [4], Page 756.

the meaning of AARAJ means the following:

‫( اﻋﺮج‬a'aaraj), which is the root word: person who has a lame leg from a polio disease. He
walks lamely. Such person doesn't walk straight.

‫( اﻟﻌﺮﺟ ﺎن‬al-aarajan): ‫( ﻣﺸﻴﺔ اﻷﻋﺮج‬mishyatu al-a'aaraj) the walk of the a'aaraj.

‫( اﻟﻌ ﺮج‬al-aaraj): ‫ آﺎﻟﺤﻘ ﺐ‬, ‫ﺘﻘﻴﻢ ﻻ ان هﻮ و‬ ‫ اﻟﺒ ﻮل ﻣﺨﺮج ﻳﺴ‬it means al-haqab, which is
when the ejecting of the urine is not straight and is curved (‫ﺘﻘﻴﻢ ﻻ‬ ‫ ﻳﺴ‬la yastaqeem).

‫( اﻟﻌ ﺮج‬al-aaraj): ‫ﺔ‬ ‫اﻟﺸ ﻤﺲ ﻏﻴﺒﻮﺑ‬, ‫ اﻟﻤﻐ ﺮب ﻧﺤ ﻮ إﻧﻌﺮاﺟﻬ ﺎ ﻳﻘ ﺎل و‬the setting of the sun, and it
is said: it's inejaajuha towards the West, which means, it's curved or archy path towards the
West.

‫ج‬
َ ‫ﻋ َﺮ‬
َ (aaraja): ‫( ﻋ ﺮﻳﺞ‬aareej): ‫ﻊ‬ ‫ ﻋ ﻼ و إرﺗﻔ‬raised and ascended up.

‫ﺮﻳﺞ ﻋﺮّج‬ ‫( ﺗﻌ‬aarraja taareeja): ‫( ﻣﻴّﻞ‬mayyala) made curvy or archy.

‫ج‬
ْ ‫( اﻟ ُﻤ ْﻨ َﻌ َﺮ‬al-munaaraj): ‫( اﻟﻤﻨﻌﻄ ﻒ‬al-munaataf) a curved turn ahead.

[So when Allah Almighty Says: ‫ اﻟﻤﻌ ﺎرج ذي اﷲ‬, it means that Allah Almighty is the One who
Created the archy and curvy orbits and paths of the Universe. They are not straight shots! They
are curvy. That's why Allah Almighty chose the Words ‫ ﻋﺮج‬, ‫ ﻳﻌ ﺮﺟﻮن‬, ‫ اﻟﻤﻌ ﺎرج‬because they
all speak about curvy routes to Heaven and not straight ones.]

Furthermore, we read:
‫( اﻟﺸ ﺊ إﻧﻌ ﺮج‬in'aaraja al-shaya'): ‫ﻣﺎل و إﻧﻌﻄ ﻒ‬ ‫ﺴ َﺮ ًة و َﻳ ْﻤ َﻨ ًﺔ‬
ْ ‫ َﻳ‬. ‫ﺎل‬ ‫ﻳﻘ‬: ‫اﻟﻨﻬ ﺮ إﻧﻌ ﺮج‬.
Something that curved to the right and to the left. It is said: the river ‫إﻧﻌ ﺮج‬
(in'aaraja), which means the river curved to the right and to the left. It is not straight.

‫ﺎرﻳﺞ‬ ‫( اﻟﻨﻬ ﺮ ﺗﻌ‬ta'aareej al-nahr): ‫ﻪ‬ ‫( ﻣﻨﻌﻄﻔﺎﺗ‬mun'atafatih) the river's curving points.

‫ج‬
َ ‫ﻋ َﺮ‬
َ (aaraja): to swerve, to zigzag, to follow a zigzag course.

‫ﺎرﻳﺞ‬ ‫( ﺗﻌ‬ta'aareej): wavy lines.

‫ج‬
ْ ‫( ُﻣ ْﻨ َﻌ َﺮ‬munaaraj): zigzag, winding.

• Winding: snaking, snaky.

So when Allah Almighty Said:

36:39 ‫آ ﺎﻟﻌﺮﺟﻮن اﻟﻘ ﺪﻳﻢ واﻟﻘﻤ ﺮ ﻗ ﺪرﻧﺎﻩ ﻣﻨ ﺎزل ﺣ ﺘﻰ ﻋ ﺎد‬

‫ ﻋﺮﺟﻮن‬is derived from ‫ ﻋﺮج‬or ‫إﻧﻌ ﺮج‬, and it clearly means that the moon's orbit does curve to
the right and the left, like the English-letter S!

Remember that the English language, and its letter S were not known to Arabia! And as our
scientists today say that the moon orbits the earth in S-shaped loops, Allah Almighty also Said
that the moon orbits the earth in dry and twisted date-tree branches loops, that curve to the
right and to the left, which is S-loops.
That is why Allah Almighty Said looking like AN OLD date tree
branch.

Article #3:
"The Lunar Month

Another example of compound motions is the Lunar Month, which combines these two motions:
1. Theorbit of the Moon around the Earth, which appears as
an eastward motion relative to the stars. This takes about 27.3 days to complete one
orbit with respect to the stars (the sidereal month).
2. The orbit of the Earth around the Sun, which causes the location of the Sun to slowly move
eastward along the Ecliptic." (Source)

The moon's orbit around earth appears as an 'eastward motion.' So what is an eastward motion,
in general, for any planet? It is an S-shaped orbit as the next article says.

Article #4:
"....the planet appears to speed up relative to the stars and begins moving faster than the stars
toward the west, before it settles back into drifting once again toward the east each day. This
sudden motion to the west is called "retrograde motion," since the planet seems to be
regressing from its eastward drift. In this strange type of motion, the planet forms a looping or
S-shaped path against the background of the stars...." (Source)

Article #5:
"precession of the equinoxes, westward motion of the equinoxes along the ecliptic. This motion
was first noted by Hipparchus c.120 B.C. The precession is due to the gravitational attraction of
the moon and sun on the equatorial bulge of the earth, which causes the earth's axis to describe a
cone in somewhat the same fashion as a spinning top. As a result, the celestial equator (see
equatorial coordinate system), which lies in the plane of the earth's equator, moves on the
celestial sphere, while the ecliptic, which lies in the plane of the earth's orbit around the sun, is
not affected by this motion. The equinoxes, which lie at the intersections of the celestial equator
and the ecliptic, thus move on the celestial sphere. Similarly, the celestial poles move in circles
on the celestial sphere, so that there is a continual change in the star at or near one of these poles
(see Polaris). After a period of about 26,000 years the equinoxes and poles lie once again at
nearly the same points on the celestial sphere. Because the gravitational effects of the sun and
moon are not always the same, there is some wobble in the motion of the earth's axis; this
wobble, called nutation, causes the celestial poles to move, not in perfect circles,
but in a series of S-shaped curves with a period of 18.6 years. There is some
further precession caused by the gravitational influences of the other planets; this precession
affects the earth's orbit around the sun and thus causes a shift of the ecliptic on the celestial
sphere. The precession of the earth's orbital plane is sometimes called planetary precession, and
that of the earth's equatorial plane (caused by the sun and moon) is called luni-solar precession;
the combined effect of the moon, the sun, and the planets is called general precession. Planetary
precession is much less than luni-solar precession. The precession of the equinoxes was first
explained by Isaac Newton in 1687." (Source)

Noble Verse(s) 10:5

Yusuf Ali:

‫واﻟﺤﺴ ﺎب ﻣ ﺎﺧﻠﻖ اﷲ ذﻟ ﻚ اﻻ ﺑ ﺎﻟﺤﻖ ﻳﻔﺼ ﻞ اﻻﻳ ﺎت ﻟﻘ ﻮم ﻳﻌﻠﻤ ﻮن‬

We find in Tafsir (interpretation of) Ibn Kahir, a prominent and leading Muslim scholar in the
13th century, the following about WHY THE MOON HAS DIFFERENT emittions OF
LIGHT - from looking like a crecent, to a half moon to a full moon and all different shapes in
between:

"The sun rises each day and sets at the end of the day, giving one kind of light all the time, but it
moves, rising and setting at different points in the summer and winter, thus making the days
and nights longer or shorter alternatively according to the season. Its authority is in the daytime,
for it is the heavenly body that dominates the day. As for the moon, Allah has decreed that it
should pass through different phases. At the beginning of the month, the moon appears small
when it rises. It gives off little light, then on the second night its light increases and it rises to a
higher position, and the higher it rises the more light it gives -- even though it is reflected
from the sun -- until it becomes full on the fourteenth night of the month."

"He created the night with its darkness and the day with its light, and they alternate without
ceasing. And He created the sun with its shining light, and the moon with its reflected light.
and He allotted their stages and gave them separate orbits in the heavens."
(http://www.tafsir.com/default.asp?sid=41&tid=46752......First big paragraph)

So why would Ibn Kathir come up with this statement, many centuries before man
discovered that the earth was spherical and that the moon does indeed reflect the sun's
light? Well, according to

‫( ﻧ ﻮر‬noor): ‫( ﺑﻴّﻦ‬bayyan) reveal, reflect.

‫ﺘﻨﺎر‬ ‫( ﺑ ﻪ إﺳ‬istanaara bihi): ‫( ﺷ ﻌﺎﻋﺔ إﺳﺘﻤ ّﺪ‬istamadda shu'aaa'uh) was supplied by its light.

‫( اﻟﻤﻜ ﺎن اﻧ ﺎر‬anaara al-makaan): ‫( اﻟﻨ ﻮر ﻓﻴ ﻪ وﺿ ﻊ‬wada'aa feehi al-noor) Put light into it, or
reflected light off of it.

‫ت‬
nooraha) The plant reflected the light off of itself, or it showed the light off of itself.
However, plants, as we know, are not a source of light.

