I wish to see myself as a Research Scientist, a decade from now. My motivation behind this career plan
has been the desire to be at the forefront of high-quality research and its practical applications to everyday
life. I intend to harness my virtuosity and knowledge by carrying out innovative research in the wireless
and telecommunications industry.
Research Interests: Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communications and Networks, RF &
Optical Communications and Optical Telecom Networks

Achievements:
• Secured second position in “Techno vision”, a paper presentation contest (among 107 teams) in
Apogee 2008 - Technical festival of BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan, India
• The paper entitled “Sensor Network-Monitoring Micro Agromet Parameters ” has been presented
at IETE Zonal Seminar on Communications and Information Technologies, 2008 at S.V
University, Tirupati, Andhrapradesh, India
• Project that had submitted at The World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science
2009 (WCECS 2009) has been accepted for publication.
- Paper number : ICIMT_11
- Title : Clustered Architecture for Adaptive Multimedia Streaming in WiMAX-based
Cellular Networks
Work Experience: Duration: July 2009 – Till Date
• Software Engineer in a Prestigious Software Company – Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd., (An SEI-
CMMI Level 5 assessed & ISO 27001 Company), Gandhinagar, India.
• Joined as a Trainee-Software Engineer and completed training for a period of 2 months in Core
Java, J2EE Technologies and Web Services.
My Role: The project assigned was in the implementation stage at the the module level. It
involved thorough understanding of the framework requirements and development of a module
for creating profiles of the clients
This module mainly postulates the customer personal and contact details, also displays the details
about their payment amount, dates . Along with these the complete access details of the customer
such as the IP address of the machine and time of inquiry can be tracked.
This project involves designing a cross layer by creating a system model which follows double
dumbbell topology i.e. client nodes act as receivers, server nodes act as transmitters (sometimes
act as receivers also).
The main base station (the central node) acts as major source for transmission. The major
Algorithms used here are QOAS (Quality Oriented Adaptive Scheme), LDA+ (enhanced Loss
Delay Algorithm), TFRCP (TCP – based Friendly Rate Control Protocol), and RBAR (Receiver
Based Auto Rate)
Tools Used: NS2, Matlab
Internships
1. Research Internship: QOAS for Wireless Networks Duration: May - July 2008
Supervisor: Prof. Hrishikesh Venkataraman
Worked on Quality Oriented Adaptive Scheme (QOAS) for cluster based hierarchical two-hop
cellular networks. Here by creating a double dumbbell topology, the flow for traffic can be taken
from one node to another with different back grounds like CBR (Constant bit rate) with periodic,
stair case and exponential.
Tools used: NS2 (Network Simulator2) and Matlab.
Learnt the function and the usage of PCI Microcontroller in a power supply unit of a missile and
also had an exposure to the research and Industrial environment at Bharath Dynamics Limited.
Language Used: C Platform: Linux
Research Projects
• Quality Oriented Adaptive Scheme – Multimedia (Video) streaming.
Duration: Jan’ 2008 – April’ 2008
This is used for high bit-rate multimedia streaming in local broad band multi-service all IP-
networks. Implementation was done in Network Simulator 2 with different backgrounds (TCP
based - linear, stair-case, exponential.)
This project involved the study of application of HHT for non linear and non stationary objects in
Speech communications.
Tool Used: Matlab
A UART is usually an individual (or part of an) integrated circuit used for serial communications
over a computer or peripheral device serial port. It is a piece of computer hardware that translates
data between parallel and serial forms and is commonly used in conjunction with other
communication standards such as EIA RS-232.
Skills Used: Verilog Programming Hardware Used: Spartan 3 Kit
Developed a web based application for a real client based in Visakhapatnam, which generates pay
slips and reports for the employees of our client and used Rational suit and generated test cases to
design efficient system.
Proposed a system that monitors the micro climatic conditions like Air Temperature, Air
Pressure, Relative Humidity of air, Radiation, Rain Rate, Rain Fall, Soil Temperature, Soil
Moisture, Wind Velocity, Wind Direction for a plant using sensors and XBEE Communication
modules to help in the Indian Agricultural Scenario. This system proposes to monitor these
critical factors through a network of sensors consisting of nodes distributed in the farms
communicating with a central node in the village.
Built a database management system for any Hostel which includes the database of the
joining of the students and various aspects involved in DBMS like requirement analysis, database
design, query formulation, optimization, indexing the database are done.
The project involved the design of ATM like machines for versatile applications in the
University campus as part of the course, Introduction to Design.
