Microsoft Office KMS Activation

Please choose the appropriate KMS Client Setup Key for your version of Office from below

Switching from MAK Activation to KMS Activation on an AD joined Computer
* Please Note: Commands will need to be ran using an Elevated Command Prompt window. *

1. Type the following command, depending on your version of Office:

Office 2010:
32-Bit Version
CD \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14
64-Bit Version
CD \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14
Office 2013:
32-Bit Version
CD \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15
64-Bit Version
CD \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15

2. Type the following command to tell Microsoft Office to activate with KMS (substitute <product key>
for the KMS Client key obtain from above:

cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:<product key>
Click the Enter key (You should see the following if done successfully)



3. Next type the following command to activate windows manually to verify you are using KMS:

cscript ospp.vbs /act
Click the Enter key (You should see the following if done successfully)

1. Type the following command, depending on your version of Office:

64-Bit Version
CD \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14
Office 2013:
32-Bit Version
CD \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15
64-Bit Version
CD \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15

2. Type the following command to tell Microsoft Office to activate with KMS (substitute <product key>
for the KMS Client key obtain from above:

cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:<product key>
Click the Enter key (You should see the following if done successfully)


3. Type the following command to manually specify the hostname of UCs KMS Host:

cscript ospp.vbs /sethst:ucapmeiw11.ad.uc.edu
Click the Enter key (You should see the following if done successfully)


4. Next type the following command to activate windows manually to verify you are using KMS:

cscript ospp.vbs /act
Click the Enter key (You should see the following if done successfully)