‫ﺖ اﻧ ﺎر‬ ‫( اﻟﻨﺒ‬anaara al-nabtu): ‫( ﺣﺴ ﻦ و ﻇﻬﺮ‬tha-hara wa hasan) the plant was revealed well
from light.

‫( ﻧ ﻮر‬noor): be revealed, to be lighted, to receive light.

So clearly, when Allah Almighty Said that the sun is ‫( ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬diyaa'a), a source of light, and the
moon a ‫ ﻧ ﻮرا‬, then clearly the moon:

1- Is reflecting to light, because it is ‫( ﺷ ﻌﺎﻋﺔ إﺳﺘﻤ ّﺪ‬was supplied by light), as this is the
meaning of ‫ إﺳ ﺘﻨﺎر‬, which is derived from the root word ‫ ﻧ ﻮر‬noor.

2- Is reflecting to light, because it is ‫( ﺣﺴ ﻦ و ﻇﻬﺮ‬was revealed well from light) , as this is the
meaning of ‫ اﻧ ﺎر‬, as in ‫اﻟﻨﺒ ﺖ اﻧ ﺎر‬.

3- Is reflecting to light, because it receives light from the sun and it is lighted and
revealed by it.

So which light is the moon reflecting? It is reflecting to the sun's ‫( ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬diyaa'a). Again, ‫هﻮ‬
‫ ﻧ ﻮرا واﻟﻘﻤ ﺮ ﺿ ﻴﺎء اﻟﺸ ﻤﺲ ﺟﻌ ﻞ اﻟ ﺬﻳﻦ‬, and the moon is the noor ‫ ﻧ ﻮرا‬to that diyaa'
‫ ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬of the sun!

Allah Almighty further Said:

Noble Verse(s) 71:15-71:16

Yusuf Ali:
[071:015] "'See ye not how God has created the seven heavens (of the earth, i.e., the 7 layers
of our atmosphere) one above another,

71:16 ‫ﺳ ﺮاﺟﺎ اﻟﺸ ﻤﺲ وﺟﻌ ﻞ ﻧ ﻮرا ﻓﻴﻬ ﻦ اﻟﻘﻤ ﺮ وﺟﻌ ﻞ‬

In this Noble Verse, Allah Almighty talked about the earth's atmospher and its 7
layers revealing the sun's lights that come from the sun and are reflected off of the
moon.

More on this in the Noble Quran soon, insha'Allah (if Allah Almighty is Willing).

Furthermore, when we look at ‫( ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬diyaa'a), we find out that according to:

‫( ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬diyaa'a): ‫اﻟﻀ ﻮء‬, ‫( ﻟ ﻚ اﺿ ﺎء ﻣﺎ‬al-dawa', ma adaa'a laka) the light, and what it
originated from light to you.
• The following poem proves that ‫( ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬diyaa'a) refers to the original light:

‫ت‬
ْ ‫اﻏ ﱠﺮ وﺟﻬًﺎ اﻟﻨﺎ ُر ﻟﻨ ﺎ اﺿﺎ َء‬, ‫ﻣُﻠﺘﺒِﺴًﺎ‬, ‫ﺑﺎﻟﻔُﺆا ِد‬, ‫ إﻟﺘِﺒﺎﺳﺎ‬The fire has originated (‫ت‬
ْ ‫ اﺿﺎ َء‬is derived
from ‫ ) ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬for us the light of a mighty glow, that will always be liked by the heart
(or something like that).

Notice here that the fire is the originator and the source of the light. And notice how
NOOR or a derivative of it wasn't used.

‫( إﺳﺘﻀ ﺎء‬istadaa'): ‫( ﻧﻮر ُﻩ إﺳﺘﻤ ّﺪ‬istamadda noorahu) the original light stretched its NOOR
forth.

‫( ﺗﻀﻮﱠأ‬tadawwa'a): ‫ﻀ ْﻮ ِءﻟﻴﺮى ﻇﻠﻤ ٍﺔ ﻓ ﻰ ﻗ ﺎم‬

َ ‫ اهﻠﻬﺎ اﻟﻨ ﺎر ِﺑ‬he got up during the darkness of the
night to see from the light of the fire, the people in the place.

• Notice again how the fire in this sentence is the originator and the source of the light.
And notice how NOOR or a derivative of it wasn't used.

‫( ﺿ ﻮء‬dawa'): to gleam, radiate, to illumine, illuminate, to shed light, cast light.

Allah Almighty further Said:

Noble Verse(s) 24:35

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[024:035] Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth. An example of its brilliance: there is a
lamp in a luminous niche. The lamp is in a glass which itself gleams like a radiant star. It is lit by
the oil of the blessed tree _ neither from the West nor the East. The oil of the lamp is ready to
glow by itself even without being kindled. The bright luminous light is atop another
brilliant light. Allah guides towards this light whomever He wants and Allah quotes this parable
for the people. Allah is knowledgeable of all things!

The oil is about to ‫ﻴﺊ‬ ‫( ﻳﻀ‬yudee'o) without being kindled by fire. Notice how the OIL, in
the Parable, is the SOURCE OF LIGHT, and the Arabic word yudee'o ‫ ﻳﻀ ﻴﺊ‬is
derived from the root words ‫( ﺿ ﻴﺎء‬diyaa'a) and ‫( ﺿ ﻮء‬dawa').

long is the bow the person uses.
Noble Verse(s) 58:7
Yusuf Ali:

[058:007] Seest thou not that God doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is
not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five
but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever
they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For God
has full knowledge of all things.

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[058:007] Do you not realize that Allah knows everything in the heavens and on earth? Never is
there a secret conference of three, where He is not the fourth (listening in); nor of five, where He
is not the sixth (listening). Even when there are less (than three) or more than that number

Sher Ali:

[058:007] Seest thou not that ALLAH knows all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth
? There is no secret counsel of three, but HE is their fourth, nor of five but HE is their sixth, nor
of less than that, nor of more, but HE is with them wheresoever they may be. Then on the Day
of Resurrection HE will inform them of what they did. Surely, ALLAH has full knowledge of all
things.

Shakir:

[058:007] Do you not see that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the
earth? Nowhere is there a secret counsel between three persons but He is the fourth of them, nor
(between) five but He is the sixth of them, nor less than that nor more but He is with them
wheresoever they are; then He will inform them of what they did on the day of resurrection:
surely Allah is Cognizant of all things.

Pickthall:

[058:007] Hast thou not seen that Allah knoweth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the
earth ? There is no secret conference of three but He is their fourth, nor of five but He is their
sixth, nor of less than that or more but He is with them wheresoever they may be; and
afterward, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of what they did. Lo! Allah is
Knower of all things.

Sale:

[058:007] Dost thou not perceive that God knoweth whatever is in heaven and in earth? There is
no private discourse among three persons, but He is the fourth of them; nor among five, but He is
the sixth of them; neither among a smaller number than this, nor a larger, but He is with
them; wheresoever they be: And He will declare unto them that which they have done, on the
day of resurrection; for God knoweth all things.

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[058:007] Have you not seen that Allah knows whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is
on the earth? There is no Najwa (secret counsel) of three, but He is their fourth (with His
Knowledge, while He Himself is over the Throne, over the seventh heaven), nor of five but He is
their sixth (with His Knowledge), not of less than that or more, but He is with them (with His
Knowledge) wheresoever they may be; and afterwards on the Day of Resurrection, He will
inform them of what they did. Verily, Allah is the All-Knower of everything.

Palmer:

[058:007] Dost thou not see that God knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth? and
that there cannot be a privy discourse of three but He makes the fourth? nor of five but He makes
the sixth? nor less than that nor more, but that He is with them wheresoe'er they be? then He
will inform them of what they have done upon the resurrection day; verily, God all things doth
know!

Arberry:

[058:007] God has numbered it, and they have forgotten it. God is witness over everything. Hast
thou not seen that God knows whatsoever is in the heavens, and whatsoever is in the earth?
Three men conspire not secretly together, but He is the fourth of them, neither five men, but He
is the sixth of them, neither fewer than that, neither more, but He is with them, wherever they
may be; then He shall tell them what they have done, on the Day of Resurrection. Surely God has
knowledge of everything.

Khalifa: (why is he here?)

[058:007] Do you not realize that GOD knows everything in the heavens and everything on
earth? No three people can conspire secretly without Him being their fourth, nor five without
Him being the sixth, nor less than that, nor more, without Him being there with them wherever
they may be. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of everything they had
done. GOD is fully aware of all things.

Rodwell:

[058:007] Dost thou not see that God knoweth all that is in the Heavens and all that is in the
Earth? Three persons speak not privately together, but He is their fourth; nor five, but He is their
sixth; nor fewer nor more, but wherever they be He is with them. Then on the day of
resurrection He will tell them of their deeds: for God knoweth all things.

As virtually every single English translator on my web site, http://www.quransearch.com/, have

translated ADNA ‫ ادﻧ ﻰ‬in this Noble Verse, 58:7, to "lower" or "lesser", then based on
what objective ground will we now reject the same translation of "lowest land" to be applied
to Noble Verse 30:3?

According to

Yes, Adna ‫ ادﻧ ﻰ‬does mean near or to bring nearer. But it also means:

‫( ادﻧ ﻰ‬adna): ‫ﻞ‬

ُ ‫( اﻟﺴﱠ ِﻔ‬al-safilu) the lower or lowest.

‫( اﻻدﻧ ﻰ‬adna): ‫( اﻟﺨﺴﻴﺲ‬al-khasees) the despicable or most despised.

‫ﻰ‬
‫( اﻟ ﱠﺪ ِﻧ ﱡ‬al-daniyyu): ‫( اﻟﺨﺴﻴﺲ‬al-khasees) the despicable or most despised.

‫( ﻓ ﻰ‬fi): ‫( ﻣﻦ‬min) from.

