(230) A True Muslim
(1) When Allah Wills Good:
The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, When Allah wills good for a person, He grants him understanding of the
religion.[Sahih Al-Bukhari 71]
Evil is the parable of the people who rejected Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses and signs, etc.), and used to
wrong their ownselves.{Al-Araf 7:177]
Whomsoever Allah guides, he is the guided one, and whosoever He sends astray, then those! They are
losers.[Al-Araf 7:178]
(2) Faith [Iman]:
The Bedouins say: We believe. Say: You believe not but you only say, We have surrendered (in Islam), for
Faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger (SAWS), He will not decrease
anything in reward for your deeds. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.[Al-Hujrat 49:14]
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah R.A. that the Prophet SAWS said, No adulterer is a believer at the time he is
committing adultery; no thief is a believer at the time the time he is stealing; no drunker of wine is a believer at the
time he is drinking it; but repentance may be accepted afterwards.[Sahih Muslim, Vol.1, [208] 104]
Sweetness (delight) of Faith:
Narrated Anas R.A., the Prophet SAWS said, Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the
sweetness (delight) of Faith:
(1) The one to whom Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAWS) become dearer than anything else.
(2) Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allahs sake.
(3) Who hates to revert to atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire.[Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol.1,
Chapter 9, Hadith No.16]
One should be very careful in day to day affair not to speak lies even for the sake of Fun. That person is not
devout Muslim or that his faith is not complete.
(3) Hypocrite:
It was narrated that Abdullah bin Amr R.A. said, The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, There are four
characteristics, whoever has them all is a pure hypocrite, and whoever has one of its characteristics of hypocrisy ,
until he gives it up: When he speaks he lies, when he makes a covenant he betrays it, when he makes a promise
he breaks it, and when he disputes he restore to obscene speech.
(4) As-Salat (Prayer):
And as to those who hold fast to the Book (i.e., act on its teachings) and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat),
certainly We shall never waste the reward of those who do righteous deeds.[Al-Araf 7:170]
Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahasha (i.e. great sins of every kind, Zina) and Al-Munkar (i.e.
disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of wicked deeds).[Al-Ankabut 29:45]
It is said by Ibn Abbas and Abdullah bin Masud R.A.: If the Salat (prayer) of anyone does not prevent him from Al-
Fahasha and Al-Munkar (all kinds of evil , illegal and sinful deeds), then his Salat (prayer) increases him nothing
but loss, and to be far away from his Lord (Allah) [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi]
1)Successful indeed are the believers.
2) Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness.
3) And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has
forbidden).[Al-Muminun 23:1 to 3]
(5) Whoever Among You Sees An Evil Action:
The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand (by
taking action); if he cannot, then with his tongue (by speaking out); and if he cannot, then with his heart (by hating
it and feeling it is wrong), and that is the weakest of faith.[Sahih Muslim 49]
(6) Do Not Make Fun of Others:
O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor
let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor defame one
another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it to insult ones brother after having Faith [i.e., to call
your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: O sinner, or O wicked]. And whosoever does not repent, then such
are indeed Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.).[Al-Hujrat 49:11]
(7) Avoid Much Suspicion:
O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one
another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear
Allah, Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.[Al-Hujrat 49:12]
Abu Hurairah R.A. ,reported, The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the greatest
lie. Do not be inquisitive about one another, or spy on one another. Do not outbid one another with a view to
raising the price. Do not feel jealous and do not hold grudges against one another. Do not backbite, but be the
servants of Allah like brothers amongst yourselves.[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
(8) Brotherhood:
And if two parties or groups among the believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them both. But if one
of them outrages against the other, then fight you (all) against the one that which outrages till it complies with the
Command of Allah. Then if it complies, then make reconciliation between them justly, and be equitable. Verily!
Allah loves those who are the equitable.
The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers,
and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy.[Al-Hujurat 49:9-10]
(1) The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, Whoever would like to have his provision increased and his lifespan
extended, let him uphold his ties of kinship.[Sahih Al-Bukhari 48]
(2) The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him uphold ties of
kinship.[Sahih Al-Bukhari 6138]
(3) The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, Support your brother whether he is a wrongdoer or is being wronged. A
man said, O Messenger of Allah, I will support him if he is being wronged but if he wronging others, how can I
support him? He said, By stopping or preventing him from wrongdoing; that is supporting him.[Sahih Al-Bukhari
6952]
(4) The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, It is not permissible for Muslim to forsake his brother for more than three
(days).[Sahih Al-Bukhari 6237]
(5) The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, Allah will help a person so long as he is helping his brother.[Sahih Al-
Bukhari 5353]
(9) As You Sow So You Reap:
That Allah may requite each person according to what he has earned. Truly, Allah is Swift at reckoning.[Ibrahim
14:51]
This Day shall every person be recompensed for what he earned. This Day no injustice (shall be done to
anybody). Truly Allah is Swift in reckoning.{Ghafir 40:17]
And whoever brings an evil deed (i.e., Shirk polytheism, disbelief in the Oneness of Allah and every evil sinful
deed), they will be cast down (prone) on their faces in the Fire. (And it will be said to them) Are you being
recompensed anything except what you used to do?[An-Naml 27:90]
This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that
which you used to do.[Ya-Sin 36:54]
Taste you therein its heat and whether you are patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same. You are only being
requited for what you used to do.[At-Tur 52:16]
(It will be said in the Hereafter) O you who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism)! Make no
excuses this Day! You are being requited only for what you used to do.[At-Tahrim 66:7]
(10) Idol Mind Is Devils Work Shop:
And whosoever turns away blindly from the remembrance of the Most Gracious (Allah) (i.e., this Quran and
worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan Devil) to be a Qarin (a companion) to him.[Az-Zukhruf
43:36]
And indeed We have created man, and We know what his own self whispers to him. And We are nearer to him
than his jugular vein (by our Knowledge.[Qaf 50:16]
When person remembers and glorify Allah the Shaitan withdraws, when he is busy in any other work, Shaitan
returns and he whispers.
(1) (Prophet SAWS said Allah has appointed Shaitan to every
individual, some Companion asked him you also Prophet SAWS said;Yes
but I have made him my Muti (under my control). he does not misguide
me.) {Sahih Al-Bukhari]
(Prophet SAWS was in Aitikaf during month of Ramdan.Ummul Mominin
Safiya R.A. visited him in the mosque, then prophet SAWS accompanied her
to leave her in Hujra which was near the house of Zaid RA.,two Ansari
Companions after seeing Prophet SAWS started walking fast, Prophet SAWS
stopped them and told them that I am leaving my wife to her
Hujra, they replied How can we think about you. Prophet SAWS said,The
Shaitan circulates in the blood of human being.)[ Sahi Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
(2) Allah the Exalted affirms His absolute dominance over mankind, being the Creator and Knower of everything
about them. Allah the Exalted has complete knowledge of all thoughts that cross the mind of man, be they good or
evil.
In the Sahih the Messenger of Allah SAWS said, Verily, Allah the Exalted has forgiven my Ummah (Muslims) for
what they talk (think) to themselves about, as long as they do not utter or implement it.
(3) Narrated Aishah R.A.,The Prophet SAWS said, The deeds of the following three person are not recorded by
the pen1) A sleeping person till he wakes up. (2) A child till he reaches the age of puberty. (3)An insane person
till he becomes sane.[An-Nisai Chapter 21]
