Assignment

Explain the two steps leaders must fulfill to be effective. Apply these steps to a current
situation in which you are a follower. What style would be most appropriate for leading
you, according to the theory, and why? Do you agree?
Answer
For a leader to be effective a leader should have to be supportive and directive in all the
situations.
Being a member of football team our main function is to achieve the goal. The goal is to win and
face the current situation and we should support each other to achieve the goal. Whereas in
directive we provide the direction to the players that how we can achieve the goals.
Both styles of leader are effective, directive or supportive.
Yes I am agree because leader show different behavior in different situation.

What factors might make it harder for you to be more directive as a leader? More
supportive?


I. Motivation
If leader not motivate there employees than he cant increase the productivity.

2. Culture
it is the factors which also play role to be supportivr and diretive People of different
cultures perceive and respond differently to the various attributes of leadership so understand
all cultures is tough its also becomes harder

3. Lake of communication
If the lack of communication is there between leader and there employees than it
became harder for his followers.

4.trust and respect
Employees trust and respect to his leader always pay part to the behave of leaderships

followers? In other words, would a leader with a high concern for task differ from a
leader with a high concern for relationships?

Yes leader motivation for adopting his or her leadership style has any effect to his followers.
Leader show different behavior in different situation. Leader focuses on the current situation
and faces the problem.



If a leader uses a different style of leadership with each of his followers, how might that
lead to perceptions of favoritism? What could a leader do to avoid such impressions
while still being adaptable to follower needs?

yes if you uses different styles of leadership with each followers it can lead to the perception
of favoritism and it can produce some negative effect on the performance for example a
followers which need your extra time n you give him that much time which other followers
mind and perceive favoritism which can decrease their commitment towards the task which
is not good at that time you are need to perform such an action behavior to ensue to all that
for you all the team is equalent and all the followers are equaling in other word that you need
to perceive the situation and adopt situational approach .. n if you perform situational
approach at that time when needed then you can avoid such type of impressions being able
to adaptable to followers need

How might the situational approach be affected by the number of followers that a leader has?

situational approach may effected by the number of followers because at different situation
different followers demand different leadership so at that time by the need of the followers
situational approach could be effected at the same time.
