PD METER TECHNOLOGY
Smith Meter PD meters have been the choice of terminal and
bulk plant operators for over 60 years. The unique rotary
vane design provides unsurpassed accuracy, long term
measurement stability and many years of maintenance free
performance. Its not uncommon for Smith Meter PD meters
to be in service for over 40 years.
The Genesis Series and PRIME 4 meters are innovative
designs that combine the benets of a turbine meter
and the performance stability of a traditional PD meter.
Genesis meters ofer a premium wide ow rate turn down
range and meet in particular the blending application needs.

FEATURES
FMC Technologies unique Smith Meter rotary
vane design: the inlet/outlet nozzle design minimizes
pressure drop in the measurement chamber to
reduce slippage and maximize accuracy while its
streamlined ow path provides lowest system pressure
drop in class compared with any other system solution.
Models to meet various installation needs: all
models are available for horizontal installation and
selective models are available for angle or vertical
installation. PRIME 4 and Genesis meters can be installed
either horizontally or vertically.
Mechanical/electronic output: Genesis, PRIME 4,
and -J meters ofer integrated electronic output only.
All others are mechanical output meters with optional
external transmitter options. Genesis, PRIME 4, and
-J meters are packing gland free.
Typical applications: truck loading/unloading; rail
loading/unloading.

TURBINE METER TECHNOLOGY
Smith Meter Sentry

Series are conventional turbine meters and

ideal for low viscosity and high volume transfer applications.
Smith Meter Helical Type Turbine Meters like the MV Series
are engineered, built and tested to provide high accuracy
measurement over a wider range of product viscosity.
The MVTMs rugged design, titanium rotor and enhanced
pressure-balanced bearing system ensures highly stable
measurement and provides a long service life.
The Smith Meter Helical Turbine Meters are ideal for custody
transfer of all medium viscosity products with high long
lasting ow rates.
ULTRASONIC TECHNOLOGY

Series has no moving parts to provide

a low maintenance measurement solution. It ofers a wide
dynamic ow range and wide viscosity application range

PD METER TECHNOLOGY
Smith Meter double case meter are line pressure
