I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course aims to know key concepts in psychology specifically the dimension that promotes psycho-social well-being of students such as
physiological, mental, emotional, social and spiritual. Essentially, the course covers general aspects of psychology in the areas of human growth and
development, mental processes, emotional intelligence, interpersonal efficacy and spiritual maturity.

The course also facilitates the students personal awareness and development in relation to their community as guided by the Lasallian core values
of Faith (God-loving and morally upright), Zeal for Service (Passion for excellence and Globally competitive), and Communion in Mission (Patriotic,
Ecocentric, and Community Oriented).

III. FINAL PRODUCT / PERFORMANCE TASK
Psychology Major (Research on Related Issues in Psychology)
The goal is to write and present a scientific research paper on related issues in Psychology, bearing in mind the following:
o Act as a Lasallian in your community and environment who is sensitive to its needs, issues and concerns (Patriotic).
o Integrate ethical values and Christian-like approach in conducting your research. (God-loving).
o Follow the scientific process and demonstrate adherence to the APA format for research journal articles. (Passion for excellence)
o Be considerate and sincere in your intentions to help people who are in need. (Community oriented)
o Exhibit the virtue of prudence and humility in critiquing other groups presentation. (Morally upright)
o Manifest awareness in promoting a healthy environment essential in nurturing individuals.(Ecocentric)
o Facilitate a well organized activity that manifest your profound understanding of the psycho-social well being of a person.(Globally competitive)

Non-Psychology Major (Term Paper and Advocacy Slogan Exhibit on Related Issues in Psychology)
The goal is to write a term paper and present an advocacy slogan exhibit on related issues in Psychology, bearing in mind the following:
o You shall act as a Lasallian in your community who is sensitive to its needs, issues and concerns. (Patriotic).
o You are to integrate Christian-like approach in coming up with decisions that would help them arrive at an effective action. (God-loving).
o Your advocacy must clearly identify the cause/s, objectives and approaches that will ignite the human components of their physiological, emotional and
spiritual dimensions. (Has passion for excellence).
o You must be considerate and sincere in your intentions to help people who are in need. (Community oriented)
o Your must exhibit the virtue of prudence and humility in critiquing other groups presentation. (Morally upright)
o Your final output must manifest awareness in promoting a healthy environment essential in nurturing individuals.(Ecocentric)

VI. COURSE POLICIES
A. Use of mobile phones and other electronic gadgets is prohibited during class hours unless a special permission to do is granted.
B. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the psychology laboratory / classroom.
C. Students are allowed eleven (11) hours of absences inclusive of tardiness. All absences thereafter shall mean excessive absences, which merit a grade
of 0.0.
D. Assignments must be submitted before the class begins; unless otherwise indicated.
E. Concerns (grades, activities, performances, etc.) must be discussed properly with the subject teacher.

All other policies (attendance, tardiness, decorum, grievance, etc) shall be subject to the provisions of the latest version of the Student Handbook.
