BASIC EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USING IN PLUMBING

WORKSHOP

1. RATCHET TUBE AND PIPE CUTTER

Cut PVC Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass and Aluminum 5 degrees of ratcheting = 36" degrees of
cutting. Great for use in tight spaces and on installed pipes. One-hand operation Cutting capacity
1/8" to 1-1/8" tubing Durable and lightweight 36" degrees of cutting action Ideal for thin-wall
tubing and conduit

2.PVC RATCHET CUTTER

Heavy Duty Pipe and Hose Cutter slices through tough PVC, PE and ABS pipe up to 2" in
diameter. The Cutter's 12" handles provide maximum leverage and allow you to apply heavy
pressure to the cutting material. The unique five-click ratcheting system amplifies your arm
strength for faster, cleaner cuts.

3.INTERNAL PIPE WRENCHES

Designed to rescue HVAC and plumbing professionals from broken pipe threads, plugs and
fittings. The machined, heat-treated cams grab on to broken pipe fragments that have become
lodged inside other pipe. The hex-shaped bodies are made from alloy steel and can be used with
open- or closed-ended wrenches. Our Professional Series Wrenches conform to government
specifications for size and weight.

4. 5 PIECE PIPE EXTRACTOR SET

Economical way of removing broken iron pipe nipples from fittings and inside other pipe. The
tapered design allows for a snug fit and the hex-shaped head can be turned with an adjustable
wrench. Reverse flutes on the body grab hold of the pipe to break it free from the rusted or
frozen fitting. Made from heat-treated steel.

5. HACKSAW
Used to cut steel and other metals. It can also be used to cut plastics, although it is not normally
used to cut woods. It is sometimes called an adjustable hacksaw because the length of the frame
can be altered to hold blades of different sizes. Blades are supplied in two lengths, 250mm and
300mm. If the adjusting screw is unscrewed, the frame can be pushed into the handle so that the
smaller blades fit the hacksaw.

Blades are also described by the number of teeth per inch (TPI). Blades have 14, 18, 24, 32 teeth
per 25mm (inch). A blade with 14 TPI is coarse whilst a blade with 32 TPI is very fine.
