Business Writing
Overview
Writing to express ideas and convey information effectively and persuasively to employees,
colleagues and customers is not an option but mandatory in todays international business
environment. Being able to write formal letters, emails, memorandums, speeches and power point
presentations is part of daily business activity and is as equally important as possessing strong verbal
skills. A letters form, its structure and wording defines the person who is writing it and makes all the
difference how the document is received and responded to. Its wise to remember,

Clear thinking leads to clear writing; clear writing leads to clear
communication!

With this in mind, the Business Writing course is designed to provide such relevant and
comprehensive letter writing instruction, coupled with practical writing assignments and review to
ensure correct writing form and content is both understood and successfully applied.

By the end of the training session, participants will be able to:

About the Trainer
Mr. Robert V. Longo, J.D.
Robert is an American citizen with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Juris Doctorate in Law. He
practiced as a criminal trial lawyer with the U.S. military in Germany where he honed his advocacy
skills before entering the financial sector working in sales and client development with multinational
insurers and banking institutions. Recently, Robert has entered the teaching profession where he has
lectured throughout Asia teaching business, finance, law and his most favorite area of interest,
communication and presentation. Over the past 30 years and in connection with his professional
activities, Robert has successfully conducted numerous seminars throughout the U.S., Europe and
Asia and been asked to publicly speak at a variety of both professional and social events making him
a sought after trainer in the field of communication and sales.

Robert launched the Art of Communication group in 2013 to allow him and other like-minded training
professionals to share their expertise in all areas of communication deemed relevant to both students
and business professionals. The primary mission is to increase proficiency and confidence by doing
through the offering of a variety of courses that seek to improve oral, written and visual
communication. He instructs several courses on public speaking and presenting, networking, sales,
interviewing, leadership and motivation, formal letter writing along with conversational business
English to increase fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation. The courses range from 2 day seminars to
several week interactive tutorial/workshop styled programs that are designed to deliver practical and
useable information in a concentrated format. Specifically, AOC wants their programs to be beneficial
and accessible to all those interested in improving their skills and abilities in order to personally and
professionally grow.
