CONSTRUCTION UPDATE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE APR/MAY 2014 APR/MAY 2014
In construction, the progress made on site
depends heavily on the sites logistical performance. If a site is not logistically sound, then the productivity of the workers and subcontractors, the reliability of suppliers, the state of the weather, and all the other factors that result in progress being made undergo a signicant increase in pressure. Since our last update, two The months of April and May bore witness to the most difcult part of construction: the changeover from excavation to construction. While the team was still excavating, the access around the site was restricted due to heavy machinery and truck movements. cranes on Sevanas logistical map have been raised and have been integral to the project reaching its milestones. Having two cranes on a project dramatically increases the speed at which materials can be brought in and distributed throughout the site. These two cranes have been strategically placed inside the lift shafts of two of Sevanas seven lifts. Also, until the cranes were raised in late April there was limited ability to have materials delivered. The site team has managed the task at hand seamlessly, still managing to pour 1,600 cubic metres of concrete in May, Two Cranes, Twice The Productivity Blocks A, B & C are all off the ground; having had two suspended slabs poured, Sevana is shooting up at an incredible pace. The project team is proud to inform you that the rst residential apartments have started to take shape in Block A. By the next update, expect the three towers to begin taking shape. Sevana Achieves Major Milestone 1,600 Cubic Metres Of Concrete Poured During The Month Of May Meet Philip Dicks. He is our Senior Draftsman specialising in Civil, Structural, Hydraulic and Stormwater drafting. Philip studied Building Services and Civil Engineering in the United Kingdom. Within the United Kingdom, Philip has been involved with many large scale multi-million dollar projects, which range across disciplines and sectors. Having been involved with commercial and residential drafting, nuclear power plant detailing and projects such as the 3G Telecommunication network 2002 and Her Majestys prisons upgrade project in 2007. When we asked him what his objectives were in Hyecorp projects, he responded: Providing consistency and quality design solutions within our projects is my main priority. I thrive to keep our design projects running like clockwork by providing immediate and efcient design solutions both in the ofce and to the team on site. Meet The Team The site is alive with productivity Excavators rest after a days work A view to the North West A view of the sites two tower cranes A slab nearing completion A view of Sevanas leafy aspect as each block begins to rise Boom pumps are used to increase concrete pouring speed and reach The base of the crane is set in the reinforced concrete as per engineers requirements which has formed the rst two levels of Block A and Block Bs carpark. In the coming months, expect this gure to be trumped as momentum is gained and the progress continues to ramp up following the completion of all excavation. B R A N D

R E L E A S E CONSTRUCTION UPDATE ISSUE NO. 3 - APRIL/MAY 2014 I didnt plan on purchasing a Sevana apartment as I walked into the display suite, I was only there to support a friend who ultimately purchased an apartment within the development. However as I started to get a taste of what was on offer Sevanas unique location relative to other Lane Cove developments along with the polished architecture, optimised oor plans and high quality ttings typical of all Hyecorp developments I couldnt resist but to purchase an apartment myself.
Positive word of mouth speaks volumes and that certainly rings true for Hyecorp. Hyecorp have clearly raised the bar relative to other developers simply seeking to take advantage of the booming property market in Lane Cove and its surrounding suburbs. Im sure Sevana will live up to my expectations and the expectations of my future neighbours. Looking forward to moving in!
