Pankaj Verma: 8295577722 Poonam Jindal: 9466620527 About the course: The exponential growth of novel wireless services and innovative applications has aggravated the problem of limited availability and poor utilization of the licensed RF spectrum. Cognitive radio has recently drawn remarkable attention of academia and industry professionals as a promising solution to the low spectrum utilization efficiency. It has motivated the use of dynamic spectrum access to meet the ever increasing demand of spectrum to support the wireless services and applications. However, there are numerous challenges to be addressed for realizing the implementation of cognitive radio for dynamic spectrum access.
This course is intended to provide the participants an in-depth exposure to the four fundamental blocks of cognitive radio- spectrum sensing, spectrum decision, spectrum sharing and spectrum mobility. Implementation issues and probable solutions thereof will also be covered. The course is designed with due emphasis on the laboratory sessions on the implementation of theoretical concepts through LabView and MatLab platforms.
Target audience: Faculty of engineering colleges Graduate students pursuing research in related areas Industry professionals/personnel/scientists working in public/private/Govt. organizations
