One of our founding partners is the first and only U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

(prior to PwC), The World Bank Group, and other venture capital firms. He now brings his
unique experience to help business owners plan, run, and grow their businesses more

The Ferney Name
We help clients step back and see order in the complexity of running a business so that they
can make wise business decisions. This is seeing the forest for the trees. After we chose "see
the forest" as our tagline to describe what we do, we settled on Ferney Business Consultants
Ltd. as the name for our firm. The name pleasingly evokes a forest, just as we wanted, and it
is also a place of tremendous history and complexity. It bears the name of the rainforest which
is one of the most diverse ecosystems on earth, a fitting symbol of the complexity and
connectedness of our clients' personal, business, and financial lives. This offers a rich
symbolism for what we do. Ferney is also very important in the historical journey of
Mauritius.
Facts about Ferney
The village of Ferney located in the South East of the island holds important meaning to
Mauritius as it is the area where the Dutch came ashore when they discovered the island in
1598. The place contains one of the few remnants of pristine forest (good quality native forest
accounting for less than 2% of total forest area) on the island with a number of endemic flora
and fauna. It also has an amazing view of the Grand Port area and South East Mountain
Range.
