OSHO Academy in Seduna(http://www.oshoacademy.com/)
Article on Kavisha

Gatasansa: Monju, who is living in Kyoto and making the sannyas magazine wants y
our interview,@and many other friends in Japan want to know what is "happening" h
ere. So, I would like to ask you this question among several questions he has as
ked me to ask you. For some time, you had been living in California since you le
ft Poona. But lately, you have moved to this place, and now you are here. Why ha
ve you come here? How have you decided to choose this place to live? Monju is in
terested in looking at things from the spiritual aspect, and he and his friends
also are looking for some space to make something like commune. That's the reaso
n why they want to know why you chose this place. By the way, Sedona is a very f
amous place in Japan as one of the spiritual spots.
Kavisha: Ok, first of all, I like that he is calling this a "happening", because
I myself really want to call this the same way. This is a "happening". Perhaps
he understood what this means. We didn't decide anything. One thing clear to us
was that we could not stay in LA any longer. There we were renting a house, but
things had been not so good about the house. But the earthquake shook us up real
ly. That was the reason why we felt we needed to leave town for sometime. So, we
just decided to visit here. For many years, we had heard about Sedona, friends
were telling us, "Just come here, look, and experience, here is beautyc."., and w
e were just telling them, "ok, we will come and have a look". It was jus thet ri
ght time to get out of the place where the earth was shaking. Being together wit
h OSHO for a long time, things are always going like this. When the time is righ
t, something happens. You really can't plan anything. Planning, or even imaginin
g what we will do is impossible. It just happens in exactly the right time. What
I want to convey is: it is happening so fast that I can't believe it. We origin
ally didn't come here to start something. We came here, because we simply wanted
to have some rest. Can you believe it? It was a holiday, just like going for a
drive to Sedona, and we found it was fantastic here. We were really impressed. A
s soon as we arrived, we found some real estate agency who were showing us aroun
d this place and that place. We couldn't help doing it. We went to one place, ch
ecking whether we liked it, how we felt there, because we knew we needed to get
out of LA. The earthquake was the turning point. It gave all of us a terrible fe
eling. So we all felt we needed to move out, to somewhere from LA, but didn't ex
pect it would happen this way. Whatever is happening is our Master's doing. Beli
eve me. (Laugh).

Kavisha: We could not in the first place really imagine it would happen this way
. We always have been living together, and we found three places in a small area
. We liked this area, and, as you may know it, Rani visited us, telling "I want
to come, I want to come, I want to comec..", and started to tell us "I want to li
ve here". Suddenly, this has started to "happen". This is the spiritual aspect o
f this thing as well as the answer to why and how I came here.
Gatasansa: Wadudu and Waduda also want to come, right?
Kavisha: Yes, Wadudu came and Waduda also came. They visit us twice a year and w
e are working together. They said, "We want to join, we want to come here".
Gatasansa: It is interesting. They are also interested?

Kaviaha: Yes. How we see this thing is like---maybe you heard that OSHO says thi
ngs like this: you work, and then find a right place where it can happen. Just b
e alert everyday and prepare for what is coming. and watch and experience here w
hat you have learned being with me all these years. Who am I? What am I teaching
? What am I speaking? If this can be created----- You also know---Osho is such a
challenge, because he is so vast, so huge, including everything. We would like
to make it beautiful.in all dimensions It is our challenge.
Gatasansa: Fantastic!
Kavisha: I think what we have been seeing in this world is that you can go to so
me beautiful places, for example, beautiful hotels or houses, but you cannot fin
d any spirituality there. On the other hand, you can go to some place very spiri
tual, you don't find any beauty---you reach some very pure energy, but it is dir
ty and not comfortable there. Some places have both spirituality and materialism
and people are eager to have holy spirits, love their Gods, and at same time lo
ve to put deep roots in the earth: the quality of the Zorba, and to make some in
stitution. This is all that is important for us. When I see Osho's teaching, I f
ell like this: if we understand and materialize these two qualities, Zorba and B
uddha, He will be very happy. You know they are not separate. So we are working
because many people misunderstand these two, thinking they can't have both. They
can't believe it is possible to be spiritual and yet be rich in all dimensions.
It is actually a wonderful way, like, you have a whole piece of cake in your ha
nd and continuously eating it.
Gatasansa: The reason why people come here is you. I have heard from many people
that you have vision. What kind of vision do you see? "OSHO ACADEMY"
Kavisha: Yes. Osho Academy is a place where you can live Osho's teaching in ordi
nary life, through sharing happening on an occasional basis, which I have mentio
ned before. It is a nourishing place for both Zorba and Buddha to be together. H
ere we have a group of people who live this teaching. Here, we are full of love
for the school in which religion meets science in real sense. We are observing o
ur inner world in a scientific way and watching how we can bring them together.
In my whole life, I have been having a big vision and would love to find a place
where we can go into such a life style with more joy and full of love. Osho, ev
en after He left His body, is continuously giving us all the keys that can help
us to get out of our sufferings. So it is up to us whether we receive all the ke
ys and open everybody's lock. We have many kinds of techniques and are using the
m in this academy. How to open these locks? We want people to watch their suffer
ings and their way of the past, their way of seeing their lives from the past. T
his past is still the cause of their sufferings. Just cut it. We can finish it.
This is the main thing that is happening here---to finish it, and the way we can
work together is the institution. Many people can make the team together, becau
se, as far as I see, many people really want this to happen: to feel the connect
ion and to be a part of something much bigger than ourselves. I see that we, wit
h our heart thrilling, all know that we are only a part of Osho. He is so vast.
He, His energy, His love is taking us. Do you understand what I am saying? Gatas
ansa: Yes.---this is the main thing which we would like to ask---how would you l
ike to run this place? As an experiment? You would like to make a commune here?

Kavisha: I really don't know yet. It just has started. But remember that we were
not even here 3 months ago. Now we are here. Now we have 5 places here and soon
6 places---oh no, seven places, Rani and Wadudu, so seven places and other peop
le also will start. It is changing very much. I think it is the difference. It i
s very delicate, it is simply "happening". This word is just right.(laugh) Let i
t just "happen" continuously. Something is "happening" continuously.
Gatasansa: To me, my journey has been just "happening". I went to Colon, Germany
, because the exhibition of Osho's art "happened" there. I went to Osho Inter in
England, because I wanted to see their Osho's art gallery and I came here becau
se I wanted to see here. You have been together with Yogi, and they purchased Os
ho's art. So my journey has been simply "happening".
Kavisha: You are a part of the "happening".
Gatasansa: Yes.
Kavisha: I am very happy about Osho's art and Japanese people who are more in tu
ne with esoteric science than before. You know we have a little problem of langu
age, but you can be a media in between. For now, you have my interview, you part
icipate in Wadudu and Waduda's group, and please explain it in so many words, so
that many more people can come and join.
Gatasansa: I am interested in doing this, and do you have a good connection with
Wadudu and Waduda? You have organized their group, right?
Kavisha: yes.

Gatasansa: I am pretty much surprised about this. What on earth is happening her
e?
Kavisha: I am feeling the same way you are. You are a kind of ambassador, and wi
ll help many more people to participate in this "happening"
Gatasansa: I am surprised about this "happening". That is the reason why I want
to know what is happening. What I would like to ask you is how things "happen".
Kavisha: there will be many things. I just feel. Many things will be coming. But
the joy to live in such a way is that we don't plan anything. We don't think ab
out how things happen and will end. We don't sit and plan, we don't need to. Jus
t something happens. Like, you have come today, and this journey has started, an
d something will happen. I love that it is always bringing something unknown and
wonderful.