• " ‫( " ﻓ ﻲ ﺗﺴ ﻊ اﻳ ﺎت وادﺧ ﻞ ﻳ ﺪك ﻓ ﻲ ﺟﻴﺒ ﻚ ﺗﺨ ﺮج ﺑﻴﻀ ﺎء ﻣ ﻦ ﻏ ﻴﺮ ﺳ ﻮء‬The

Noble Quran, 27:12): ‫ ﺗﺴ ﻊ اﻳ ﺎت ﻣﻦ ﺗﺴ ﻊ اﻳ ﺎت أى ﻓ ﻲ‬fi nine Signs means FROM
nine Signs.

knights.

‫( ﻓ ﻰ‬fi): in, at, by, near, within, about, on, concerning, with reference to, as to, according to, in
proportion to, AFTER as in ‫ آ ﺬب ﻓ ﻲ آ ﺬب‬lie AFTER lie, BEFORE as in ‫ ﻣﻀ ﻰ ﻓﻴﻤ ﺎ‬before
what passed.

So as we clearly see, the land which the Romans were defeated in were:

1- The lowest lands.

2- The most despicable lands, as the interpretation of Noble Verse 2:61 above, from Lisan Al-
Arab dictionary, along with the many other proofs that I've provided clearly prove that ADNA
means the LOWEST and MOST DESPISED.

3- At and near and around "ADNA" ‫" ادﻧ ﻰ‬THE LAND" ‫ اﻻرض‬. And what is this "land"? It
is the most despicable and lowest land!

Important Note: Perhaps, that is why Allah Almighty preceded "land" ‫ ارض‬with the definite
article THE ‫ال‬, and didn't say: ‫ ارﺿ ﻜﻢ ادﻧ ﻰ‬near YOUR LAND! No, He, the Almighty, instead
said ‫ اﻻرض ادﻧ ﻰ‬- making the reference to a specific foreign land, which also happens to be the
lowest and most despicable one.
So ADNA ‫ ادﻧ ﻰ‬here is applied to the status of the land, making it despicable and lowest, and
with the definite article THE ‫ ال‬, the defeat of the Romans happened near and around that
referenced doomed piece of land.

So to put it together in a simpler form, Noble Verses 30:2-3 should read:

30:2 ‫ﻏﻠﺒ ﺖ اﻟ ﺮوم‬

30:3 ‫اﻻرض ادﻧ ﻰ ﻓ ﻲ‬

The Romans had been defeated at near and around THE MOST
DESPICABLE AND LOWEST LAND.

It just so happens that these lands were near the lowest spot on earth, the dead sea
area, which is approximately 400 meters below the sea level, and which also happens
to be the land where Sodom and Gomorrah were doomed in.

Mount Everest (8,850 m/29,035 ft above sea level).

The Dead Sea is the lowest spot on earth. It is also the richest in concentrated natural
minerals, making the area a world - renowned natural health spa. The ancient world knew
of the area's wondrous curative properties and throughout the ages people from the four
corners of the earth have enjoyed its benefits.

3- From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Sea#In_Islam:
In Islam

In Islamic tradition, the Dead Sea was about the land in which the Prophet Lut (Lot in the
Hebrew scriptures) lived. The people of the towns and cities were wicked for their acts of
homosexuality, raping men, robbery and murder and had therefore been given a punishment for
such deeds. The punishment arrived when angels in the form of beautiful men were sent down by
God as guests for Lut to host. When Lut's people heard of the men, they rushed to Lut's house to
misbehave and rape the men. This was their final test which they failed so the angel Gabriel
raised the land where the prophet's people lived, tipped it upside down and threw it back on
earth, causing the ground near the impact to cave in. Thus, the lowest land on Earth was
formed because of this punishment. The non-believers (in the monotheism doctrine) were
destroyed and the followers were saved. According to some interpretations, the sura of ar-Rum
of the Quran refers to the Dead Sea as the lowest place on Earth.[13][14]

Bedouin tribes have continuously lived in this area, and more recently explorers and scientists
arrived to analyze the minerals and conduct research into the unique climate. Tourism in the
region has been developed since the 1960s.

Recent History

The Dead Sea Scrolls were found in caves at Qumran at the Dead Sea. The world's lowest
road, Highway 90, runs along the Israeli and West Bank shores of the Dead Sea at 393 m
(1,289 ft) below sea level.

There are also health spas and hot springs along the shore, besides the unique water of the Dead
Sea itself. A golf course named for Sodom and Gomorrah was built by the British at Kalia on the
northern shore. The first major hotels were built in Israel, first at nearby Arad, and since the
1960s at the Neve Zohar resort complex. The Jordanian side has seen increasing development in
recent years. For example, three international franchises have opened seaside resort hotels near
the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center along the eastern coast of the Dead Sea. [15]

4- From http://www.miraclesofthequran.com/predictions_01.html:

INTRODUCTION

Another miraculous aspect of the Qur'an is its prediction of future events, all of which have so far been fulfilled. This is
one of the proofs that the Qur'an is the Word of Allah. In the following pages, we will dwell on some of these events.
THE VICTORY OF BYZANTIUM

An astonishing prediction is found in the first verses of Surat ar-Rum, which refers to the Byzantine Empire, the eastern
part of the later Roman Empire: The Byzantine Empire, which had met with a great defeat, would soon gain victory.

Alif, Lam, Mim. The Romans have been defeated in the lowest land, but after their defeat they will be
victorious within three to nine years. The affair is Allah's from beginning to end. On that day, the
believers will rejoice. (Qur'an, 30:1-4)

These verses were revealed around 620, almost 7 years after the idolatrous Persians had severely defeated Christian
Byzantium in 613-14. In fact, Byzantium had suffered such heavy losses that it seemed impossible for it even to
survive, let alone be victorious again. Following their defeat of the Byzantines at Antioch in 613, the Persians seized
control of Damascus, Cilicia, Tarsus, Armenia, and Jerusalem. The loss of Jerusalem in 614 was particularly traumatic
for the Byzantines, for the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was destroyed and the Persians seized the "True Cross," the
symbol of Christianity.174 In addition, the Avars, Slavs, and Lombards also were posing serious threats to the
Byzantine Empire. The Avars had reached as far as the walls of Constantinople. Emperor Heraclius ordered the gold
and silver in churches to be melted and turned into money in order to meet the army's expenses. When this proved
insufficient, bronze statues were melted down in order to mint more money. Many governors had revolted against
Heraclius, and Byzantium was on the point of collapse.175 Mesopotamia, Cilicia, Syria, Palestine, Egypt and Armenia,
which had earlier belonged to Byzantium, were invaded by the idolatrous Persians.176

The Dead Sea basin where Byzantium was defeated by Persians. Above is a
satellite photograph of the region. The Lake of Lut region, which is the lowest
region of the world, is 395 meter below the sea level.

In short, everyone was expecting Byzantium to be destroyed. But during this time, the first verses of Surat ar-Rum were
revealed, announcing that Byzantium would triumph in 3 to 9 years. This predicted victory seemed so impossible that
the Arab polytheists thought it would never come true.
Like all the other predictions in the Qur'an, however, this one also came true. In
622, Heraclius gained a number of victories over the Persians and conquered
Armenia.177 In December 627, the two empires fought a decisive battle at Nineveh,
some 50 kilometres east of the Tigris river, near Baghdad. This time too, the
Byzantine army defeated the Persians. A few months later, the Persians had to sue
for peace with Byzantium, which obliged them to return the territories they had
taken from it.178

The Byzantine victory was completed when Emperor Heraclius defeated the Persian
ruler Khosrow II in 630, recaptured Jerusalem, and regained the "True Cross" for
the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.179 In the end, "the victory of the Romans"
proclaimed by Allah in the Qur'an miraculously came true within the verses' stated
"three to nine years" time frame.

Another miracle revealed in these verses is the announcement of a geographical fact

On top a satellite photograph of that could not have been known by anyone at that time: that the Romans had been
the Dead Sea basin. The defeated in the lowest region of Earth. This Arabic expression adna al-Ard is
altitude of the Dead Sea could interpreted as "a nearby place" in many translations. However, this is not the literal
only be determined with meaning, but rather a figurative interpretation. The word adna, derived from the
modern measurement word dani (low), means “the lowest”. The word ard means “the world.” Therefore,
techniques. These adna al-ard means "the lowest place on Earth."
measurements led to the
discovery that this region is the Some interpreters of the Qur'an, considering the closeness of the region in question
"lowest region on the Earth." to the Arabs, prefer the "closest" meaning of the word. However, the actual meaning
indicates a very important geological fact: The Dead Sea, one of the regions in
which the Byzantines were defeated in 613-14, is the lowest region on Earth.180

As stated earlier, for Christian Byzantium, the loss of the True Cross was the heaviest blow in that defeat in Jerusalem,
located near the shores of the Dead Sea.

The Byzantines and the Persians actually fought at the Dead Sea basin, which is situated at the
intersection point of the lands belonging to Syria, Palestine, and Jordan. At 399 meters below sea
level, the Dead Sea is the "lowest" place on Earth's surface.181

However, as only modern measuring methods and equipment can prove this fact, it would have been impossible for
anyone living at that time to realise this truth. Yet, the Qur'an states clearly that this region was the "lowest land" on
Earth and thereby provides further evidence that it is the Word of Allah.

".....When we investigated the lowest part of the earth, we found that it was exactly the
same spot that witnessed the battle in which the Romans were defeated. When we
informed Professor Palmer about this, he contested saying that there were many other
areas, which are lower than the one referred to in the Qur'anic verse. He gave examples
and names of other areas in Europe and in the United States. We assured him that our
information was verified and correct. He had with him a topographical globe that showed
elevations and depressions.

