CHAPTER II ALTERNATIVE COURSES OF ACTION
A. Alternative Courses of Action (ACA)
State all the ACA identified (at least three). Give an introductory statement first
ACA 1: xxx ACA 2: xxx ACA 3: xxx
Every ACA must be independent from each other (mutually exclusive) Every ACA can solve the problem without the help of the other ACA
Describe each ACA
Clear statement of the ideals and values being adopted Justification of these positions based on their relevance to the particular problem Show mechanics what to do, how to go about, who are involved Consequences, intended and unintended, of each alternative (who would be affected, what costs might be incurred and by whom, what benefits might be realized)
Use any or all of these approaches to gauge the alternatives:
advantages and disadvantages strengths and weaknesses
C. The Chosen Course of Action
Discussion/explanation of the chosen solution Mechanics of the chosen solution; what, how, when, where to implement it
D. Action Plan of the chosen course of action
Objectives Activity Strategies KRA Performance Indicator Timeline Resources/Budget Responsible Person
