Commission, 2005 on Special Pays to Typists/Stenographers and Typist-cum-Assistants
in Secretariat - Orders - Issued.

ORDER:
According to the Government Orders first read above, Special Pays are
admissible to Typists/Stenographers at different rates specified therein depending upon
their technical qualifications.
2. In the Government Order second read above, orders were issued based on the
recommendations of the Anomalies Committee.
3. In the Government Order third read above, based on the recommendations of the
Pay Revision Commission 2005, orders were issued implementing the Revised Pay Scales
2005.
4. The Pay Revision Commission 2005, in its report on Special Pays, has
recommended enhancement of the existing rates of Special Pays to
Typists/Stenographers.
5. The recommendations of the Pay Revision Commission 2005, have been
accepted by Government. Accordingly Government have decided and hereby
sanction revised rates of pecial Pay for possession or ac!"isition and "se of
Type#riting, horthand and $igh peed in horthand in %nglish, Tel"g" and &rd" as
indicated in the Anne'"re to this order, in s"percession of the earlier orders. These
orders are applicable to Typists, Typist(C"m(Assistants in ecretariat, tenographers,
)"nior tenographers, enior tenographers, pecial Category tenographers,
Personal Assistants, Private Secretaries to Chief Secretary to Government/ Principal
Secretaries to Government/Secretaries to Government; Reporters of Legislature,
Reporters of Shorthand Bureau of Police Intelligence Department and Court Masters of
High Court / Lok-Ayukta/ Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal who are at present
in receipt of Special Pays.

6. The drawal of this Special Pay in respect of the above employees who are
qualified in Telugu and Urdu Typewriting and or Shorthand in addition to English
Typewriting and Shorthand will be subject to the condition that they should have passed
the examination conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training or by
any appropriate authority recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
7. These orders shall come into force with effect from the date of issue of this G.O.
8. Necessary amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Manual of Special Pays and
Allowances will be issued in due course.