He said that it would be easy with that globe to ascertain which was the lowest spot on
earth. He turned the globe with his hands and focused his sign on the area near Jerusalem.
To his astonishment, there was a small arrow sticking out towards that area with
words: "the lowest part on the face of the earth."

Professor Palmer was quick to concede that our information was correct. He proceeded to
speak, as you now see him with the globe, saying that this was actually the lowest part of
the earth....."

way, the distance between the earth's north and south poles is approximately only 45
miles shorter than the earth's width.

Noble Verse(s) 52:5
Arabic (from right to left):

52:5 ‫ﻘﻒ‬ ‫اﻟﻤ ﺮﻓﻮع واﻟﺴ‬

For more proofs, please visit: The Ozone layer is a protective ceiling to earth. So
when Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 79:30-79:31

Yusuf Ali:

[079:030] And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);
[079:031] He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture;

Arabic (from right to left):

79:30 ‫دﺣﺎهﺎ واﻻرض ﺑﻌ ﺪ ذﻟ ﻚ‬

79:31 ‫وﻣﺮﻋﺎهﺎ ﻣﺎءهﺎ ﻣﻨﻬﺎ اﺧﺮج‬

It also means that Allah Almighty Made a protective ceiling or umbrella for the
earth, which without it, NO WATER COULD POSSIBLY EXIST ON
EARTH!

So based on all of these meanings, what do

we find? We find that:
1- The earth is a moving object that was pushed or thrown by Allah Almighty into space.

2- The earth is a qurs and indahhat and is dihdaaha, which means it is a round and a spherical
object.

3- The earth has expanded, and from that expansion, all of the huge bodies of water that we
have today from oceans, seas, lakes and rivers were extracted AND/OR FORMED from the earth
with the aid of its protective atmosphere.

4- The earth is mad-hooha ( ‫) ﻣﺪﺣﻮﺣﺎ‬, which is balanded and evened.

5- The earth is dihya, which means it is the best among its group. This is true since all of the
planets in our solar system are pretty much similar to our moon. They are lifeless and have no
life and no water in them. Earth, on the other hand, has (1) ample water, which is why it is
called the BLUE PLANET, (2) ample life, and even (3) Paradise-like views and nature in
places such as Hawaii, Alaska, the Carribeans, places in Europe, Asia, Africa etc...

6- The earth is also dahdah and dahdaah, which means it is round and compressed.

7- The earth has a protective umbrella and ceiling above it.

All of this perfectly fits our planet earth! And even if we just take the
EXPANDED interpretation alone and leave out the rest, then Noble Verses 79:30-31 are still
quite Miraculous because, indeed the waters that we have today all came to existence in such a
large and massive quantity ONLY AFTER THE EARTH BEGAN TO EXPAND with of course
the aid of our protective atmosphere; all working together.

َ ‫ َﻳ ْﻨ َﻜ ِﻔ‬yankafitu ahl almaghrib means when they go to
their homes.

‫ﺎت‬ ‫( أﻹﻧﻜﻔ‬al-inkifaat): ‫ اﻹﻧﺼ ﺮاف‬going away, leaving.

‫ﺎ‬ ‫( آﻔﺎﺗ‬kifaata): ‫ اﻟﻄ ﻴﺮان و اﻟﻌ ﺪو ﻓ ﻲ أﺳ ﺮع‬speeded in running and flying.

‫ﺖ‬ ‫( اﻟﻜﻔﻴ‬al-kafeet): ‫اﻟﻨﻜ ﺎح ﻋﻠ ﻰ اﻟﻘ ﻮة‬, ‫ اﻟﺠﻤ ﺎع ﻋﻠ ﻰ اﻟﻘ ﻮة‬strength for marriage and the
strength to have intercourse or to fertilize, or to make life.

• And in Prophet Muhammad's Hadith: ‫ر ﻳﻘﺎل ﻟﻬﺎ‬ ٍ ‫اﻟﻜﻔﻴ ﺖ أﺗﺎﻧﻲ ﺟﺒﺮﻳﻞ ﺑﻘ ْﺪ‬, ‫ﻓﻮﺟﺪت ﻗﻮة‬
‫ﻼ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺠﻤﺎع‬
ً ‫ أرﺑﻌﻴﻦ رﺟ‬The Angel Gabriel put into me the al-kafeet, and I found in it the
strength of 40 men in sexual intercourse.
• Allah Almighty did say: "And We send the fertilizing winds, then cause the rain to
descend from the sky...(The Noble Quran, 15:22)"

• Allah Almighty also Said: "He causes the living to emerge from the dead, and brings
the dead out of the living...(The Noble Quran, 30:19)"

Indeed, the earth:

1- Is running in space.

2- Is rotating around its own axle.

3- Has the means to create life and/or to have life fertilized and multipled in it.

4- And it does CONTAIN its creatures and it does maintain their life and means of living for
them.

5- Notice how in Noble Verse 77:26, it says:

77:26 ‫ واﻣﻮاﺗ ﺎ اﺣﻴ ﺎء‬The living and the dead.

Indeed, the earth is encompassing to both the dead and the living, and it does create the living
and recreates the dead, all through Allah Almighty's Divine Will, Mercy, Design and
Wisdom.

That is why I translated kifaata in Noble Verse 77:26 to: moving fast in space and is
encompassing to all of its creatures and it has the ability to create and recreate. The word
encompasses all of these meanings, and all of them PERFECTLY FIT the description of earth!

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 30:25

Yusuf Ali:

[030:025] And among His Signs is this, that heaven and earth stand (move in their fixed
courses) by His Command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, ye
(straightway) come forth.

Transliteration:

In Noble Verse 30:25, the Arabic word ‫ ﺗﻘ ﻮم‬stand, has the following meanings. According to:

‫( ﺗﻘ ﻮم‬taqoom): is derived from ‫( ﻗﻴ ﺎم‬qiyam), which means ‫( ﺷ ﻴﺊ إﻟ ﻰ اﻟ ِﻬﻤّﺔ‬al-himmah ila

‫( ﺗﻘ ﻮم‬taqoom): ‫ إﻋﺘ ﺪل أي ﻗ ﺎﺋﻢ‬Qa'em which means became balanced ‫إﻋﺘ ﺪل‬.

‫( ﺗﻘ ﻮم‬taqoom): ‫( اﺳ ﺘﻘﺎﻣﻮا‬istaqaamu): executed the commands firmly:

• ‫( ﺗﺘ ﻨﺰل ﻋﻠﻴﻬ ﻢ اﻟﻤﻼﺋﻜ ﺔ اﺳ ﺘﻘﺎﻣﻮا ان اﻟ ﺬﻳﻦ ﻗ ﺎﻟﻮا رﺑﻨ ﺎ اﷲ ﺛ ﻢ‬The Noble Quran,
41:30) means ‫ ﻣﻌﻨﻰ ﻗﻮﻟﻪ اﺳﺘﻘﺎﻣﻮا اي ﻋﻤﻠﻮا ﺑﻄﺎﻋﺘﻪ وﻟﺰﻣﻮا ﺳﻨّﺔ ﻧﺒﻴﱢﻪ‬the meaning of His, the
Almighty, Saying ISTAQAAMU means they firmly executed His Will and
Commands and followed the Ways of His Prophet.

• ‫ﺘﻘﻴﻤﻮا‬ ‫( اﻟﻴ ﻪ ﻓﺎﺳ‬The Noble Quran, 41:6) ‫ اﻟﺘﻮﺟ ﻪ إﻟﻴ ﻪ أي ﻓ ﻲ‬means head
towards him, Allah Almighty. Of course, by going to the Mosque to Pray, by paying
Charity, by to going to Mecca for pilgrimage, etc...
‫ ﻗ ﺎم‬Qaama: to get up, to perform, do, carry out, execute, practice, exercise, run.

Now it is also mentioned in Lisan Al-Arab dictionary [1], Book 7, Page 456:

‫( اﻟﻘﻴ ﺎم‬al-qiyaam): means ‫ﺎت و اﻟﻮﻗ ﻮف‬ ‫ اﻟﺜﺒ‬which means standing and remaining still.

My simple response to this is the following:

1- Yes indeed, the planet earth is standing still according to our bodies and it is indeed
balanced! Otherwise, we would all perish!

2- But however, since it was a known fact that the celestial bodies in Heaven such as the SUN,
MOON, SHOOTING STARS and others were all moving bodies, then it is obviously safe to
also accept this meaning about the earth also moving to apply to Noble Verse 30:25, especially
when we already know that the earth was mentioned to be ROUND and WAS PUSHED and
THROWN INTO SPACE, as I already thoroughly demonstrated earlier (above) in the word
DAHAHA.

So it is safe to accept the word taqoom ‫ ﺗﻘ ﻮم‬in Noble Verse 30:25 to mean both FIXED IN
THEIR MOVING COURSES, and for the earth to be standing still AND BALANCED for the
creatures that live on it for the following reasons:

1- The earth and heaven were mentioned together in the same Noble Verse.

2- We know that the Heaven is full of curvy and wavy orbits as I discussed in ARJOON AND
MA'AARIJ earlier (above).

3- We know that the earth is round and is pushed and thrown in space by Allah Almighty as I
discussed in DAHAHA earlier (above).

4- As to the earth being standing still, obviously, to us, it is standing still and it is
BALANCED! Otherwise, we would all perish! More on this when we discuss the function of
the mountains in the Noble Quran and how they prevent the earth from swaying while it is
rotating around its own axle, in the Noble Quran.

