EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Innovation and out of the box thinking are the buzzwords that will help
propel the Indian music industry to pinnacles of success. This was the
essence of the range of panel discussions that marked the landmark day
long conference Nokia Music Connects.
"Music Connects" is a venture between Music Matters, Hong Kong and
leading Indian media company Indiantelevision.coms radioandmusic.com to
create an annual gathering of the Indian Music business professionals
which was held at Taj Lands End Mumbai on 26th August. The phenomenal
success of Indian first conference dedicated to the business of music
surprised our own expectations and is demonstrated in the numbers:

The meet and greet VIP reception welcomed all the speakers and VIP
guests to Mumbai! Amazing live performance from legendary "THE
MATRIX, by Louiz Banks launched the event!
NOKIA MUSIC CONNECTS LIVE MUSIC SHOWCASE
Four Indian bands entertained delegates with a diverse array of up and
coming talents from different parts of the country: Advaita, Swarathma (with
a memorable impromptu performance from Rabbi Shergill), D Major and the
gorgeous Sona Mohapatra. The showcase party closed with everyone on
the dance floor after midnight!
