Dear Church Family,

Our Vacation Bible School is just around the corner. I want to thank those who
have volunteered to give of their time for that very important outreach and
ministry event. Please be praying for all the teachers and leaders, children and
their families. Pray that God will move in the hearts of people and that He will be
pleased with our efforts.

Our churchs mission statement says that we are called to make disciples. The
question is, What strategy will we use to accomplish that? I still believe that
LIFE Groups (Sunday School), small groups is the best strategy for making
disciples!

I believe that discipleship is often a confusing term. For some churches,
discipleship is a class or a 13 week course that is taken by church members on
Sunday or Wednesday nights. It is much more than that. For others, discipleship
is meant for church members and evangelism is what we do to unbelievers. The
Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), does not differentiate between believers
and unbelievers when it comes to making disciples. The starting point is the same-
lost people. The end goal is the same- fully devoted followers of Christ. For this
reason, any strategy the local church uses for discipleship should include both the
extension of the Gospel into the community (commonly called outreach) and the
continuing growth of the Gospel in the lives of believers.

I know many churches have either abandoned or lessened the vital role of
Sunday School or small groups as the churchs primary strategy to make disciples.
I believe we should use many strategies to make disciples (block parties,
evangelistic events, social ministries, mens ministry, womens ministry, etc.), but
these strategies should complement the small group strategy of the church. Every
ministry should plan on how it will connect the people that it touches or reaches,
to a LIFE Group or small group of some kind.

In a few days school will be out and summer is here. When you are in town, be
faithful to your church.

In His love,
Bro. Darrol

Dear Church Family,
First of all, congratulations to all of our graduating high school and college seniors class of 2014! We are
extremely proud of your accomplishments and I look forward to seeing what will become of you in the future.
Always remember that the Lord has a plan for you and you can always rely on Him.
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does
the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love
mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
June is upon us, and VBS is here! I would highly encourage you, if still undecided, to come and be a part of
our student Vacation Bible School. After the end of the school year, these first few weeks of summer are
critical for students and we need to be there to support them in any way we can. If you have any questions
about enrolling or serving in this years VBS, please get in touch with either Mrs. Diane, Pastor Darrol, or
myself at the office so that we can plug you in for the glory of God!
On a side note, thank you so much for your contributions in our 144 Envelopes fundraiser! In total, we raised
nearly $3,000 dollars that have been distributed to students in need of financial assistance! It never ceases to
amaze me how selfless our church members are, and I thank you for your contributions.
In closing, I would just simply ask again that you continue to pray our students into this camp experience. I
cant stress enough just how important it is for our group to have that foundation of prayer before we even
reach the campus on Lake Yale. I know this is a praying church, and I have no doubt that this camp
experience will impact our students in ways that will change their lives forever.

Keep fishing,
Bro. Brian

Social, Kitchen and Benevolence News
An important part of Social, Kitchen and Benevolence Ministries is contacting members to provide food
for various functions such as fellowships, children programs, VBS, O2Cafe, Moblize, a family in need
and benevolence.
I would like to thank my church family for supporting me and serving with me in the Social/Kitchen and
Benevolence Ministries. Together, we have made a difference in meeting needs and support for many
projects.
If you are interested in serving in these ministries, you may call me at (863) 632-1917. Additional help
is always needed in preparing food and clean up. If cooking is not your forte, consider donating funds to
purchase meat or additional supplies.
I would like to express my appreciation to the following special people; Doug and Cindy Wise, Larry
and Mary Frances Blackwelder, Mary Lou Brantley, Martha Moser, Betty Crews, Maureen Bullock and
Ronnie Hadden. They serve and clean up. Also, a special thank you to the following youth who set up
tables and chairs; Jacob Marrow, Gabriel Marrow, Jennifer Kelley, Mathew Coon, Wyatt White and
Michael Hutchinson.
In Christ,
Treva Morrison

Thank you so much for your love and prayers. You
will never know the many blessings I have had through
the people of this church.

Pastor Darrol married us on September 15, 2010. Ed
Butler showed Charles the Roman Road, and he
accepted Christ as his Savior.

Your kind expression of sympathy is gratefully
acknowledged and deeply appreciated by the family.

Love to all,
Donna Rice

Thank You Note

The family of Myrtice Isom would like to express
our appreciation for the wonderful good food you
prepared for all of us after the service on Saturday.
I know everyone enjoyed it because so many of us
went back for seconds.

Also, thank you so much for the flowers, they
were so pretty.