(The following Noble Verse was suggested to me by brother Mahir Karaosmanovic, may Allah
Almighty always be pleased with him)

Furthermore, we read in Noble Verse 55:10:

Noble Verse(s) 55:10
Yusuf Ali:

[055:010] It is He Who has spread out (set) the earth (on a moving course) for (His) creatures:

Arabic (from right to left):

55:10 ‫ﻟﻼﻧ ﺎم واﻻرض وﺿ ﻌﻬﺎ‬

Abdullah Yusuf Ali here translated the word wadaa' ‫ﻊ‬ َ‫ﺿ‬َ ‫ َو‬as "spread out". But
however, Abdullah Yusuf Ali and all of the English translators of the Noble Quran
that I've listed at http://www.quransearch.com/, with the exception of one, have
translated the very same exact word, wadaa' ‫ﻊ‬ َ‫ﺿ‬ َ ‫ َو‬, as something
that is moving , "hurrying to" , in the Noble Verse 9:47:
Noble Verse(s) 9:47
Yusuf Ali:

[009:047] If they had come out with you, they would not have added to your (strength) but only

would have been some among you who would have listened to them. But God knoweth well
those who do wrong.

Sher Ali:

[009:047] Had they gone forth with you, they would have added to you naught but trouble, and
would have hurried to and fro in your midst, seeking to sow discord among you. And there are
among you those who would listen to you so as to convey information to them. And ALLAH
well knows the wrongdoers.

Shakir:

[009:047] Had they gone forth with you, they would not have added to you aught save
corruption, and they would certainly have hurried about among you seeking (to sow) dissension
among you, and among you there are those who hearken for their sake; and Allah knows the
unjust.

Pickthall:

[009:047] Had they gone forth among you they had added to you naught save trouble and had
hurried to and fro among you, seeking to cause sedition among you; and among you there are
some who would have listened to them. Allah is Aware of evil- doers.

Sale:

[009:047] If they had gone forth with you, they had only been a burden unto you, and had run to
and fro between you, stirring you up to sedition; and there would have been some among you,
who would have given ear unto them: An God knoweth the wicked.

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[009:047] Had they marched out with you, they would have added to you nothing except
disorder, and they would have hurried about in your midst (spreading corruption) and sowing
sedition among you, and there are some among you who would have listened to them. And Allah
is the All-Knower of the Zalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).

Palmer:

[009:047] Had they gone forth with you they would but have made you more trouble, and they
would have hurried about amongst you craving a sedition; amongst you are some who would
have listened to them; but God knows those who are unjust!

Arberry:

[009:047] Had they gone forth among you, they would only have increased you in trouble, and
run to and fro in your midst, seeking to stir up sedition between you; and some of you would
listen to them; and God knows the evildoers.

Rodwell:

[009:047] Had they taken the field with you, they would only have added a burden to you, and
have hurried about among you, stirring you up to sedition; and some there are among you who
would have listened to them: and God knoweth the evil doers.
So indeed, It is He Who has set the earth on a moving course for (His) creatures.

the thing from his hand, which means he threw it!

‫ﺿ َﻊ‬
َ ‫ َو‬wada'aa: ‫ اﻟﺴ ﻴﺮ هﻮ اﻹﻳﻀ ﺎع‬Al-idaa'aa is walking.

‫( اﻹﻳﻀ ﺎع‬al-idaa'aa): Also means ‫ ﻳﺤﻤﻠ ﻪ‬to carry him.

• ‫ ﺻ ﻠﻰ ال‬,‫ أﻧ ﻪ‬:‫ أﻓ ﺎض ﻣ ﻦ ﻋﺮﻓ ﺔ و ﻋﻠﻴ ﻪ اﻟﺴ ﻜﻴﻨﺔ وو ﻓ ﻲ اﻟﺤ ﺪﻳﺚ‬,‫ﻟ ﻪ ﻋﻠﻴ ﻪ و ﺳ ﻠﻢ‬
‫ ﻗ ﺎل أﺑ ﻮ ﻋﺒﻴ ﺪ أوﺿ ﻊ‬,‫ﻓ ﻲ وادي ﻣﺤﺴ ﺮ‬: ‫أﻹﻳﻀﺎع ﺳﻴ ٌﺮ ﻣﺜﻞ اﻟﺨﺒﺐ‬

And in the Hadith: Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, came down from mount
Arafah, and he had calmness on him. And then the Prophet AWDA'AA (began to
jog) ‫ أوﺿ ﻊ‬in the vallley of mahsar. Abu Ubaida said: ‫( اﻹﻳﻀ ﺎع‬al-idaa'aa) is the
walking in a form of khabab (jogging [6], page 224).

‫ﺿ َﻊ‬
َ ‫ َو‬wada'aa: ‫ ﻓﻴﻬ ﺎ اﻟﻤﺴ ﺮع أي اﻟﻤُﻮﺿِﻊ‬the mudi'aa is the one who is SPEEDING.

‫ﺿ َﻊ‬
َ ‫ َو‬wada'aa: ‫ أﺳ ﺮع و ﻋﺪا أي وﺿﻌًﺎ ﻳﻀ ﻊ‬yada'o wadaan means ran and speeded.

‫ﺿ َﻊ‬
َ ‫ َو‬wada'aa: ‫ أﺳ ﺮع‬increased his speed.

So as we clearly and indesputably see, ‫ﻊ‬َ‫ﺿ‬

َ ‫ َو‬wada'aa clearly refers to an action. This action has
to do with: (1) Carrying, (2) Speeding, and (3) Walking.

All of this perfectly fits our planet earth! Yes indeed, 55:10 ‫ ﻟﻼﻧ ﺎم وﺿ ﻌﻬﺎ واﻻرض‬It is He
Who has set the earth on a moving course for (His) creatures.
Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 55:7

Yusuf Ali:

[055:007] And the Firmament has He raised high (raised it on a moving course) , and He has set
up the Balance (in it) (of Justice),

Arabic (from right to left):

55:7 ‫اﻟﻤ ﻴﺰان وﺿ ﻊو رﻓﻌﻬ ﺎ واﻟﺴ ﻤﺎء‬

Notice again how ‫ﻊ‬ َ‫ﺿ‬

َ ‫ َو‬wada'aa is referring to the balance of the orbital systems in the
Universe. Here, this Noble Verse is referring to the gravitational balance that keeps the
orbits of the Galaxies, their Solar Systems, their Planets and their Moon's in place, and not
falling into a massive disarray and out of order and colliding with each others on a large and
massive scale!

If we examine, for instance, our beautiful Solar System's orbital system and the balance of its
planets and their moon's around our star, the sun, and around each others (the moons orbiting
around their own planets), then we'll see the beautiful and powerful BALANCE that Allah
Almighty has put to keep us SAFE! Otherwise, our moon would've probably been the first
planet to collide with us. Notice again how ‫ﻊ‬َ‫ﺿ‬َ ‫ َو‬wada'aa here perfectly describes that balance in
our MOVING UNIVERSE! So it's the Balance in the Moving Celestial Bodies' orbits, and in
their Solar Systems' Orbits, and in their Galaxies' Orbits and so on.

As to ‫( رﻓﻌﻬ ﺎ‬rafa'aaha) in the same Noble Verse (55:7), according to

‫( اﻟﻤ ﺮﻓﻮع‬al-marfoo'aa): ‫ اﻟﺴ ﻴﺮ ارﻓ ﻊ‬he increased the speed of the walking.

‫ ﺑﻌ ﺾ‬ran a series of steps which some of them are faster than the others.

• ‫( ﻋﺪا‬aadaa): to run, speed, gallop, race, to pass, go past ([6], page 598).

‫( رﻓ ﻊ‬rafa'aa): Advancing forward.

• It is said: ‫ﻪ‬

‫( رﻓ ﻊ‬rafa'aa): Increase the speed.

• In the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him: ‫ﻓﺮﻓﻌ ﺖ ﻧ ﺎﻗﺘﻲ أي‬
‫ اﻟﻤ ﺮﻓﻮع ﻣ ﻦ اﻟﺴ ﻴﺮ‬Fa-Rafa'aa'tu my camel means caused it to increase the speed
of its walk.

‫ﺮﻓﻊ‬ ‫( ﻳ‬yarfa'aa): to walk a fixed path.

• It is said: ‫ﺮﻓﻊ و رﻓ ﻊ اﻟﺒﻌ ﻴﺮ ﻓ ﻲ اﻟﺴ ﻴﺮ‬ ‫ﻳ‬, ‫ ذاﻟ ﻚ اﻟﺴ ﻴﺮ ﻓﻬﻮ راﻓ ٌﻊ أي ﺑﺎﻟﻎ و ﺳﺎر‬and
the mule increased ‫ رﻓ ﻊ‬its walking speed of its fixed path ‫ ﻳ ﺮﻓﻊ‬....

• And the meaning for ‫ ﻳ ﺮﻓﻊ‬is ‫ ﺳ ﺎر ذاﻟ ﻚ اﻟﺴ ﻴﺮ‬continued walking down
that path.

‫( ﻣﻨ ﻪ رﻓ ﻊ‬rafa'aa minhu): ‫( ﺳ ﺎرﻩ‬saarahu) led him down the path.

‫( رﻓ ﻊ‬rafa'aa): Going in circular motions:

• ‫ راﻓﻌ ﻨﻲ و ﺧﺎﻓﻀ ﻨﻲ‬means ‫ داورﻧ ﻲ آ ﻞ ﻣ ﺪاورة‬Caused me to go in circular

motions with him. I believe this is referring to a circular motion in a real sword fight.

‫( رﻓ ﻊ‬rafa'aa): hoist up, to raise, run up, to take off, deliver, to start, initiate, pass, to boost.

So clearly, Allah Almighty Said that He has set the Universe on a moving course, and
He has put the Balance in it.
Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 27:88

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[027:088] And you will see the mountains and think them solid, but they shall pass away as the

[037:137] And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning
Sale:

[037:137] And ye, O people of Mecca, pass by the places where they once dwelt, as ye journey
in the morning,

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[037:137] Verily, you pass by them in the morning.

Palmer:

[037:137] verily, ye pass by them in the morning

Arberry:

[037:137] and you pass by them in the morning

Khalifa: (why is he here?)

