Course Outline: BIOSTATISTICS

Credit: 3 Units Lecture

Pre-requisites: College Algebra
Time allotment: 3 hours a week
Instructor:
Course Description: This course is designed to meet the introductory statistical needs of students
in the health related disciplines. The study includes topics on collection and presentation of the
different statistical data used in health administration, frequency, distribution, measures of
central tendencies, measures of variability, normal distribution and hypothesis testing.
Course Obecti!e: At the end of the course and given relevant simulated situations
conditions, the student will be able to apply the concepts, theories and principles of biostatistics
!from collection and presentation of the different statistical data used in health administration,
frequency, distribution, measures of central tendencies, measures of variability, normal
distribution and hypothesis testing" in nursing and health related disciplines.
