AN ACT
PROVI)IN- FOR THE CONSERVATION. PROTECTION
AN) PRESERVATION OF AETA VI//A-ES OF 0A,&A/ES
SECTION 1. This Act shall be known as the National Conservation,
Protection and Preservation of Aeta illa!es of "a#bales Act of $%1$&.
SECTION $. It is a declared 'olic( of the state to inc)lcate, 'ro'a!ate,
enco)ra!e, 'rotect and 'reserve o)r c)lt)re, c)sto#s, traditions and
identit( as *ili'inos. The state shall !ive )t#ost 'riorit( to the
'ro#otion, 'rotection and 'reservation of Indi!eno)s Peo'le and their
co##)nities aro)nd the co)ntr(.
SECTION +. The Aeta illa!es of "a#bales, bein! a 'art of the
co##)nities of Indi!eno)s Peo'le, and o)r co)ntr(,s rich histor(, are
hereb( conserved, 'rotected and 'reserved. Their 'rotection and
'reservation, incl)din! safe!)ardin! their ri!hts, c)sto#s, traditions,
'ractices, and beliefs shall be observed in the hi!hest order thro)!h
the ado'tion of a law. The National -overn#ent shall 'ro#)l!ate the
necessar( r)les and re!)lations to carr( o)t the 'rovisions of this Act.
SECTION .. The 'rotection and 'reservation of the Aeta co##)nities
of "a#bales, alon! with their ri!hts, c)sto#s, traditions, beliefs and
histor( shall be incl)ded in the c)rric)l)# of the ele#entar( and
secondar( schools. The /e'art#ent of Ed)cation shall likewise
'ro#)l!ate r)les and re!)lations to carr( o)t the 'rovisions of this Act.
SECTION 0. An( 'rovision of law, decree, e1ec)tive order, r)le or
re!)lation in con2ict or inconsistent with the 'rovisions and3or
')r'oses of this Act is hereb( re'ealed, a#ended or #odi4ed
accordin!l(.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take e6ect 4fteen 7108 da(s after its
co#'lete ')blication in the O9cial -a:ette or in at least two 7$8
news'a'ers of !eneral circ)lation.
