General Information OIC International Mission The mission of OIC International is to improve the quality of life of low-income, disadvantaged individuals in developing countries through sustainable human resource development. OICIs wor! around the world has focused on training the least- educated, most socially and economically underprivileged youth and adults, increasing their incomes, and turning them into productive employable or self-employed members of their communities. Staff OIC International currently has "# full-time staff on its headquarters payroll. $rograms in Guinea have a staff of #%, programs in &igeria have '", and programs in Ghana have almost %((. The balance of our programs are e)ecuted by contractors and &GO partners as described below. OIC International has a volunteer *oard of +irectors with a current membership of eight. ,e have hundreds of additional program volunteers who perform services for periods ranging from a few wee!s to many months. 2gribusiness in 1ustainable &atural 2frican $lant $roducts 421&2$$5 21&2$$ is wor!ing in Ghana to help create and develop successful 2frican agribusinesses in the natural plant products sector. 21&2$$ is hosting /armer-to-/armer volunteers so that :erbs;7edicinal $lant 1pecialists can assist beneficiaries by introducing them to herb varieties, uses, transformation of herbs, and the promotion and sales strategies of medicinal products.

C238 hosts OICI /armer-to-/armer volunteers for its initiatives that aim to improve the mar!eting and production of farm products. Catholic 3elief 1ervices 4C315 C31 is currently helping to construct borehole wells as part of OICI9s Ghana 8nhance food security initiative< borehole wells are instrumental in bringing clean water to rural communities. C31 is also helping to develop :I6;2I+1 care guides for OICI9s Ghana :O$8 initiative.
Counterpart International Counterpart International is providing !ey medical e)pertise in helping to implement the maternal and child nutrition component of OICI9s Ghana 8nhance food security initiative.
8nterprise,or!s;6ita 8nterprise,or!s;6ita is providing its !ey technical assistance in implementing the microirrigation component of OICI9s Ghana 8nhance food security initiative. 7icroirrigation brings irrigation technology to farmers who would typically not have the capacity to access irrigation technologies 4such as subsistence farmers5.
:eifer International :eifer International is helping to integrate improved livestoc! breeds into local farming systems for OICI9s Ghana 8nhance food security initiative. The organi.ation is also helping to distribute vitamin 2 tablets along with deworming medication for a component of OICI9s Guinea /ood = 0ivelihood 1ecurity pro-ect. 082$ 2frica 082$ is an international &GO headquartered in 0agos, &igeria that equips youth with leadership s!ills. 082$ has helped to train staff involved in OICI9s &igeria >O*1 program, and has also provided s!ills and health leadership training to ?(( youth enrolled in OICI9s program.
