THE TWO BOOT CONCEPT

In sports where any improvement in ball control can be a dry and damp playing conditions, creating a truly competitive
match winner, Nomis have introduced the two boot concept for edge to your game by providing extra ball control, power, speed

Typically players used to only change their studs according to the
playing conditions but now, after studying the effects of playing
sport in different weather conditions, Nomis have developed two
revolutionary technologies to maximise ball control in both dry or
damp conditions and in very wet conditions.
In wet playing conditions standard leathers create an aqua-
plane effect when in contact with the ball, creating a loss in
ball grip and ball control. Nomis Wet Control Technology actually
increases the amount of ball-grip when wet, so instead of losing
grip, you get more.

 the eva midsole range
Today’s modern game, is highly demanding so it is amazing to think that even the most basic
running shoe offers better foot protection and shock dispersion than a standard football
boot. Until now, there has been little in the way of football boot development specifically
targeted towards improving the running position and reducing the forces that are typically
absorbed by the player’s feet and body.

The Nomis EVA midsole runs from the heel to the forefoot of the boot. All Nomis football
boots that feature this midsole are bio-mechanically engineered for superior comfort, support,
performance and reduced risk of injury. The special design creates superior shock dispersion
and alleviates forces that would normally travel through the player’s heel, ankle and calf. It
also adds support and stability to the heel, and strengthens the arch of the shoe, while still
maintaining the required flexibility and improving comfort.

By adding an EVA midsole into the boots, the heel is raised slightly, repositioning the weight
of the player forwards. This creates a better running position, relieving forces from the legs
and calves, minimising pain, reducing the risk of injury and creating a faster movement from
standing to running.

Selected boots from the EVA midsole range are also available in the junior range. Nomis
believes that all players, no matter what their age, should be able to benefit from improved
cushioning and protection, as even the youngest players can suffer injuries related to wearing
unsuitable footwear.

more games are being played each season. With this in mind, the Nomis hard ground range
now offers improved comfort, better fit and increased cushioning to help players deal well in
these conditions.

New additions for 2008 are the HG Supremacy and HG Pro, which are part of the EVA midsole
range and have been specially designed to offer players the ideal boots for hard pitches.

Featuring 32 rubber studs molded into an EVA outsole, the HG Supremacy and HG Pro offer
improved pressure dispersion, which increases comfort and stability while providing better
shock absorption. The stud layout has been carefully designed to improve traction in all
directions and allow for multi-directional movement.

Nomis Wet Control Technology gives players a football boot that reacts according to the playing
conditions, offering better ball grip in wet conditions.

All players will be aware of the common problems created by playing in wet conditions. When
water is present on standard leather or synthetic boots, an aquaplane effect occurs when the
ball comes into contact with the boot, effectively removing friction with the ball. This causes a
loss of ball grip and loss of control.

What is amazing about Nomis Wet Control Technology is that when the leather technology is
applied to football boots it actually increases the amount of friction between ball and boot in
the presence of water. This technology is a huge step forward in the design of football boots
and allows players to optimise their game according to the weather.

Not only does Nomis Wet Control Technology boost ball grip in the wet, but it also significantly
reduces the amount of moisture that is absorbed by the leather, which is what typically makes
most leather boots become hard, uncomfortable and heavy over time.
