Artificial intelligence versus human intelligence
First of all we have to clear up what does artificial intelligence means? If we
take a regular computer magazine in their opinion is that intelligence that was
created in an artificial media with the computer on first place. To have artificial
intelligence we first need a model to create it. That model came from the old Mother
Nature that has inspired us in many areas. Biology performs some of our most
sophisticate computation and ehi!its are ro!ustness and adapta!ility
uncharacteristic of our current generations of computers" !ut will !e the
characteristic !ase of the net generations of computers. #ne way of capitalizing on
this realization is to learn and copy techni$ues from !iology and apply them to
!uilding and improving our eisting computational infrastructure. But we can also
consider another agenda %% that of replacing or augmenting the electronics&silicon
su!strate of modern computation with a living" !iochemical su!strate. Important
engineering advantages include the 'uni$ue( capa!ility of self%replication" a
straightforward interface to the chemical world" and access to the most sophisticated
nanostructural assem!ly system" the ri!osome. But the achievement in this area
proved not to !e satisfied yet.
In the eternal !attle of creating the perfect ro!ot" which assem!les human
nature" researchers have created the M) ro!ot" which is a humanoid that was made
for walking research. *ince the ro!ot is focused purely on walking it is simply a
torso and two legs. It has +) active degrees of freedom powered !y *eries ,lastic
-ctuators. In contrast to the other humanoid walking pro.ects in /apan and ,urope"
control of M) does not rely on the traditions from ro!otic arm research" which
suggest 0stiffer is !etter0. Instead" control of M) is 1soft1 and concentrated on
augmenting the natural dynamics of the ro!ot rather than overriding them.
In contrast with the humans intelligence the computers seem to have more
success" !ecause only with their help we can o!tain all the precise calculations and
the !est results in all scientific fields. But on the other part the computers can2t
manage them self yet" and !ecause of those put humans on the first place.
-ll the discoveries that were made in the past )3%43 years changed our lives
like any other discoveries since the wheel" and the most important on the fire. The
astonishing speed of all this discoveries made them unreplacea!le in our daily life.
But where will all these inventions stops? 5hen the -rtificial Intelligence will take
control all over mankind? -nd the relation master%servant will change in servant%
master one? My opinion is that researchers should stop at the point near !y the non%
returna!le way.