[037:137] You still pass by their ruins by day.

Rodwell:

[037:137] And ye indeed pass by their ruined dwellings at morn

So why would Allah Almighty say that the mountains are moving like the
clouds?

We know that the mountains look quite fixed. Not even earth quakes can move them from their
places! So why would Allah Almighty say that they are passing like the passing of the clouds?

1- Because like in Dahaha ‫ دﺣﺎهﺎ‬and wadaAAha ‫وﺿ ﻌﻬﺎ‬, which both mean that the earth is
moving on a fixed course, tamurru marra ‫ﻣﺮ ﺗﻤ ﺮ‬, further supports this by saying that even the
heavy and fixed mountains that look idol and impossible to move, and indeed moving!

2- Like in Dahaha ‫ دﺣﺎهﺎ‬, where it means to expand, the expansion of the earth did indeed
cause, and is still causing, for the mountains to move! Not only mountains, but ENTIRE
CONTINENTS moving or drifting away from each others as the earth started to split when it
expanded. Remember that the earth used to be one jigsaw puzzle and then started to expand.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali have translated ‫ ﻣﻬﺎدا‬mihaada to mean "a wide expanse". However, in the
following Noble Verses, he translated the root word for ‫ﻣﻬﺎدا‬mihaada to mean "cradle":

Noble Verse(s) 19:29

Yet, in other Noble Verses, he translated the same exact word as "like carpet spread
out":

Noble Verse(s) 20:53

Yusuf Ali:

[020:053] "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go

Yes, ‫( ﻣﻬﺪ‬mahd) does mean to spread out. But it also means:

‫( ﻣﻬﺪ‬mahd): cradle. It is said: ‫اﻟﻤﻬ ﺪ ﻣﻦ‬ ‫اﻟﻠّﺤﺪ إﻟ ﻰ‬ from cradle to grave.

Cradle:

‫(ﻣﻬﺎد‬mahaad): bed.

Is the bed here a rocking bed or a fixed one? The following pictures about the cosmos will
clearly prove that the earth's axial tilt and rotation around the sun indeed resemble
a rocking bed:

Let us now look at our planet earth's "Axial Tilt" that makes it look like a cradle:

So indeed, the earth being a ‫( ﻣﻬﺎد‬mihaad) does mean that it is like a rocking cradle,
since its root, ‫( ﻣﻬﺪ‬mahd), means just that.

Indeed, if there was no balance in the gravitational pulls in the Universe, the earth and the

Allah Almighty's Mercy and Will that the earth's moving course in the Universe is under full
control from Allah Almighty.

The Quran on Mountains:

A book entitled Earth is a basic reference textbook in many universities around the world. One
of its two authors is Professor Emeritus Frank Press. He was the Science Advisor to former US
President Jimmy Carter, and for 12 years was the President of the National Academy of
Sciences, Washington, DC. His book says that mountains have underlying roots. [1] These roots
are deeply embedded in the ground, thus, mountains have a shape like a peg (see figures 7, 8, and
9).

Figure 7: Mountains have deep roots under the surface of the

ground. (Earth, Press and Siever, p. 413.)
Figure 8: Schematic section. The mountains, like pegs, have deep
roots embedded in the ground. (Anatomy of the Earth, Cailleux, p.
220.)

Figure 9: Another illustration shows how the mountains are peg-

like in shape, due to their deep roots. (Earth Science, Tarbuck and
Lutgens, p. 158.)

This is how the Quran has described mountains. God has said in the Quran:

Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs? (Quran,
78:6-7)

Modern earth sciences have proven that mountains have deep roots under the surface of the
ground (see figure 9) and that these roots can reach several times their elevations above the
surface of the ground. [2] So the most suitable word to describe mountains on the basis of this
information is the word ‘peg,’ since most of a properly set peg is hidden under the surface of the
ground. The history of science tells us that the theory of mountains having deep roots was
introduced only in the latter half of the nineteenth century. [3]

Mountains also play an important role in stabilizing the crust of the earth. [4] They hinder the
shaking of the earth. God has said in the Quran:
And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with
you... (Quran, 16:15)

Likewise, the modern theory of plate tectonics holds that mountains work as stabilizers for the
earth. This knowledge about the role of mountains as stabilizers for the earth has just begun to
be understood in the framework of plate tectonics since the late 1960’s. [5]

Could anyone during the time of the Prophet

Muhammad have known of the true shape of
mountains? Could anyone imagine that the solid massive
mountain which he sees before him actually extends deep
into the earth and has a root, as scientists assert? A large
number of books of geology, when discussing mountains,
only describe that part which is above the surface of the
earth. This is because these books were not written by
specialists in geology. However, modern geology has
confirmed the truth of the Quranic verses.

Higher mountains are compensated by deeper roots. (6)

The Quran says:

“ Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse And the mountains As PEGS?”

[Al-Quran 78:6-7]

Pegs have deep roots under the surface of the ground like Mountains. Thus Quran gives the
accurate example of Mountains.

My translation:
Second: The formation of milk from between FARTH and blood inside the cattle:

Milk is essentially formed from proteins, carbohydrates, fat, and many other elements, and
vitamins and water. And all of this is extracted from the animal's nutrition (food), drink and
blood, which this Noble Verse has described through Allah Almighty's Statement: "from
between FARTH ‫ ﻓ ﺮث‬and blood." And the FARTH is the substances that are eaten and are
not completely digested in the gut, and because of that it (the farth) is sometimes also called
the gut's load (food), and when it is extracted from the gut it is called ROUTH.

Dung: ‫ روث‬routh.
‫( روث‬routh): dung, droppings, to drop dung.

Article #1 (from wikipedia):

"The carbohydrate lactose gives milk its sweet taste and contributes about 40% of whole cow
milk's calories. Lactose is a composite of two simple sugars, glucose and galactose. In nature,
lactose is found only in milk and a small number of plants (McGee 17). Other components
found in raw cow milk are living white blood cells, mammary-gland cells, various bacteria,
and a large number of active enzymes (McGee 16).

"White blood cells in Milk- Milk contains varying levels of white blood cells, depending upon
the health of the source animals;....

"No study has ever conclusively demonstrated that the levels of white blood cells found in
normal milk actually pose any health risk to normal individuals. The concept of pus in one's
milk is somewhat reviling, but evidence for an impact on health is not existent....

"In addition, the cows frequently contract an udder infection known as mastitis, partly
responsible for the aforementioned prevalence of blood cells in dairy products." (Source)

Article #2:
"Milk Biosynthesis

Milk is synthesized in the mammary gland. Within the mammary gland is the milk producing
unit, the alveolus. It contains a single layer of epithelial secretory cells surrounding a central
storage area called the lumen, which is connected to a duct system. The secretory cells are, in
turn, surrounded by a layer of myoepithelial cells and blood capillaries.

Udder, Alveolus, Secretory Cell: 26 KB

The raw materials for milk production are transported via the bloodstream to the secretory cells.
It takes 400-800 L of blood to deliver components for 1 L of milk.

• Proteins: building blocks are amino acids in the blood. Casein micelles, or small
aggregates thereof, may begin aggregation in Golgi vesicles within the secretory cell.
• Lipids:
o C4-C14 fatty acids are synthesized in the cells
o C16 and greater fatty acids are preformed as a result of rumen hydrogenation and
are transported directly in the blood
• Lactose: milk is in osmotic equilibrium with the blood and is controlled by lactose, K,
Na, Cl; lactose synthesis regulates the volume of milk secreted

The milk components are synthesized within the cells, mainly by the endoplasmic reticulum
(ER) and its attached ribosomes. The energy for the ER is supplied by the mitochondria. The
components are then passed along to the Golgi apparatus, which is responsible for their
eventual movement out of the cell in the form of vesicles. Both vesicles containing aqueous non-
fat components, as well as liquid droplets (synthesized by the ER) must pass through the
cytoplasm and the apical plasma membrane to be deposited in the lumen. It is thought that the
milk fat globule membrane is comprised of the apical plasma membrane of the secretory cell.

Milking stimuli, such as a sucking calf, a warm wash cloth, the regime of parlour etc., causes the
release of a hormone called oxytocin. Oxytocin is relased from the pituitary gland, below the
brain, to begin the process of milk let-down. As a result of this hormone stimulation, the
muscles begin to compress the alveoli, causing a pressure in the udder known as letdown reflex,
and the milk components stored in the lumen are released into the duct system. The milk is
forced down into the teat cistern from which it is milked. The let-down reflex fades as the
oxytocin is degraded, within 4-7 minutes. It is very difficult to milk after this time." (Source)

‫( اﻣﺸ ﺎج‬amshaaj) means to mingle and it refers to mingling the man's and woman's nutfahs.

‫( ﻣﺸ ﺞ‬mashaja): ‫( ﺧﻠ ﻂ‬khalata) mingled.

‫( اﻣﺸ ﺎج‬amshaaj): ‫ دﻣﻬﺎ و اﻟﻤ ﺮأة ﺑﻤ ﺎء ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻄ ﺔ‬mingled with the woman's semen and blood.

Again, the Arabs had no knowledge about science. But however, as we've seen above,
NUTFAH ‫ ﻧﻄﻔ ﺔ‬means one from among a group, like a single karat from among a group of
karats, and a single drop of water from a small amount of water. This is indisputable, and
therefore, it is safe to say that when Allah Almighty said that He Created man from Nutfah,
He meant a single sperm from the flowing semen.

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 23:12-23:14

Yusuf Ali:

[023:012] Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay) a flowing liquid that is originally
created from clay;

[023:013] Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed (that's the
woman's egg);

[023:014] Then We made Created the sperm into a clot of congealed blood (that is a leech-like
substance); then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and
clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be God,
the best to create!

