Leon Suseran: The rights of our LGBT community are under threat from the remarks made by Rev Mc

Garrell and Bishop Edghill?

SN published a letter by Leon Suseran captioned The rights of our LGBT community are under threat
from the remarks made by Rev Mc Garrell and Bishop Edghill
(http://www.stabroeknews.com/2014/opinion/letters/06/26/rights-lgbt-community-threat-remarks-
made-rev-mc-garrell-bishop-edghill/ )
After hours of waiting for moderation and approval, the Editors of Stabroek News have apparently
decided not to publish the following response to their website. We will now send it as a letter to the
paper itself. We have spoken to Stabroek News about its apparent bias before, but this is ridiculous!
Dear Editor,
Leon Suseran inserts his brand of intellectual skullduggery into the debate. However, we MUST move
from skullduggery to sound analysis on this vexing issue!

Christians have always found comfort in providing the fact, truth, detail and evidence that Guyana and
Guyanese need to make responsible and informed decisions.

The American Ambassador, and the Administration whose policy he represents, must now ponder the
consequences of NOT advocating in similar vein for (American) Dr. Charles Socarides' counter-
indictment "Sexual Politics and Scientific Logic: The Issue of Homosexuality" (
http://www.kidhistory.org/homopolo.html ) in their blind, nave and reckless effort to justify and
export the "LGBT lifestyle" to a querulous world. If the grim detail of the September-2010 report by the
Centers for Disease Control ( "CDC Fact Sheet: HIV and AIDS among Gay and Bisexual Men");
http://www.torahdec.org/Downloads/FastFacts-MSM-FINAL508COMP.pdf ) will not inform the
Ambassador's comments, then the sobering reality of the refrain "... you can fool some of the people
some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the
time ..." must temper his uninformed zeal.

How much more so should Kathleen Melonakos' "Why Isn't Homosexuality Considered a Disorder on the
Basis of its Medical Consequences?" ( http://www.lifesitenews.com/resources/why-isnt-homosexuality-
considered-a-disorder-on-the-basis-of-its-medical-co ).

Predictably, the Ambassador ... like Mr. Suseran ... will not address these facts anytime soon! And that is
... scary! The art of diplomacy should not degenerate to the art of the ... con!

Why do Guyanas Christians ... and law-abiding citizens generally ... HAVE to oppose Leon Suseran, sasod
and "gay rights" generally?

The bottom line is ... homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality and transsexualism (constituting the
"community" that defines the LGBT movement) are the ONLY psycho-sexual disorders or pathologies so
diagnosed that see as their inevitable and non-negotiable ends the destruction of key creation-
structures in the Christian world-view ... manhood, womanhood, sex, family, marriage, fact, truth, detail
evidence, logic!

How significant is this?

Simply put, the existence/celebration of the one means the nullification of the other!

So ... just how comfortable are Christians in Guyana with being "told" by Leon Suseran what their roles
are relative to their very survival? Perhaps Melanie Phillips' article "How Britain is Turning Christianity
into a Crime" (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-404052/How-Britain-turning-Christianity-
crime.html ) will answer that question.

Sound public policy obviously lies in medical/psychiatric/spiritual treatment, healing, recovery ... and the
eradication of the "LGBT-pathologies" considered by its victims as "essential to their well-being".

Dr. Jeffrey Satinover in "Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth" referred to Suseran's, and the
Ambassador's, refusal to attend to the evidence as "... denial so intense that self-examination is entirely
precluded ..."!
Yours faithfully,
Roger Williams
