Mexico Bound
New details on our plans for Titus training at
YWAM Tijuana in Fall 2014.
Some of you may remember that in our March 2014 newsletter, we
shared our exciting plans to participate in the Titus Project
program in Tijuana, Mexico this Fall. Titus is an outreach program
for graduates of the School of Biblical Studies. It includes a three
week training period in which participants learn about teaching
and preaching to oral communicators !those who cannot read or do
not have the Bible in their language", teaching through a translator,
ministering cross#culturally, and more. Following the three weeks
of training, Titus participants go on outreach, teaching the
Inductive Method of Bible Study, various books of the Bible, Bible
overview and topical teachings, as well as preaching. The nal week
of Titus includes debrieng outreach, evaluating personal growth,
and celebrating the completion of the Titus program.
When we communicated our plans for Titus in March, we had few
specic details to share. Now, were excited to tell you that we have
dates as to when Titus will run in Mexico! The program begins on
September 18th, and concludes on December 12th. Outreach
locations and costs are still unknown, but we look forward to
sharing more details when we receive more information. The Titus
Mexico program leaders hope to have applications available to
prospective participants shortly, so we are looking forward to
o%cially applying soon. We have been in regular communication
with the program leaders for several months now, and they have
been very positive about our joining Titus in Tijuana this Fall.

Michael & Helen Packard are full-

to Tijuana, Mexico to receive
further training in Bible teaching
and preaching, through the Titus
program. Their long-term vision is
to pioneer the Titus program in
YWAM Turner Valley.
Prayer Requests
1. Join with us in praying as we
work out the details of how to
proceed with our plans to take the
Titus program this Fall. So much
needs to come together in a short
period of time, including ights,
program fees, outreach location,
and formally applying for Titus.
2. Our rst priority this Fall is
making a trip to Ontario to
connect with family and friends,
many of whom we have not seen
since 2012. Please pray we would
be in a position to book ights in
the near future, and that a seat
sale would be available in the
appropriate timing!

Turner Valley, as early as 2016. In addition to training in the Titus
program, before we can pioneer Titus at YWAM TV, we need to
sta! a Titus program, likely in 2015. This will mean leaving YWAM
TV for between three to ve months, to sta& Titus at a YWAM
campus where Titus is already in operation. The leadership at our
campus has ben praying for years for the Titus program to be run
out of YWAM TV, and were excited to be a part of that vision.
What a privilege to equip SBS graduates to go to the nations with
what they have studied for nine months! We look forward to
taking the Bible to di&erent parts of the world, equipping believers
with the knowledge of the truth, which accords with
godliness !Titus 1:1".

towards this next season of ministry God is calling us into. Please

In the upcoming months, we will be increasing our newsletter
frequency as new information becomes available, and as we head to
Mexico, and on outreach with the Titus program! Would you

current ministry, sta%ng with the School of Biblical Studies, as we
look forward to graduation at the end of June, and as we shift into

3. Most importantly, please pray
we would be in unity with God
and one another as we make
decisions over the next few
months. We want to honour the
Lord with each step we make
towards Titus, both in the short-
term goal of completing the Titus
Project this Fall, and the long-
term goal of bringing Titus to
YWAM Turner Valley.
4. On June 13th, Michael went
over the handlebars of his
mountain bike and broke his
collarbone. Please pray for
healing for him. Though a break of
this nature can take weeks to heal,
we know God can heal bones
instantaneously!
