CIVIL PENSION
A Central Pension Accounting Office has been established with effect from 1st January, 1990 for payment
of Central (Civil) Pensions and Pension to Freedom Fighters, etc. and the accountal thereof. With the
establishment of the Central Pension Accounting Office, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India has
been relieved of the responsibility of compiling and accountal of Central (Civil) Pensions and Pensions to
Freedom Fighters from the financial year 1990-91 as indicated in Annexure A
7.2 APPLICABILITY OF PENSION RULES
7.2.1 The pension rules applicable to the various categories of pensioners will be as under:-
