LCD Television
Subject: Compatibility concerns with connections via HDMI using DVI-HDMI conversion cable.

Countermeasure: Upgrade unit with latest firmware version 1.07.
The Main firmware has been upgraded to version 1.07.

The new firmware can resolve the following occurrences:

When Film Mode is set to on, noise lines may appear on a moving image when the V-
position or View Mode is set / changed during certain mode selection.
When using a cable Set Top Box (STB) via HDMI using a DVI-HMDI conversion cable,
the 480i picture may appear stretched due to signal is processed as 720x480i, not
1440x480i.
Bright pixels appear on the upper left of the display when the TV is powered on. Pixels
would disappear after changing channels.
When the cable TV setting is set to HRC/IRC (frequency), the analog channel 1 is not
registered as the last channel.
Block noise may appear on the display during viewing of HD signal.
Black levels may appear poor when the Sony PLAYSTATION is connected via HDMI.

When servicing these models, please upgrade the main firmware to version 1.07 or later by using a
SD (secured digital) memory card. Please go to SharpNet (www.sharp-service.com) Technical
