Objective
TABLE OF CONTENTS
The project is concerned with development of database system for Fidam Montessori
School whose main modules are students, courses, and teachers records. The basic
modules for this system are explained as under:
Student Records:
The system maintains the records of all the students of different classes as it contains the
related information about any student like student name, age, date of birth, class level,
attendance, grades, health, and also the address and contact number of the student. This
system also gives information of the subjects taken by every student.
Teachers Records:
This system maintains the records of all the teachers of the institution. Teacher records
include name, date of birth, contact number and address of the teacher. This system also
maintains the subjects which are taught by these teachers.
Courses Records:
This system also maintains the records of all the courses which are offered by the Fidam
Montessori School to al the students, and also maintains that which teacher is taking
those courses.

Following are some of the main problems faced by the data entry operators of the Fidam
Montessori School because of the manual setup;
All calculations are done manually
Spends a lot of time to find a particular record
There is no security of data because any one can access data
The existing system is not reliable
A lot of stationery, time and manpower are consumed

The main objectives of the Student Information System of Fidam Montessori School are
as follows;
To maintain the accurate and complete records for students grades, attendance,
health and other information
To accurately maintain records of the teachers according to courses taught by
them
To avoid duplication of records
To easily manipulate data.
OBJECTIVES
The proposed system is mainly based on the purpose of giving a more sophisticated
convenient to the administration so that they can work with the software easily and
conveniently.
Database contains all the information about the records
Only the authorized person will be able to access these records
Records will be accessible at any time you want
Search facility for any kind of record
Deletion and modification of the existing records will be allowed to the
authorized person
This system is easy to implement
This system is more efficient
This system is easy to operate
It is user friendly

This system does not have any extra technical requirement, so the project is technically
feasible.
The proposed system is operationally feasible because it is efficient, accurate and reliable
and provides more facilities than the manual system. This system is efficient and saves
time. The proposed system is user friendly and easy to understand so an average person
will be able to understand and use this system easily after short training. No high
computer knowledge will be required for it.

When we will run this Student Information System, this window will appear showing the
MAIN PAGE of the software.

To enter the data of students click on the NEW tab, this will open a blank form for data
entry.Enter the personal information of the students in particular fields one by one.

After entering the data of all students, click on LIST tab.This will show the list of all
the students entered.

To enter the attendance of students click ATTENDENCE tab and enter the attendance of
student for each month

To allocate grades of the students click on GRADES tab, this will open a form for
entering grades of a student

To keep a check on health of students, click HEALTH tab, a form for maintaining health
record will be shown. Fill the form for each student one by one.

Click NOTES tab, and fill information about students discipline and behavior.

To enter the record of courses taken by the student, click COURSES tab and then click
NEW, this will open a blank form for filling up information about courses taken by the
students. Enter the data for a course, and then again click NEW tab to enter the data for
another course taken by same student. To enter the data for another student whose record
has already been entered, click SEARCH and search the record of that student and when
his/her information is shown then click COURSES and enter course information.

To enter the record of teachers of the institution, click TEACHERS tab and then click
NEW which will open a form for entering teachers data. Enter the data of teacher and
also enter the courses taught by that teacher. After entering the record of one teacher, c
lick on NEW tab and again enter the data for another teacher and so on. To view list o f
teachers click on LIST tab.

To search the record of a particular teacher click on SEARCH tab and enter the name of
the teacher that you want to search. This will open the details of that teacher. Similarly, to
search for student, click on STUDENTS tab and then click SEARCH tab.
