Introduction to Program
Understanding all facets of the renewable and non-renewable energy sources is essential for creating a strong
career in the energy sector. This past decade has witnessed a tenfold increase in investment by the G 20
countries in the renewable energy technologies. This phenomenal expansion in investment has simultaneously
increased the demand for skilled workers who have the knowledge and skills to work in the energy economy.
The post graduate diploma program in Energy Technology, Economics and Policy provides students with a
detailed insight into both the renewable and non-renewable energy sectors by comparing renewable
technologies to conventional fossil fuel technologies at the local, national and international levels. The program
covers the economics of power generation, climate change policy and the environmental impact of the
electricity generation, energy security and geopolitics.
All programs are delivered online through an easily navigable learning platform. Students can learn at their
computers when and where they desire. The programs are structured to allow students and their professors to
collaborate online. Professors from throughout the world can educate a global student body. All assignment and
tests are available online, on the learning platform.
