Method
1. Begin by cutting 6 lengths of superlon bead cord each approx 1.5 meters long - so
that would be two lengths of each colour (a total of six lengths of cord).
2. Now pin your chosen ring to the centre top of your macrame board and attach all
the lengths of cord to your chosen ring using a "larks head" knot - see below
3. Now take two size 8 seed beads and thread them onto both of the centre strands
of superlon cord - that's two lengths of cord through each bead:

4. Now take the cord on the far right of the board and bring it across to the left - hold
it in place by putting it in one of the notches on the macrame board, it is important
that you keep this cord taught, this thread will be your "guide" thread:
5. Now take the next 5 threads and use them to tie a double half hitch knot over the
guide thread:

tie double half hitches all the way along the guide thread as shown below:

6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 for the other side of the bracelet:
7. Now take the two central threads and tie them together in a double half hitch:

8. Now repeat the process starting again on the right and form another row of half
hitch knots on both sides of the bracelet, finish by once again tying the two central
cords in a double half hitch knot:

9. Now thread on six size 8 seed beads in the pattern shown below:
10. Now add a pin underneath the top right hand thread and bring it across to the left
- secure it in one of the notches on the side of the board:

11. Take the next 5 threads and tie double half hitch knots on the guide thread:
12. Repeat for the other side of the bracelet and knot the two central threads
together as in step 7:
13. Add another row of double half hitch knots:

14. Continue repeating the pattern until your macrame is approx 3 inches or 8cm
long. You now need to make the focal beaded swirl and switch the direction of the
macrame.
15. Now take the left hand cords and thread on some size 8 seed beads in the
pattern shown below
16. Use the central cord as the "guide" thread and secure it to the side of the board,
now use the next 5 threads on the left to tie double half hitch knots along the "guide"
thread:

17. Now repeat this for the other side of the bracelet and knot the two central cords
together
18. Now use the two central threads as the "guide" threads and tie another row of
double half hitch knots on either side of the bracelet:

19. Now starting from the right hand central thread add on three beads in the pattern
shown. Bring the central thread across and use as "guide" thread - you may need to
use a T-Pin to hold the bead in place as you bring the thread across. Tie a row of
double half hitch knots along the length of the guide thread.

20. Repeat for the other side of the bracelet:
21. Now knot the two central cords together:

22. Bring the two central cords off to the side and use as "guide" threads - tie
another row of double half hitch knots on either side of the bracelet:
23. Repeat steps 19-22 until this half of the bracelet is the same length as the first
half:

24. Now thread two seed beads onto the two central threads:
25. Now remove the bracelet from the macrame board and attach the remaining ring
using another larks head knot as shown below:

26. Pull the threads nice and tight and knot them together at the back of the bracelet.
Add a dab of GS Hypo Cement or Fevi Kwik glue to the knots and trim the threads:

27. Finally attach a clasp to the bracelet using 7mm jump rings - we've gone for a
simple lobster clasp with extension chain and added some beads to our extension
chain for a lovely finishing touch!
