Integration of New Technologies
Throughout the duration of EDU210, I
have had the privilege to explore many
different technologies that can be used
in my classroom. I personally enjoy the
use of PowerPoint, podcasts,
educational apps, PosterMyWall,
Interactive Whiteboards, and Canvas as
an LMS. I think that I could easily
integrate those technologies into my
high school classroom. At the beginning
of the term, I wasn`t overly aware of the
different technologies that I could use to
remove barriers to benefit the learning
process of my students. But now, I feel
much more comfortable incorporating
technologies into the ways I teach the
content of my course. Not only have I
gained a greater knowledge of what
technologies are available to me, as a
teacher, but I have also gained a better
appreciation for the use of technology in
the classroom.

A Growing Pedagogy
Although this course did not focus
primarily on pedagogy, I still believe
that I am gaining a better
knowledge regarding how to teach.
Throughout the duration of this
course, I firmly believe that my
ability to apply pedagogy into my
classroom has increased. In
addition, I feel as though I have
begun to understand how I can use
technology effectively as a way to
teach my students. Therefore, the
circle representing pedagogy in my
TPACK has finally begun to interact
with Technology and Content.
Finally, I believe that my knowledge
for pedagogy will only increase once
I have accomplished my IPT and
APT. Hence a solid and reliable
pedagogy can only flourish with
experience and practice.
Pedagogy!
Content Remains the Same
I still feel very confident in the
knowledge I have regarding the
content I intend to teach, which
is high school sciences. I have
just completed my BSc and I
feel extremely comfortable with
the material. I feel at ease when
talking about any of the three
main high school sciences:
Biology, Physics and
Chemistry. Although review of
the material is always
important, I hope I can find
some interesting advancements
in science, provided by others
research, that relates to the
content of the course.
Ultimately, I love science and
believe that I having a love for a
subject and knowing it well is a
great base to have when
building a successful TPACK.

Where I am now

Pedagogy
I now know how I can use
Technology in an effective
way to enhance my
pedagogy and content.
Learning about
LMSs, Interactive
Whiteboards and
other technologies
has really
contributed to the
growth of my
TPACK.
Pedagogy has now been incorporated into
the TPACK diagram because I now have a
better understanding of how to relate the
relate the 3 elements effectively.
Personal Reflection
In conclusion, I believe that I have a great
TPACK. Although it has not yet been
perfectly completed, I believe that I am well
on my way to attaining the desired TPACK.
I am still early on in my journey to
becoming a teacher but I feel very confident
in my current TPACK. I also believe that
more experience in the field will only help
to improve my TPACK. In addition, my
TPACK will always be changing because
technologies, pedagogies and content have
the abilities to develop and change as well.
Finally, I believe that the TPACK will have a
great impact on me as teacher because it is
an excellent guideline I can use to outline
these three areas. Hence I can always look
back at the desired TPACK to ensure that I
am using Technology effectively in my
classroom.
