Display Modes
The meter has 3 display modes. 1) Normal 2) Alternate 3) High Resolution Mode
Normal Mode: In the normal mode the display parameters will scroll. The display hold time will be programmable. There will be an indication to indicate the communication is on.
Alternate Mode: The pressing of a button will start or stop this mode. The display will scroll the parameters in up or down direction based on the pressing of a button. There will be an indication to indicate the communication is on.
High Resolution Mode: The pressing of a button will start or stop this mode. The display will scroll the parameters in up or down direction based on the pressing of a button. There will be an indication to indicate the communication is on. The meter will display the energy parameters with 2 integers and 4 decimals.

Enclosure The ABT meter offers the following features: Unbreakable, high grade, flame retardant polycarbonate with thickness more than 2.0 mm, and of good dielectric and mechanical strength. The material of meter base & terminal block shall be glass reinforced The detachable terminal block shall be moulded type made of non-hygroscopic, flame retardant material having good dielectric and mechanical strength. The molded terminal block shall be made from 10- 20% glass filled polycarbonate material conforming to FH-1 of IS 11731 (Part-I) having adequate insulating properties and mechanical strength with brass inserts for connecting terminals. The terminal block satisfy all the conditions specified in IEC-62052 & IS-14697. The Terminal block shall form an extension of the meter case and shall have terminal holes and shall be of sufficient size to accommodate the insulated conductors & meeting the requirement of IS 13779 :1993/CBIP technical report- 88.

Terminal cover Extended Terminal Block Cover Short Terminal Block Cover The fixing screw(s) used on the ETBC for fixing and sealing of extended terminal cover shall be held captive on the terminal cover. Extended terminal block cover shall be provided to ensure that the internal parts are not accessible for tampering etc. without breaking the seals. The ETBC shall be extended by about 30 mm 5 mm below the terminal block. A firm connection shall be established with in the meter case to energies the voltage circuit. To facilitate sealing, a raised support arrangement with minimum 2 mm hole nearby sealing screws, which shall constitute an integral part of the terminal cover or a slot type arrangement underneath/alongside the sealing screw shall be provided. The meter shall have minimum three fixing holes, one at the top and other two inside the terminal block. The top hole shall be key-hole type on the back of the meter base so that the hanging-screw is not accessible after fixing of the meter and it shall not be possible to remove the meter from the hanging-screw without removing the terminal cover and screw(s) from the terminal block. Name plate and Marking The meter shall have a nameplate clearly visible, effectively secured against removal and indelible. It be distinctly marked with all essential details as per IS14697/IEC 62052-11-2003 standard. The meter Serial No. shall be Bar Coded along with Numeric No. The nameplate marking not fade or otherwise be adversely affected by UV exposure with lapse of time. Top cover removal detection The Top cover Opening is detected and logged as an event. It operates without obstruction while opening or closing the Enclosure.
Magnetic field Test The meter withstands all the tests for external AC/DC magnetic field as per CBIP-88. Moreover, the magnetic influence test for permanent magnet of 0.5 Tesla for a minimum period of 15 minutes on the meter body. If the accuracy of the meter gets affected during the test, then the same shall be recorded as magnetic tamper event with date and time stamping and the meter shall record energy considering maximum value current (Imax) and reference voltage at unity power factor. After removal of the magnet the meter behave normally and meet the accuracy as per IS14697. The meter accuracy shall not be affected by AC/DC magnetic field of 0.2T on all the sides of meter i.e. front, sides, top and bottom of the meter as per CBIP-88 Technical Report. Moreover meter working shall not be affected by permanent magnet of 0.5 T of minimum size 70 x70 x 50 mm. The reactive energy shall be recorded for each metering interval in four different registers as kVARh Q1, kVARh Q2, kVARh Q3, kVARh Q4. Two separate registers shall be provided to record kVARH when system voltage is >103% and when system voltage is < 97%. The meter shall compute the net kWh and kVARh during each successive 15-minute block metering interval along with a plus/minus sign. These values will be displayed and stored in the load profile.
