ENGLISH
1. Read any two English newspapers regularly and collect 10 articles related to the theme
of Education, Environment and Current events / Happenings.
a. Education: Cut and paste related articles and frame 10 questions from each
article and also write their answers.
b. Environment: Cut and paste related articles and make note making of the same
using proper Abbreviations and summary.
c. Current Events / Happenings: Cut and paste related articles and frame 10
sentences from each by selecting 10 difficult vocabulary words (each article)
along with their meanings.
Above mentioned work should be done on A4 sized sheets and to be kept in a separate
folder. Also thoroughly read all the chapters and poems so far done from both Hornbill
and Snapshot and revise the syllabus thoroughly.
PHYSICS
1. Make an investigatory project on any one of the following topics:
a. Thermodynamics
b. Waves and Oscillations
c. Mechanics
CHEMISTRY
1. Suggested Investigatory projects:
a. Analysis of vegetables and fruit juice.
b. Study of adulterants in sugar or adulterant in fat, oil and butter.
c. Study the foaming capacity of soaps.
d. Analysis of hard water.
e. Study the rate of evaporation of water, acetone and dimethyether.
Make a project file on any one of the suggested topic of the investigatory project.
BIOLOGY
1. Make a investigatory project file and CD on any of the project. Take a topic from the
Comprehensive Laboratory manual of Biology of Class XI.
MATHEMATICS

2. Make a project on Accounting & Its Principles. Explain concepts using examples. The

principles, all accounting standards, IFRS used in accounting.
3. To be done in notebook:
Aditya started a business for buying and selling of stationary with `5,00,000 as an initial
investment of which he paid `1,00,000 for furniture, `2,00,000 for buying stationary
items. He employed a sales person and clerk. At the end of the month he paid `5,000 as
their salaries. Out of the stationary bought he sold some stationary for `1,50,000 for
cash and some other stationary for `1,00,000 on credit basis to Mr. Rahul subsequently
he bought stationary items of `1,50,000 from Mr. Peace. In the first week of the next
month these was an accident and he lost `30,000 worth of stationary. A part of the
machinery which cost `40,000 was sold for `45,000.

changes in economy. Paste any 5 cut outs from newspapers on changes in economic scenario
in your notebook. Write an inference from those economics changes along with cut outs

3. Revise the syllabus done so far in the class.
BUSINESS STUDIES
1. Prepare a PPT on Life Sketch of 5 main industrialist of India (like Ambanis, JRD Tata etc.)
2. Make a project making a comparison between small business and MNCs. Refer to
Chapter 8 and Chapter 3 of your Business studies book. List some MNCs and compare
its growth process with small business houses.
3. Revise the syllabus done so far in the class.
POLITICAL SCIENCE
1. What is the significance of January 26 in Indias struggle for Independence?
2. What are the fundamental duties of citizens of India?
3. Why do we need Rights in a constitution?
4. The Indian constitution is a beautifully balanced document. Comment.
5. Explain Direct and Indirect democracy.
