Coaching and Co-teaching model There was a brief discussion on implementing the coaching
and co-teaching model for next year. Tessa (EST-R) stated that she would begin with the grade 3
teachers. Debbie stated she has implemented the co-teaching model with several primary
teachers and it has been a very rewarding experience. However she also added that a few
teachers need to be informed about the concept as some teachers see it as a time to go make a
phone call or check e-mails while the other person is teaching. More education is needed on this
teaching model. Murray (Principal) stated that it would be addressed at the first staff meeting in
the fall.
