Secretary, Jan Cranney, read the May 19, 2014 minutes. Minutes were amended to include Paul Nolan
stated that for every five households that donate $20 (totaling $100) he would match with a personal
donation of $100 to be used for repairs at Grove Beach.

Motion made by Rita Williams, seconded by Lou Vanasse to accept the minutes as amended.
Unanimous motion carries.

Harold welcomed new members David and Lisa Fusco and Taylor Pierce.

Harold presented the addendum to be attached to each Grove Beach membership application
pertaining to completing 2 hours of service or pay $10 for each hour not completed. For those members
that have already submitted their application Harold will distribute to households for completion.

New Business:

Lorraine submitted the survey results which were reviewed and discussed by the membership. Harold
will upload the survey results on the web page for all to review. The membership thanked Lorraine for
compiling the results.

Old Business:

Lou stated he would like the 5 houses on Meriden Road, the apartments and the east side of East Street
to be eligible to join the Association.

Jim questioned if the bylaws would need to be updated to include these streets.

Maria suggested we wait a few weeks to see if our membership increases before we begin to change the
bylaws to include additional streets.

There was discussion regarding a late fee being added onto the membership if your application is not
submitted by June 1
st
.

Rita opposed a late fee stating families may not have the funds to join prior to June and adding an
additional fee would present a hardship to families.

Harold volunteered to approach last years members that have not joined.

Discussion followed on work detail.

Sonny suggested people sign up for jobs that need to be done on a weekly basis, i.e. lawn mowing, tree
trimming, raking of the beach, garbage detail and clean-up.

Six addendums were returned to Harold tonight noting which duties families would be responsible for.

Thank you to those families for signing up for work detail.

Lou advised the membership of the increased assessment on the Beach which needs to be discussed
with the Assessor of Wolcott. Lou will compile the letter which he received years ago stating the beach
assessment would not increase and be grandfathered in. Harold stated he would meet with the
Assessor next week when she returns to work.

Lou is waiting to hear from the Mattatuck Drum Corp on the availability for August 2

or August 9

Respectfully submitted,