‫( ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ‬sulaalah) is a singular of the plurals ‫( ﺳ ﻼل‬sulaal) and/or ‫( ﺳ ﻼﻻت‬sulaalat).

‫( ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ‬sulaalah): something that is drawn out or flowing.

• ‫ اﻧ ﺘﺰاع اﻟﺸ ﺊ واﺧﺮاﺟ ﻪ ﻣ ﻦ رﻓ ﻖ‬removing something and getting it out with ease.

‫( ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ‬sulaalah): an extraction of something from its group.

• In Ziyad's Saying: ‫و ﻓ ﻲ ﺣ ﺪﻳﺚ زﻳ ﺎد‬: "ٍ‫أي ﻣﺎ اﺳﺘﺨﺮج ﻣﻦ ﻣﺎء اﻟﺜﻐﺐ و "ﺑﺴﻼﻟ ٍﺔ ﻣﻦ ﻣﺎ ٍء َﺛ ْﻐﺐ‬

‫ﺳﱠ‬

A SULAALAH ‫ ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ‬from the water of thaghab, means extracting and flowing water
from the water of thaghab. So it is removing a certain amount of water from a
body of water.

‫( ﺳ ﻞ‬sul or sal): something that is unique and different from its group.

• It is said: ‫ﺳﻞﱠ و أﺳﻠﻪ اﷲ‬

ُ ‫و ﻗﺪ‬, ‫أي ﺷ ﺎذ ﻋﻠ ﻰ ﻏ ﻴﺮ ﻗﻴ ﺎس‬,‫ﻓﻬ ﻮ ﻣﺴ ﻠﻮل‬

And he SULLA ‫ﺳﻞﱠ‬ُ and Allah Almighty had ASALLAHU ‫أﺳ ﻠﻪ‬, and then he became
MASLOOL ‫ﻣﺴ ﻠﻮل‬, which means he became SHAATH (‫ ﺷ ﺎذ‬different, unique)
beyond any measuring (QIYAAS ‫)ﻗﻴ ﺎس‬.

‫ﻞ‬ ‫( اﻟﺴﻠﺴ‬al-salsal): the pure and clear.

• ‫ب ﺗﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺤﻠﻖ‬
َ ‫ﺷ ِﺮ‬
ُ ‫اﻟﺴﻠﺴﻞ هﻮ اﻟﻤﺎء اﻟﻌﺬب اﻟﺼﺎﻓﻲ إذا‬

The SALSAL ‫ ﺳﻠﺴ ﻞ‬is the pure and clear water that is when drank, it flows smoothly in
the throat.

So it is not just any water, as the water in the desert was known to lack sanitation and
good taste due to the impurities that are mixed with it, but rather, it is the BEST
AND CLEAREST OF THE WATER!

‫( ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ‬sulaalah): descendant, progeny, offspring, race.

‫( ﺳ ﻞ‬sul or sal): to advance singly or in small groups, and as I mentioned, it is a
singular of the plurals sulaal ‫ ﺳ ﻼل‬and/or ‫( ﺳ ﻼﻻت‬sulaalat).

• This is further proven in Noble Verse 32:8 by Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation and
other translations:

Noble Verse(s) 32:8

Yusuf Ali:

[032:008] And made his progeny from a quintessence of the

nature of a fluid despised:

Transliteration:

Arabic (from right to left):

32:8 ‫ﻣﻬﻴ ﻦ ﻣﺎء ﻣﻦ ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ ﻣﻦ ﻧﺴ ﻠﻪ ﺟﻌ ﻞ ﺛ ﻢ‬

According to

1. Al-Mawrid dictionary English-Arabic section [4], Page 751.

Quintessence: ‫( ﺟﻮهﺮ‬the pearl of something, or the best of something), ‫ﺧﻼﺻ ﺔ‬

(a summary of something, or the BEST OF SOMETHING), ‫( ﻣﺜ ﺎل‬a sample, or a
leading example).

According to http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Quintessence, quintessence means:

1. the pure and concentrated essence of a substance.

2. the most perfect embodiment of something.
3. the pure, highly concentrated essence of a thing.
4. the purest or most typical instance.
5. an extract from anything, containing its rarest virtue, or most subtle and
essential constituent in a small quantity; pure or concentrated essence.
Remember again that ‫( ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ‬sulaalah) is a singular of the plurals ‫( ﺳ ﻼل‬sulaal) and/or
‫( ﺳ ﻼﻻت‬sulaalat).

Notice the Miraculous Beauty of Allah Almighty's Holy Words:

1- Man is created and determined from a single flowing ‫ﺳ ﻼﻟﺔ‬, that is the SPERM.

2- Then Allah Almighty Made man a MINGLED NUTFAH (SPERM...‫)اﻣﺸ ﺎج ﻧﻄﻔ ﺔ‬, which
is a mingled, single, stationed and secured SPERM inside the egg (‫ﻗ ﺮار ﻓ ﻲ ﻧﻄﻔ ﺔ ﺟﻌﻠﻨ ﺎﻩ ﺛ ﻢ‬
‫ ;)ﻣﻜﻴ ﻦ‬m-‫ ﻣﻜﻴ ﻦ ﻗ ﺮار‬is the female's protected and protective BASE (i.e., egg).

3- Then after that, Allah Almighty Created the NUTFAH into an AALAQA (a sucking clot
substance that looks like a leech).

4- And then the alaqa was Created into a lump (mudgha....‫)ﻣﻀ ﻐﺔ‬.

5- Then the lump was Created into bones, and then the bones were covered with flesh, and then
Allah Almighty ‫ اﺧﺮ ﺧﻠﻘ ﺎ اﻧﺸ ﺎﻧﺎﻩ‬built him into a different creation.

‫( ﻋﻠﻘ ﺔ‬aalaqa) means a clot and a leech-like substance.

‫( ﻋﻠ ﻖ‬aalaq): ‫ ﻓﻴ ﻪ ﻧﺸ ﺐ‬clinged on it or stuck to it.

• ‫ ﻓﻌﻠﻘ ﺖ اﻻﻋ ﺮاب ﺑ ﻪ اي ﻧﺸ ﺒﻮا وﺗﻌﻠﻘ ﻮا‬:‫ وﻓ ﻲ اﻟﺤ ﺪﻳﺚ‬and in the saying: 'the

lice or leech or anything else).

• ‫ واﻟﻌﻠ ﻖ ﻓ ﻲ اﻟﺜ ﻮب ﻣ ﺎ ﻋﻠ ﻖ ﺑ ﻪ‬the aaliqa ‫ ﻋﻠ ﻖ‬of the dress is what clinged on it.

Leech: ‫ﻋﻠﻘ ﺔ‬

• ‫ج دﻣ ًﺎ ﺑﻮاﺳﻄﺔ ﻋﻠﻘﺔ‬
ُ ‫ ﻳﺴﺘﺨ ِﺮ‬extracts blood using the leech.

‫( ﻋﻠ ﻖ‬aalaq): ‫اﻟﻌﻠ ﻖ دودة‬ (doodat al-aalaq) the leech worm.

‫( ﻋﻠ ﻖ‬aalaq): to hang, to be suspended, dangle, to stick, CLING, cleave, get caught or
stuck, to be attached, leech, blood clot.
‫( ﻋﻠﻴ ﻖ‬aaleeq): twining and creeping plants or shrubs (of various
kinds).

‫( ﻋﻼﻗ ﺔ‬aalaaqa): bond, relation, affiliation, association, connection.

The fetus when he is a Aalaq ‫ ﻋﻠ ﻖ‬, he is
1- Clinging inside his mother's womb.
2- He is sucking blood from the
mother's womb like a leech.
3- He is a blood clot!

Aalaq ‫ ﻋﻠ ﻖ‬means all of these.

Also, back to the Noble Word, LUMP (Mudgha ‫) ﻣﻀ ﻐﺔ‬, there is a Divine Miracle regarding
it. According to

‫ﻳﻮﻣ ﺎ ﻋﻠﻘ ﻪ ﺛ ﻢ ارﺑﻌﻴ ﻦ ﻳﻮﻣ ﺎ ﻣﻀ ﻐﻪ ﺛ ﻢ ﻳﺒﻌ ﺚ اﷲ اﻟﻴ ﻪ اﻟﻤﻠ ﻚ‬

And in the Hadith (Saying) of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him: "When one of
you was created in his mother's womb, he as a NUTFAH ‫ ﻧﻄﻔ ﻪ‬for 40 days, then became
for 40 days a Aalaqa ‫ ﻋﻠﻘ ﻪ‬, then became for 40 days Mudgha ‫ﻣﻀ ﻐﻪ‬, then Allah
Almighty Sent to him the Angel (of Life to blow Life in him as stated in Noble Verse
32:9):

"But He fashioned him (man) in due proportion, and breathed into him something of
His Spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and
understanding): little thanks do ye give! (The Noble Quran, 32:9)"

The Prophet's Hadith is also found in Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Number
549 and Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 77, Number 593.

The Hadiths clearly claim that after the first 120 days of
the Fetus formation, Allah Almighty blows from His
Spirit into it.

Week 18 (I.e 120 days)

The lanugo covers the entire body. Eyebrows, eyelashes, fingernails, and
toenails appear. The fetus has increased muscle development. Alveoli (air
sacs) are forming in lungs. The nervous system develops enough to control
some body functions. The cochlea are now developed, though the myelin
sheaths in the neural portion of the auditory system will continue to develop until
18 months after birth. The respiratory system has developed to the point where
gas exchange is possible.

‫( ﻣ ﻨﻲ‬mani) and ‫( ﻳﻤ ﻨﻰ‬yamnaa) are derived from ‫( ﻣﻦ‬man), and they mean:

‫( ﻣ ﻨﻲ‬mani) means semen, and ‫( ﻳﻤ ﻨﻰ‬yamnaa) means to eject.

