1. Opening Purpose

The fair is held to recognize the importance of both national and international intellectual
properties and to cope with internationalization and advanced communication worldwide in
the on-begun digital era for 21st century inventors.

CIGIF is a fair of celebration for recognizable inventors and their inventions, not an actual
commercializing exhibition of products. Online submission (email) of an entry form for CIGIF
with both written & visual explanations of the presenting invention is examined, evaluated
and registered to the fair for entry to be designated with the suitable awards at CIGIF 2014
Awards.

The fair aims to identify, introduce and exercise the latest technologies and creative ideas
from inventors around the world, contributing to the knowledge-based industry by providing
a platform for triggering global network and information exchange for inventors, at the same
time, cultivating new and unforeseen genius inventors on the international stage of inventors,
channeling the main message that Anyone Can Invent!, aiding in inventors passion and
desire to invent for the development of our living life and society.

All applicants are invited to the CIGIF Awards 2014 ceremony where they will be given
with the event catalogue, presented with designated awards and prizes, have networking
session with all national inventor representatives of Korea, CIGIF international committee,
and participants from around the world in a multicultural environment surrounded by a
large media coverage.


3. Evaluation & Awards

<Panel of Judges>

- Sponsored countries committee co-chairman(s) of CIGIF 2014 International Organizing
Committee & recommended personnel

- Senior inventors with a history of receiving awards in past international invention
exhibitions from at least 5 different countries

- University professors & patent lawyers and professions of relevant fields.

- Domestic & foreign patent lawyers & attorneys


<Evaluation Criteria>

A. Method of Examination: Without the actual inventions exhibited, the evaluation is based
on the contents of the submitted entry form which should contain sufficient data (both text
& visual) for the suitable evaluation.

B. Standard of Examination: The highest weight of mark will be placed on the key idea of
the invention. The inventions novelty, technology, practicality, completeness and
marketability will be assessed to complete the entire evaluation.

C. Disqualification:

Based on prior registered technology search, the invention copied off from others
already-existing ideas will be disqualified from the examination.

Deprived inventions of the copied model of others will be permanently eliminated to
ever qualify for CIGIF event.

5. Participation Regulations *

Applicants must have their patent, utility model, design registered and those inventions
possible to disorder public morale or damage public hygiene will be eliminated from the
examination process.

Unpatented inventions will be completely non-disclosed by the organizer and will not be
exposed.

Applications with no confirmation of entry fee payment are excluded from the examination.

The organizer does not bear the responsibility to cover any accidents caused by the
applicants error in filling out the entry form nor the output on CIGIF 2014 Catalogue.

The applicant applies with the agreement to the above regulations to Korea Cyber
International Genius Inventor Fair, CIGIF 2014 in Korea.

6. Frequently Asked Question(s) & Useful Information

Q: If I am not able to visit Korea for the award ceremony, how do I receive my awards?

A: The awards including the CIGIF 2014 Event Catalogue will be couriered via EMS & other
system of post mail deliveries in order to be reached to applicants mailing address provided on the
Entry Form.

CIGIF 2014 applicants and award winners appearances and results will be presented on Korea
Invention News edition that comes to being published in the post-event period.