‫أي اﺳﺘﺪﻋﻰ ﺧﺮوج اﻟﻤﻨ ﱢ‬.

And concerning Allah Almighty's Revelation "‫"ﻣ ﻦ ﻣ ﻨﻲ ﻳﻤ ﻨﻰ‬, it is said the man has
MANA ‫ ﻣ ﻨﻰ‬which means that he has ejected semen. And istamna ‫ اﺳ ﺘﻤﻨﻰ‬means
‫ﻲ‬
‫ اﺳﺘﺪﻋﻰ ﺧﺮوج اﻟﻤﻨ ﱢ‬he ejeculated the semen.

‫( ﻣ ﻨﻲ‬mani): ‫( اﻟﺸ ﻲء ﺿ ﺮب‬darbu al-shaya') striking something or stabbing something.

• ‫ﺮب اﻹﺳ ﺘﻤﻨﺎء أن ﻳ ﺄﺗﻲ ﺻ ﺎﺣﺒﻬﺎ‬ ‫ﻳﻨﻘ ﺮ ﺑﻬ ﺎ ﺑﻴ ﺪﻩ ﻋﻠ ﻰ ﺻ ﻼهﺎ و ﻓﻴﻀ‬

The istimnaaa' ‫ إﺳ ﺘﻤﻨﺎء‬is when the owner strikes with his hand on its salaaha
(vagina, ‫ )ﺻ ﻼهﺎ‬and continues to penetrate it (‫)ﻳﻨﻘ ﺮ ﺑﻬ ﺎ‬.
‫( ﻳﻤﺘ ﻨﻰ‬yumtana): ‫ب‬
ْ ‫ﻀ َﺮ‬
ْ ‫( ُﻳ‬yudrab) is stricken; is penetrated; is stricken with
penetration.

• ‫ ﻟ ﻢ‬:‫ف و ﻗﻮﻟ ﻪ‬

And in his poem, don't be disgusted from what is yumtana ‫ ُﻳ ْﻤﺘَﻨﻰ‬to it, meaning (‫)أي‬

into the animal's vagina) ‫ﺖ‬ ْ ‫ﺿ ِﺮ َﺑ‬
ُ to determine if it were fertilized or not (‫أﻻﻗ ﺢ أم‬
‫) ﻻ‬.

In Arabic, daraba ‫ ﺿ ﺮب‬, which is what ‫ﺖ‬

ْ ‫ﺿ ِﺮ َﺑ‬
ُ is derived from, means to strike, to beat
among other meanings.

According to Arabic-English dictionary the Hans Wehr dictionary [6], Page 538:

‫( ﺿ ﺮب‬daraba): to beat, strike, hit.

Clearly, the context of yumtana ‫ﻨﻰ‬ ‫ ﻳﻤﺘ‬here means to be stricken by

penetration.

‫( ﻣ ﻨﻰ‬mana): ‫ ﻗﻄﻌ ﻪ أي اﻟﺸ ﻲء ﻣ ﻨﻰ‬He MANA (‫ )ﻣ ﻨﻰ‬something, means that he

cut it (‫)ﻗﻄﻌ ﻪ‬.
‫ﻲ‬
َ ‫( ُﻣ ِﻨ‬muniya): ‫( أُﺻﻴﺐ‬o'seeba) to be afflicted with, hit by, stricken by, attacked by, smitten by.

‫ﻲ‬
َ ‫( ُﻣ ِﻨ‬muniya): to be afflicted with, hit by, stricken by, attacked by, smitten by, affected by, to
suffer, sustain, undergo, experience.

‫( ﻣ ﻨﻰ‬mana): hit, stricken, smitten, emit, to be afflicted, semen, sperm.

So when Allah Almighty Said:
[053:046] From a sperm drop that is emitted and is penetrating;

53:46 ‫ﺗﻤ ﻨﻰ اذا ﻧﻄﻔ ﺔ ﻣﻦ‬

[075:037] Was he not a drop of fluid, emitted forth and is penetrating?

75:37 ‫ﻳﻤ ﻨﻰ ﻣ ﻨﻲ ﻣﻦ ﻧﻄﻔ ﺔ ﻳ ﻚ اﻟ ﻢ‬

Allah Almighty Had Spoken a Divine Statement that is today in perfect agreement with Science!
Indeed, the male's NUTFAH (sperm) strikes the female's egg with penetration. The NUTFAH is
indeed a penetrating one that "strikes" and "cuts" through the egg to make fertilization. That is
why Allah Allah Almighty in both Noble Verses, 53:45, 75:39, talked about the formation of
both sexes: the male and the female, and said that it is the "penetrating," "striking," "cutting,"
(‫ )ﻳﻤ ﻨﻰ‬NUTFAH (‫ﻧﻄﻔ ﺔ‬, sperm) that determines them.

We're already seen above that MANA (‫ )ﻣ ﻨﻰ‬directly and literally means to strike, cut, and
penetrate.

The three Veils of darkness and Stages of the

fetus' development:
Noble Verse(s) 39:6
Yusuf Ali:
[039:006] He created you (all) from a single person: then created, of like nature, his mate; and
he sent down for you eight head of cattle in pairs: He makes Creates you, in the wombs of your
mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness. such is God, your Lord and
Cherisher: to Him belongs (all) dominion. There is no god but He: then how are ye turned away
(from your true Centre)?

Arabic (from right to left):

39:6 ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ازواج ﺛﻤﺎﻧﻴ ﺔ اﻻﻧﻌ ﺎم ﻣﻦ ﻟﻜ ﻢ واﻧ ﺰل زوﺟﻬﺎ ﻣﻨﻬﺎ ﺟﻌ ﻞ ﺛ ﻢ واﺣﺪة ﻧﻔ ﺲ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻠﻘﻜ‬

‫ﺗﺼ ﺮﻓﻮن ﻓ ﺎﻧﻰ هﻮ اﻻ ﻻاﻟ ﻪ اﻟﻤﻠ ﻚ‬

According to Prof. Keith Moore these three veils of darkness in the QUR'AN refer to

1- Anterior abdominal wall of the mother.

2- The uterine wall.

3- The amnio-chorionoic membrane.

Also, in the field of Embryology, it is stated that the fetus goes through three distinct
developmental stages in his mother's womb:

1- Pre-Embryonic, first 2 1/2 weeks.

2- Embryonic, until the end of the 8th week.

3- Fetal, from the 8th week to labor.

The Furaa' said that in Allah Almighty's Noble Verse " ‫ﻴﻪ‬ ‫ﻔﻌﻦ ﺑﺎﻟﻨﺎﺻ‬ ‫( "ﻟﻨﺴ‬we will
certainly smite his forehead), ‫ ﻧﺎﺻ ﻴﺘﻪ‬HIS NAASIYAH is the forehead.

• ‫ﻗ ﺎل اﻻزه ﺮي‬: ‫اﻟﻨﺎﺻ ﻴﻪ ﻋﻨ ﺪ اﻟﻌ ﺮب ﻣﻨﺒ ﺖ اﻟﺸ ﻌﺮ ﻓ ﻲ ﻣﻘﺪﻣ ﻪ اﻟ ﺮاس‬

The Azhari said: THE NAASIYAH ‫ اﻟﻨﺎﺻ ﻴﻪ‬to the Arabs (of old) is the place where
the hair grows on the beginning of the head (i.e., the forehead).
Figure 12: Functional regions of the left hemisphere of the cerebral
cortex. The prefrontal area is located at the front of the cerebral
cortex. (Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology, Seeley and others, p. 210.)

Why did the Quran describe the front of the head as being lying and sinful? Why didn’t the
Quran say that the person was lying and sinful? What is the relationship between the front of the
head and lying and sinfulness?

If we look into the skull at the front of the head, we will find the prefrontal area of the
cerebrum (see figure 12). What does physiology tell us about the function of this area? A book
entitled Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology says about this area, “The motivation and the
foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion of the frontal lobes, the
prefrontal area. This is a region of association cortex...” [1] Also the book says, “In relation to
its involvement in motivation, the prefrontal area is also thought to be the functional center
for aggression....” [2]

So, this area of the cerebrum is responsible for planning, motivating, and initiating good and
sinful behavior and is responsible for the telling of lies and the speaking of truth. Thus, it is
proper to describe the front of the head as lying and sinful when someone lies or commits a sin,
as the Quran has said, “...A lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)!”

Scientists have only discovered these functions of the prefrontal area in the last sixty years,
according to Professor Keith L. Moore. [3]

5- Numerical Miracles in the Holy Quran:

Odd and Even Numerical Miracle in the Holy Quran. A very STUNNING Divine
Miracle!!!

Iron's atomic number is perfectly mentioned in the Holy Quran.

6- So why didn't the early Muslims

interpret the Holy Quran with these
meanings then??
Well, the answer to this question is actually very simple. Were the early Muslims, whose the
vast majority of them were illiterate Farmers, Sheppards and Bedouins, Scientists? How could
they have possibly comprehended that, for instance, as you are standing on earth right now, you
are actually not standing ON EARTH, but rather on the side of the earth, and that under your
feet, on the opposite side of the world, there are people who are standing like you and opposite of
you, and they are under you and you are under them? And yet, none of you just slips off or falls
off into space. How could've that been comprehensible to them?

How could you possibly have convinced them of something like this? It's impossible! Heck,
even until Christopher Columbus discovered the United States of America, only few centuries
ago, the vast majority of the world still believed that the earth was flat. I personally strongly
believe that even Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, didn't fully understand what was
really revealed to him from Science and Divine Miracles. Again, the choice of these Words is
Miraculous indeed. Allah Almighty could've used more straight forward words with limited
meanings. The sample Holy Verses above were simply Revealed for us today, to discover, and
to ponder upon with amazement. As Allah Almighty clearly Said in the Holy Quran:

"We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will
become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a
witness over all things? (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"
